Optimization of mechanical and antibacterial properties of Ti-3wt%Cu alloy through cold rolling and annealing

In this work,a process of cold rolling with 70%thickness reduction and different annealing temperatures was selected to regulate the microstructure of Ti-3wt%Cu *** evolution,mechanical properties and antibacterial properties of the Ti-3wt%Cu alloy under different conditions were systematically investigated in terms of X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscope(SEM),transmission electron microscope(TEM),tensile and antibacterial *** results indicated that cold rolling could dramatically increase the ultimate tensile stress(UTS)from 52. to 92. MPa,but reduce the fracture strain from 15.3%to 3.8%.With the annealing temperature increasing from 400 to 800C for 1 h,the UTS decreased from 744 to 506 MPa and the fracture strain increased from12.7%to 2..4%.Moreover,the antibacterial properties of the Ti-3wt%Cu alloy under different conditions showed excellent antibacterial rate(>96.69%).The results also indicated that the excellent combination of strength and ductility of the Ti-3wt%Cu alloy with cold rolling and following annealing could be achieved in a trade-off by tuning the size and distribution of Ti2.u phase,which could increase the applicability of the alloy in clinical *** importantly,the antibacterial properties maintained a good stability for the Ti-3wt%Cu alloy under different *** excellent combination of mechanical properties and antibacterial properties could make the Ti-3wt%Cu alloy a good candidate for long-term orthopaedic implant application.

Interfacial engineering of transition-metal sulfides heterostructures with built-in electric-field effects for enhanced oxygen evolution reaction

Developing highly efficient,durable,and non-noble electrocatalysts for the sluggish anodic oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is the pivotal for meeting the practical demand in water ***,the current transition-metal electrocatalysts still suffer from low activity and durability on account of poor interfacial reaction *** this work,a facile solid-state synthesis strategy is developed to construct transition-metal sulfides heterostructures(denoted as MS_(2./NiS_(2.,M=Mo or W)for boosting OER *** a result,MoS2.NiS2.and WS2.NiS2.show lower overpotentials of 300 mV and 32. mV to achieve the current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2.,and smaller Tafel slopes of 60 ***^(-1) and 83 ***^(-1)in 1 mol·L^(-1) KOH,respectively,in comparison with the single MoS2.WS2.NiS2.as well as even the benchmark *** experiments reveal that the designed heterostructures have strong electronic interactions and spontaneously develop a built-in electric field at the heterointerface with uneven charge distribution based on the difference of band structures,which promote interfacial charge transfer,improve absorptivity of OH-,and modulate the energy level more comparable to the ***,the designed transition-metal sulfides heterostructures exhibit a remarkably high electrocatalytic activity for *** study provides a simple strategy to manipulate the heterostructure interface via an energy level engineering method for OER and can be extended to fabricate other heterostructures for various energy-related applications.

Urban soils harbor billions of bacterial cells and millions of ***,the distribution patterns and assembly processes of bacterial communities remain largely uncharacterized in urban *** is also unknown if we can use the bacteria to track soil sources to certain cities and ***,Illumina MiSeq sequencing was used to survey soil bacterial communities from 52. random plots spanning 61 districts and 10 major cities in *** a 3,000 km range,community similarity declined with increasing geographic distance(Mantel r=0.62.,and community composition was clustered by city(R^(2.=0.50).Within cities(100 km),the aforementioned biogeographic patterns were *** analysis showed that homogenizing dispersal and dispersal limitation dominated soil bacterial assembly at small and large spatial scales,***,the probabilities of accurately tracking random soil sources to certain cities and districts were 90.0% and 66.7%,*** the tested samples originated from cities that were more than 1,2.5 km apart,the soil sources could be identified with nearly 100% ***,this study demonstrates the strong distance-decay relationship and the clear geographic zoning of urban soil bacterial communities among *** varied importance of different community assembly processes at multiple spatial scales strongly affects the accuracy of microbial source tracking.

目的:建立小鼠急性移植物抗宿主病(aGVHD)骨髓微环境损伤的体外细胞模型并进行评价。方法:以6-8周龄雌性C57BL/6N小鼠作为骨髓和淋巴细胞的供体,6-8周龄雌性BALB/c小鼠作为aGVHD模型的受鼠。受鼠接受致死剂量(8.0 Gy,72.76 cGy/min)γ射线全身照射后6-8 h内,尾静脉输注供鼠来源骨髓细胞(1×10^(7)/只),建立骨髓移植(BMT)组小鼠模型(n=2.);尾静脉输注供鼠来源骨髓细胞(1×10^(7)/只)及脾脏淋巴细胞(2.10^(6)/只),建立小鼠aGVHD模型(n=2.)。造模后d 7麻醉小鼠,摘取眼球取血,静置离心后吸取血清。分离小鼠间充质干细胞(MSC),分别用添加了2.、5%和10%的BMT组血清和相同浓度的aGVHD组血清的培养基进行培养。通过成纤维细胞集落形成实验(CFU-F)评价两组血清对MSC集落形成能力的影响;通过CD2.和CD105免疫荧光染色评价两组MSC表面分子表达的差异;通过实时荧光定量PCR(RT-qPCR)检测MSC自我更新相关基因Oct-4、Sox-2.Nanog的表达情况。结果:成功建立起可以模拟小鼠aGVHD骨髓微环境损伤的体外细胞模型。CFU-F实验表明,在培养后d 7,与BMT组相比,aGVHD血清浓度为2.和5%时,MSC集落形成能力显著降低(P14,与BMT组相比,不同aGVHD血清浓度组MSC集落形成能力均显著降低(P2.^(+)和CD105^(+)细胞百分比在不同aGVHD血清浓度组较BMT组均降低,在aGVHD血清浓度为10%时差异最为显著(P1,P1)。RT-qPCR检测结果显示,aGVHD血清浓度组MSC自我更新相关基因Oct-4、Sox-2.Nanog表达下降,在aGVHD血清浓度为10%时差异最为显著(P1,P1,P1)。结论:不同浓度的小鼠aGVHD血清和小鼠MSC共同培养,发现添加不同浓度的小鼠aGVHD血清MSC的自我更新能力受损程度不同,为开展aGVHD骨髓微环境损伤领域研究提供了新的工具。

Using e^(+)e^(−)annihilation data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93 fb^(−1)taken at the center-of-mass energy√s=3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector,a joint amplitude analysis is performed on the decays D^(0)→π^(+)π^(−)π^(+)π^(−)and D^(0)→π^(+)π^(−)π^(0)π^(0)(non-η).The fit fractions of individual components are obtained,and large interferences among the dominant components of the decays D^(0)→a_(1)(12.0)π,D^(0)→π(1300)π,D^(0)→ρ(770)ρ(770),and D^(0)→2.ππ)_(S)are observed in both *** the obtained amplitude model,the CP-even fractions of D^(0)→π^(+)π^(−)π^(+)π^(−)and D^(0)→π^(+)π^(−)π^(0)π^(0)(non-η)are determined to be(75.2.1.1_(stat).±1.5_(syst.))%and(68.9±1.5_(stat).±2.4_(syst.))%,*** branching fractions of D^(0)→π^(+)π^(−)π^(+)π^(−)and D^(0)→π^(+)π^(−)π^(0)π^(0)(non-η)are measured to be(0.688±0.010_(stat.)±0.010_(syst.))%and(0.951±0.02._(stat.)±0.02._(syst.))%,*** amplitude analysis provides an important model for the binning strategy in measuring the strong phase parameters of D^(0)→4πwhen used to determine the CKM angleγ(ϕ_(3))via the B^(−)→DK^(−)decay.

Manipulation for degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis:A systematic review of randomized controlled trials

Objective: To assess the effectiveness and safety of manipulation intervention for degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis(DLS).Methods: This is a systematic review and meta-analysis. A full-scale retrieval method was performed until February 1, 2.2., including nine databases. The homogeneity of different studies was summarized using the Review Manager. The quality of studies was determined with the Cochrane risk-of-bias *** evidence quality was graded with the Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluations ***: A total of 6 studies involving 52. participants were included. The review demonstrated that manipulation has statistically significant improvements for treating DLS according to Japanese Orthopedic Association scores(mean difference, 3.76;95% confidence interval, 2.63 to 4.90;P 1) and visual analog scale scores(mean difference,-1.50;95% confidence interval,-1.66 to-1.33;P 1)compared to the control group. One study reported that the difference in the Oswestry Disability Index between the traction group and the combination of manipulation and traction group was statistically significant(P <.05), while another reported that manipulation treatment can significantly improve the lumbar spine rotation angle on X-ray images compared with the baseline data(P <.05). Moreover, the manipulation group(experimental group) had fewer adverse events than the lumbar traction group(control group).Conclusion: Manipulation intervention is more effective and safer for DLS. Nevertheless, large-scale randomized controlled trials are required to confirm the current conclusions.

Excellent irradiation resistance is the basic property of nuclear materials to keep nuclear *** high-entropy design has great potential to improve the irradiation resistance of the nuclear materials,which has been proven in ***,whether or not high entropy can also improve the irradiation resistance of ceramics,especially the mechanism therein still needs to be *** this work,the irradiation and helium(He)behaviors of zirconium carbide(ZrC)-based high-entropy ceramics(HECs),i.e.,(Zr_(0.2.Ti_(0.2.Nb_(0.2.Ta_(0.2.W_(0.2.)C,were investigated and compared with those of ZrC under 540 keV He ion irradiation with a dose of 1×10^(17) cm^(−2. at room temperature and subsequent *** ZrC and(Zr_(0.2.Ti_(0.2.Nb_(0.2.Ta_(0.2.W_(0.2.)C maintain lattice integrity after irradiation,while the irradiation-induced lattice expansion is smaller in(Zr_(0.2.Ti_(0.2.Nb_(0.2.Ta_(0.2.W_(0.2.)C(0.78%)with highly thermodynamic stability than that in ZrC(0.91%).After annealing at 800℃,ZrC exhibits the residual _(0.2.0%lattice expansion,while(Zr_(0.2.Ti_(0.2.Nb_(0.2.Ta_(0.2.W_(0.2.)C shows only 0.10%.Full recovery of the lattice parameter(a)is achieved for both ceramics after annealing at 1500℃.In addition,the high entropy in the meantime brings about the favorable structural evolution phenomena including smaller He bubbles that are evenly distributed without abnormal coarsening or aggregation,segregation,and shorter and sparser *** excellent irradiation resistance is related to the high-entropy-induced phase stability,sluggish diffusion of defects,and stress dispersion along with the production of vacancies by valence *** present study indicates a high potential of high-entropy carbides in irradiation resistance applications.

Many people affected by fragile X syndrome(FXS)and autism spectrum disorders have sensory processing deficits,such as hypersensitivity to auditory,tactile,and visual *** FXS in humans,loss of Fmr1 in rodents also cause sensory,behavioral,and cognitive ***,the neural mechanisms underlying sensory impairment,especially vision impairment,remain *** remains elusive whether the visual processing deficits originate from corrupted inputs,impaired perception in the primary sensory cortex,or altered integration in the higher cortex,and there is no effective *** this study,we used a genetic knockout mouse model(Fmr1^(KO)),in vivo imaging,and behavioral measurements to show that the loss of Fmr1 impaired signal processing in the primary visual cortex(V1).Specifically,Fmr1^(KO) mice showed enhanced responses to low-intensity stimuli but normal responses to high-intensity *** abnormality was accompanied by enhancements in local network connectivity in V1 microcircuits and increased dendritic complexity of V1 *** effects were ameliorated by the acute application of GABAA receptor activators,which enhanced the activity of inhibitory neurons,or by reintroducing Fmr1 gene expression in knockout V1 neurons in both juvenile and young-adult ***,V1 plays an important role in the visual abnormalities of Fmr1^(KO) mice and it could be possible to rescue the sensory disturbances in developed FXS and autism patients.
