Background:Concurrent chemoradiotherapy(CCrT)is the standard treatment for locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC).However,the optimal radiotherapy regimen,particularly in terms of total dose and planned range of irradiation field,remains *** phase III clinical trial aimed to compare the survival benefits between different radiation doses and different target ***:This trial compared two aspects of radiation treatment,total dose and field,using a two-by-two factorial *** high-dose(HD)group received 59.4 Gy radiation,and the standard-dose(SD)group received 50.4 *** involved field irradiation(IFI)group and elective nodal irradiation(ENI)group adopted different irradiation *** participants were assigned to one of the four groups(HD+ENI,HD+IFI,SD+ENI and SD+IFI).The primary endpoint was overall survival(OS),and the secondary endpoints included progressionfree survival(pFS).The synergy indexwas used to measure the interaction effect between dose and ***:The interaction analysis did not reveal significant synergistic effects between the dose and irradiation *** comparison to the target field,patients in IFI or ENI showed similar OS(hazard ratio[Hr]=0.99,95%CI:0.80-1.23,p=0.930)and pFS(Hr=1.02,95%CI:0.82–1.25).TheHDtreatment did not show significantly prolonged OS compared with SD(Hr=0.90,95%CI:0.72–1.11,p=0.318),but it suggested improved pFS(25.2 months to 18.0 months).Among the four groups,the HD+IFI group presented the best survival,while the SD+IFI group had the worst *** significant difference in the occurrence of severe adverse events was found in dose or field ***:IFI demonstrated similar treatment efficacy to ENI in CCrT of *** HD demonstrated improved pFS,but did not significantly improve *** dose escalation based on IFI(HD+IFI)showed better therapeutic efficacy than the current recommendation(SD+ENI)and is worth further validation.

precipitation of α_2 phase in α+β Solution-Treated and Air-cooled Ti-Al-Sn-Zr-Mo-Si-Nd Alloys

A series of Ti-Al-Sn-Zr-Mo-Si-Nd alloys with various content of Al were solution treated in α+β phase field and air-cooled. The precipitation of a2 phase in cooling was investigated by transmission electron microscopic analysis The precipitation characteristic of α2 phase was discussed. The precipitation of α2 phase would proceed by the nucleation and growth of α2 phase dependent on the diffusion of Al atoms. And a comparison on the difference of precipitation of α2 phase was carried out under the conditions of air-cooling and quenching in water. The investigation showed that the air-cooling and even quenching could supply enough time for the precipitation and growth of α2 phase when Al content reached a certain value even though far away from the stoichiometric composition of Ti3Al.

Effects of temperature and rare earth content on oxidation resistance of Ni-based superalloy

The oxidation behaviors of the Ni-22Cr-14W-2Mo superalloys with various La contents were investigated at 1 000℃and 1 100℃up to 500 *** experimental results show that the oxidation resistance is improved by La *** mechanism of the reactive-element effect（rEE） exhibits some difference at various oxidation *** rEE is dependent on the solutionized La content when the alloy is oxidized at 1 000℃.The dispersed LaCrO3segregates on the grain boundaries of *** hence the diffusion of metallic ions,e.g.,Mn2+and Cr3+,are *** oxidation resistance decreases with the increase of La content. However,the rEE ascribes not only to the solutionized La,but also to the La-Ni intermetallic phases,when the alloy is oxidized at 1 100℃.The oxidation resistance is influenced by two effects:firstly,the formation of the dispersed La2O3from the solutionized La on the grain boundary of Cr-oxides reduces the oxidation rate,and secondly,the aggregation of the La-O oxides from the large amount of La-Ni phases accelerates the oxidation *** alloy with 0.026%La（mass fraction） exhibited excellent oxidation resistance at 1 100℃.

The correlation between microstructure and magnetic properties of Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si15.5B7 alloy annealed at 360°C—620°C has been investigated. The best static and dynamic soft magnetic properties have been obtained after annealing at 500°C and 550°C for 1 h, respectively. The dependence of annealing temperature on coercivity has shown three magnetic hardenings for the studied alloys annealed at 460°C, 530°C and 620°C, respectively. And the plot of core loss as a function of annealing temperature manifests a peak at 530℃, and this peak increases with increasing magnetic induction at low frequencies. This effect can probably be attributed to the precipitation of a new phase.
