The protein kinase B(Akt)pathway can regulate the growth,proliferation,and metabolism of tumor cells and stem cells through the activation of multiple downstream target genes,thus affecting the development and treatment of a range of *** superfamily member 4(THEM4),a member of the thioesterase superfamily,is one of the Akt kinase-binding *** studies on the mechanism of cancers and other diseases have shown that THEM4 binds to Akt to regulate its ***,THEM4 was considered an endogenous inhibitor of Akt,which can inhibit the phosphorylation of Akt in diseases such as lung cancer,pancreatic cancer,and liver cancer,but subsequently,THEM4 was shown to promote the proliferation of tumor cells by positively regulating Akt activity in breast cancer and nasopharyngeal carcinoma,which contradicts previous *** these two distinct views,this review summarizes the important roles of THEM4 in the Akt pathway,focusing on THEM4 as an Akt-binding protein and its regulatory relationship with Akt phosphorylation in various diseases,especially *** work provides a better understanding of the roles of THEM4 combined with Akt in the treatment of diseases.

Soil phosphorus (P) plays a vital role in both ecological and agricultural ecosystems, where total P (TP) in soil serves as a crucial indicator of soil fertility and quality. Most of the studies covered in the literature employ a single or narrow range of soil databases, which largely overlooks the impact of utilizing multiple mapping scales in estimating soil TP, especially in hilly topographies. In this study, Fujian Province, a subtropical hilly region along China’s southeast coast covered by a complex topographic environment, was taken as a case study. The influence of the mapping scale on soil TP storage (TPS)estimation was analyzed using six digital soil databases that were derived from 3 082 unique soil profiles at different mapping scales, i.e., 1:50 000 (S5),1:200 000 (S20), 1:500 000 (S50), 1:1 000 000 (S100), 1:4 000 000 (S400), and 1:10 000 000 (S1000). The regional TPS in the surface soil (0–20 cm) based on the S5, S20, S50, S100, S400, and S1000 soil maps was 20.72, 22.17, 23.06, 23.05, 22.04, and 23.48 Tg, respectively, and the corresponding TPS at0–100 cm soil depth was 80.98, 80.71, 85.00, 84.03, 82.96, and 86.72 Tg, respectively. By comparing soil TPS in the S20 to S1000 maps to that in the S5map, the relative deviations were 6.37%–13.32%for 0–20 cm and 0.33%–7.09%for 0–100 cm. Moreover, since the S20 map had the lowest relative deviation among different mapping scales as compared to S5, it could provide additional soil information and a richer soil environment than other smaller mapping scales. Our results also revealed that many uncertainties in soil TPS estimation originated from the lack of detailed soil information, i.e., representation and spatial variations among different soil types. From the time and labor perspectives, our work provides useful guidelines to identify the appropriate mapping scale for estimating regional soil TPS in areas like Fujian Province in subtropical China or other places with similar complex topographies. Optimal proportioning of iron ore in sintering process based on improved multi-objective beluga whale optimisation algorithm

柏树火焰层孔菌是中国以及亚洲菌物的新记录属中的新记录种,是一种稀有的药用菌。为寻求高产的生长条件和经济的培养基,进行转速、温度、pH值、培养液装瓶体积、接种量、碳源、氮源、C/N对菌丝体生长影响的单因素试验和多因素试验设计,利用液体培养基探索这些条件对菌丝体产量的影响。结果表明:菌丝生长最适碳源为淀粉,最适氮源为麸皮,P、K、Mg对菌丝的生长具有促进作用,最适C/N为20:1～25:1;菌丝生长的最适转速为150r/min,温度为25～30℃,最佳pH值为5～7,最适培养液装瓶体积为100mL,最适接种量为8mL/100mL。液体培养基的最佳营养条件为:葡萄糖25g/L、麸皮125g/L、K2HPO40.25g/L、pH6.5。通过生长曲线实验得到Logsitic方程为:y=0.22/(1+1.019e-0.013x)。

Accurate prediction of biliary atresia with an integrated model using MMP-7 levels and bile acids

Background Biliary atresia(BA)is a rare fatal liver disease in children,and the aim of this study was to develop a method to diagnose BA *** We determined serum levels of matrix metalloproteinase-7(MMP-7),the results of 13 liver tests,and the levels of 20 bile acids,and integrated computational models were constructed to diagnose *** Our findings demonstrated that MMP-7 expression levels,as well as the results of four liver tests and levels of ten bile acids,were significantly different between 86 BA and 59 non-BA patients(P<0.05).The computational prediction model revealed that MMP-7 levels alone had a higher predictive accuracy[area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC)=0.966,95%confidence interval(CI):0.942,0.989]than liver test results and bile acid *** AUC was 0.890(95%CI 0.837,0.943)for liver test results and 0.825(95%CI 0.758,0.892)for bile acid ***,bile levels had a higher contribution to enhancing the predictive accuracy of MMP-7 levels(AUC=0.976,95%CI 0.953,1.000)than liver test *** AUC was 0.983(95%CI 0.962,1.000)for MMP-7 levels combined with liver test results and bile acid *** addition,we found that MMP-7 levels were highly correlated with gamma-glutamyl transferase levels and the liver fibrosis *** The innovative integrated models based on a large number of indicators provide a noninvasive and cost-effective approach for accurately diagnosing BA in children.
