Tuning strong metal-support interaction between Pt-based alloys and metal oxides is an effective strategy for modulating the performance of oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).Herein,Pt_(3)Ni alloy anchored on WO_(x) with different content of oxygen vacancies is synthesized,and the effect of unsaturated WO_(x) on ORR activity/stability is *** results indicate that ORR activity is positively correlated with oxygen vacancy concentration,while durability presents the opposite *** functional theory(DFT)calculation results suggest that controlling the content of oxygen vacancies can usefully adjust the charge redistribution between Pt_(3)Ni and WO_(x),which can optimize the adsorption/activation of reactants,thus obtaining good ORR *** study uncovers the effect of unsaturated WO_(x) on ORR performance for Pt-based alloys and provides a promising strategy to design efficient and stable ORR catalysts.

Transition metal sulfides(TMS)hold great promise as anode materials for Li^(+)/Na^(+)***,their practical application still faces several challenges,such as inadequate electrical conductivity,substantial volume changes and a propensity for *** tackle these challenges,a 3D composite structure composed of graphene nanosheets crosslinked core−shell FeS_(2)@N,S co−doped porous carbon(FeS_(2)@NSC/GNs)is created by combining self−template polymerization with the graphene encapsulation *** characterization and analysis demonstrate the effectiveness of the self−template polymerization strategy in generating a porous core−shell structure,which facilitates the uniform dispersion and optimal contact of the FeS_(2) core within the carbon ***,the integration of graphene,alongside the porous carbon shell,introduces a sophisticated dual−protection mechanism against volume expansion and undesirable FeS_(2) ***,the resulting 3D architecture enables efficient electron/ion transport and provides abundant sites for Li^(+)/Na^(+)*** these inherent benefits,the FeS_(2)@NSC/GNs composite exhibits significantly improved lithium/sodium storage performance in comparison to the ***,our proposed approach offers valuable guidance for the construction of advanced anodes for lithium/sodium−ion batteries.

Neuronavigator-guided percutaneous radiofrequency thermocoagulation in the treatment of intractable trigeminal neuralgia

Background Percutaneous radiofrequency thermocoagulation of the trigeminal ganglion （PRTTG） is regarded as the first choice for most patients with trigeminal neuralgia （TN） because of its safety and feasibility. However, neuronavigator-guided PRTTG has been seldom reported. The purpose of this study was to assess the safety and efficacy of neuronavigator-guided PRTTG for the treatment of intractable TN. Methods Between January 2000 and December 2004, 54 patients with intractable TN were enrolled into this study and were randomly divided into two groups. The patients in navigation group （n=26） underwent PRTTG with frameless neuronavigation, and those in control group （n=28） received PRTTG without neuronavigation. Three months after the operation, the efficacy, side effects, and complications of the surgery were recorded. The patients in the control group were followed up for 10 to 54 months （mean, 34±5）, and those in the navigation group were followed up for 13 to 58 months （mean, 36±7）. Kaplan-Meier analyses of the pain-free survival curves were used for the censored survival data, and the log-rank test was used to compare survival curves of the two groups. Results The immediate complete pain-relief rate of the navigation group was 100%, whereas it was 95% in the control. The proportion of sustained pain-relief rates at 12, 24 and 36 months after the procedure were 85%, 77%, and 62% in the navigation group, and 54%, 40%, and 35% in the control. Recurrences in the control group were more common than that in the navigation group. Annual recurrence rate in the first and second years were 15% and 23% in the navigation group, and 46%, 60% in the control group. No side-effect and complication was noted in the navigation group except minimal facial hypesthesia. Conclusion Neuronavigator-guided PRTTG is a safe and promising method for treatment of intractable TN with better short- and long-term outcomes and lower complication rate than PRTI＇G without neuronavigation.

Adsorbent-assisted air water harvesting(AWH)may help alleviate the current global freshwater scarcity ***,the weak sorption capacity of various adsorbents and the high energy required to release water are two long-standing ***,we propose a class of green and clean adsorbent,TpPa-1@LiCl composite,whose sorption capacity is greatly improved to 0.37 and 0.80 g g^(-1)under 30%and 90%relative humidity(RH),respectively,and which has excellent stability,showing only a slight decrease(0.79%)after 10 sorp-tion–desorption cycles(1400 min).This TpPa-1@LiCl composite can reach equilibrium within 2 h and undergo complete desorption in 30 min under air mass 1.5 G irradiation.A corresponding solar-driven AWH device can complete up to 4 sorption–desorption cycles per day,with each cycle capable of collecting 0.34 g g^(-1)water without additional energy input,which implies TpPa-1@LiCl composite has the potential for achieving sorption-assisted AWH with high efficiency and rapid cycling.

We introduce an adaptive delivering capacity mechanism into the traffic dynamic model on scale-free networks under shortest path routing strategy and focus on its effect on the network capacity measured by the critical point(R_(c))of phase transition from free flow to *** this mechanism,the total node's delivering capacity is fixed and the allocation of delivering capacity on node i is proportional to niφ,where ni is the queue length of node i andφis the adjustable *** is found that the network capacity monotonously increases with the increment ofφ,but there exists an optimal value of parameterφleading to the highest transportation efficiency measured by average travelling time(〈T〉).Our work may be helpful for optimal design of networked traffic dynamics.

Intracellular ATP is an emerging biomarker for cancer early diagnosis because it is a key messenger for regulating the proliferation and migration of cancer ***,the conventional ATP biosensing strat-egy is often limited by the undesired on-target off-tumor ***,we reported a novel strategy to design enzymatically controlled DNA tetrahedron nanoprobes(En-DT)for biosensing and imaging ATP in tumor *** En-DT was designed via rational engineering of structure-switching aptamers with the incorporation of an enzyme-activatable site and further conjugation on the DNA *** En-DT could be catalytically activated by apurinic/apyrimidinic endonuclease 1(APE1)in cancer cells,but they did not respond to ATP in normal cells,thereby enabling cancer-specific ATP biosensing and imaging in vitro and in vivo with improved tumor *** strategy would facilitate the precise detection of a broad range of biomarker in tumors and may promote the development of smart probes for cancer diagnosis.

The sputtering yield of the Si3N4 thin film is calculated by Monte Carlo method with different parameters. The dependences of the sputtering yield on the incident ion energy, the incident angle and the number of Gallium （Ga） and Arsenic （As） ions are predicted. The abnormal sputtering yield for As at 90 keV occurs when the incident angle reaches the range between 82° and 84°.

Lotus(Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn.)is an economically important perennial aquatic herb plant in ***,viral diseases caused by Cucumber mosaic virus(CMV)and Dasheen mosaic virus(DsMV)are detected in *** this study,the putatively novel badnaviruses from lotus plants(LBVs)were identified using next-generation sequencing of siRNAs and conventional Sanger sequencing based on the RT/RNase H coding region *** plants infected by LBVs harbored virus quasispecies.A unique recombination event of LBVs was found in a single lotus *** inoculation showed that LBVs could actively replicate in the lotus plants,but without a wide host *** field survey of 43 lotus plants in Jiangsu Province showed a prevalence of 62.8%for LBVs,confirming that it is widely distributed in Jiangsu Province of China.
