Theγ-ray emission from the W51 complex is widely acknowledged to be attributed to the interaction between the cosmic rays(CRs)accelerated by the shock of supernova remnant(SNR)W51C and the dense molecular clouds in the adjacent star-forming region,***,the maximum acceleration capability of W51C for CRs remains *** on observations conducted with the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory(LHAASO),we report a significant detection ofγrays emanating from the W51 complex,with energies from 2 to 200 *** LHAASO measurements,for the first time,extend theγ-ray emission from the W51 complex beyond 100 TeV and reveal a significant spectrum bending at tens of *** combining the"π^(0)-decay bump"featured data from Fermi-LAT,the broadbandγ-ray spectrum of the W51 region can be well-characterized by a simple pp-collision *** observed spectral bending feature suggests an exponential cutoff at~400 TeV or a power-law break at~200 TeV in the CR proton spectrum,most likely providing the first evidence of SNRs serving as CR accelerators approaching the PeV ***,two young star clusters within W51b could also be theoretically viable to produce the most energeticγrays observed by *** findings strongly support the presence of extreme CR accelerators within the W51 complex and provide new insights into the origin of Galactic CRs.

Accelerating column leaching trial on copper sulfide ore

The main measures to accelerate leaching sulfide ore are large spraying intensity,manual oxygen supply,temperature control,and acclimated *** indoor experiment accelerating sulfide ore leaching detected the temperature during leaching process,dissolvability of oxygen,bacterial concentration,Cu concentration and slag *** the same time,this paper also analyzed the effect of four factors,which are bacterial diversity cultivation stage,spraying intensity,air supply,and whether to control temperature,on the leaching efficiency of *** results indicate that the oxygen content of leach solution has a close relationship with temperature but it is rarely affected by air *** bacterial concentration preserves from 106 to 107 mL^-1,and temperature has a great effect on the bacterial activity under the condition of proper temperature and oxygen supply,and the lack of nutrition prevents the bacterial concentration from rising in the late *** relationships of the copper leaching efficiency to temperature,air feed,and spraying intensity are directly *** leaching efficiencies of the cultivated bacteria and acclimation bacteria are 1.2 and 1.4 times as large as that of the original bacteria.

We report the detection of aγ-ray bubble spanning at least 100deg2 in ultra-high energy(UHE)up to a few PeV in the direction of the star-forming region Cygnus X,implying the presence super PeVatron(s)accelerating protons to at least 10 PeV.A log-parabola form with the photon indexΓ(E)=(2.71±0.02)+(0.11±0.02)×log10(E/10 TeV)is found fitting the gamma-ray energy spectrum of the bubble *** sources,“hot spots”correlated with very massive molecular clouds,and a quasi-spherical amorphousγ-ray emitter with a sharp central brightening are observed in the *** the core of~0.5°,spatially associating with a region containing massive Ob association(Cygnus Ob2)and a microquasar(Cygnus X-3),as well as previously reported multi-TeV sources,an enhanced concentration of UHEγ-rays is observed with 2 photons at energies above 1 *** general feature of the bubble,the morphology,and the energy spectrum,are reasonably reproduced by the assumption of a particle accelerator in the core,continuously injecting protons into the ambient medium.

Influence of rare earth promoters on the performance of Ni/Mg(Al)O catalysts for hydrogenation and steam reforming of toluene

CeO2-, La2O3-, and ZrO2-promoted Ni/Mg（Al）O catalysts synthesized by hydrotalcite-type precursors have been investigated with respect to catalytic activity and carbon formation in the hydrogenation and steam reforming of toluene as a model tar compound. X-ray diffraction （XRD）, brunauer-Emmett-Teller （bET） specific surface area and Hz-temperature programmed reduction （TPR） were used to observe the characteristics of the prepared catalysts. The carbon formation and its amount on the used catalysts were examined by transmission electron microscope （TEM）, scanning electron microscope （SEM） and thermogravimetric （TG）. The trend of catalytic activity as derived from the experimental results followed the order： Ni-Ce〉Ni-La〉Ni-Zr〉Ni. The catalyst modified with CeO2 exhibited the highest catalytic performance and had good carbon resistance in the hydrogenation and steam reforming of toluene. A toluene conversion of 96.8%, a CH4 yield of 45.2% and a CO yield of 50.4% have been achieved. The addition of promoters led to better dispersion of nickel species and higher interaction nickel-support, which were favorable for increasing the catalytic activity and effectively preventing carbon formation.

Iron-chromium redox flow battery(ICRFb)is an electrochemical energy storage technology that plays a vital role in dealing with the problems of discontinuity and instability of massive new energy generation and improving the acceptance capacity of the power *** cloth electrode(CC)is the main site where the electrochemical reaction occurs,which always suffers from the disadvantages of poor electrochemical reactivity.A new N-b codoped co-regulation Ti composite CC electrode(T-b-CC)is firstly generated and applied to ICRFb,where the REDOX reaction can be promoted significantly owing to the plentiful active sites generated on the modified *** contrasted with ICRFb with normal CC electrode,after 50 battery charge/discharge cycles,the discharge capacity(1,990.3 mAh vs 1,155.8 mAh)and electrolyte utilization(61.88%vs 35.94%)of ICRFb with CC electrode(T-b-CC)are significantly ***,the energy efficiency(EE)is maintained at about 82.7%under 50 cycles,which is 9.3%higher than that of the pristine electrically assembled *** comodulation of heteroatom doping and the introduction of Ti catalysts is a simple and easy method to improve the dynamics of the Cr^(3+)/Cr^(2+)and Fe^(3+)/Fe^(2+)reactions,enhancing the performance of ICRFbs.

The Critical Rainfall Characteristics for Torrents and Debris Flows in the Wenchuan Earthquake Stricken Area

Critical rainfall assessment is a very important tool for hazard management of torrents and debris flows in mountainous areas. The Wenchuan Earthquake 2008 caused huge casualties and property damages in the earthquake-stricken area,which also generated large quantities of loose solid materials and increased occurrence probabilities of debris flows. There is an urgent need to quantify the critical rainfall distribution in the area so that better hazard management could be planned and if real time rainfall forecast is available,torrent and debris flow early-warning could be issued in advance. This study is based on 49-year observations (1954-2003) of up to 678 torrent and debris flow events. Detailed contour maps of 1 hour and 24 hour critical rainfalls have been generated (Due to the data limitation,there was insufficient 10 minute critical rainfall to make its contour map). Generally,the contour maps from 1 hour and 24 hours have similar patterns. Three zones with low,medium and high critical rainfalls have been identified. The characteristics of the critical rainfall zones are linked with the local vegetation cover and land forms. Further studies and observations are needed to validate the finding and improve the contour maps.
