Improvement of Film Cooling Design for Turbine Vane Leading Edge Considering Combustor Outflow

As the interaction between the combustor and the turbine in the aero-engine continues to increase,the film cooling design considering the combustor swirling outflow has become the research focus.The swirling inflow and high-temperature gas first affect the vane leading edge(LE).However,no practical improved solution for the LE cooling design has been proposed considering the combustor swirling outflow.In this paper,the improved scheme of showerhead cooling is carried out around the two ways of adopting the laid-back-fan-shaped hole and reducing the coolant outflow angle.The film cooling effectiveness(η) and the coolant flow state are obtained by PSP(pressure-sensitive-paint) and numerical simulation methods,respectively.The research results show that the swirling inflow increases the film distribution inhomogeneity by imposing the radial pressure gradient on the vane to make the film excessively gather in some positions.The showerhead film cooling adopts the laid-back-fan-shaped hole to reduce the momentum when the coolant flows out.Although this cooling scheme improves the film attachment and increases the surface-averaged film cooling effectiveness(η_(sur)) by as much as15.4%,the film distribution inhomogeneity increases.After reducing the coolant outlet angle,the wall-tangential velocity of the coolant increases,and the wall-normal velocity decreases.Under the swirl intake condition,both ηand the film distribution uniformity are significantly increased,and the growth of η_(sur) is up to 16.5%.This paper investigates two improved schemes to improve the showerhead cooling under the swirl intake condition to provide a reference for the vane cooling design.

The emerging tumor microbe microenvironment: From delineation to multidisciplinary approach-based interventions

Intratumoral microbiota has become research hotspots,and emerges as a non-negligent new component of tumor microenvironments(TME),due to its powerful infuence on tumor initiation,metas-tasis,immunosurveillance and prognosis despite in low-biomass.The accumulations of microbes,and their related components and metabolites within tumor tissues,endow TME with additional pluralistic features which are distinct from the conventional one.Therefore,it's definitely necessary to comprehen-sively delineate the sophisticated landscapes of tumor microbe microenvironment,as well as their func-tions and related underlying mechanisms.Herein,in this review,we focused on the fields of tumor microbe microenvironment,including the heterogeneity of intratumor microbiota in different types of tu-mors,the controversial roles of intratumoral microbiota,the basic features of tumor microbe microenvi-ronment(i.e.,pathogen-associated molecular patterns(PAMPs),typical microbial metabolites,autophagy,infammation,multi-faceted immunomodulation and chemoresistance),as well as the multi-disciplinary approach-based intervention of tumor microbiome for cancer therapy by applying wild-type or engineered live microbes,microbiota metabolites,antibiotics,synthetic biology and rationally de-signed biomaterials.We hope our work will provide valuable insight to deeply understand the interplay of cancer-immune-microbial,and facilitate the development of microbes-based tumor-specific treatments.

An efficient method for constructing a random insertional mutant library for forward genetics in Nannochloropsis oceanica

Insertional mutation,phenotypic evaluation,and mutated gene cloning are widely used to clone genes from scratch.Exogenous genes can be integrated into the genome during non-homologous end joining(NHEJ)of the double-strand breaks of DNA,causing insertional mutation.The random insertional mutant library constructed using this method has become a method of forward genetics for gene cloning.However,the establishment of a random insertional mutant library requires a high transformation efficiency of exogenous genes.Many microalgal species show a low transformation efficiency,making constructing random insertional mutant libraries difficult.In this study,we established a highly efficient transformation method for constructing a random insertional mutant library of Nannochloropsis oceanica,and tentatively tried to isolate its genes to prove the feasibility of the method.A gene that may control the growth rate and cell size was identified.This method will facilitate the genetic studies of N.oceanica,which should also be a reference for other microalgal species.

Neuromorphic systems represent a promising avenue for the development of the next generation of artificial intelligence hardware.Machine vision,one of the cores in artificial intelligence,requires system-level support with low power consumption,low latency,and parallel computing.Neuromorphic vision sensors provide an efficient solution for machine vision by simulating the structure and function of the biological retina.Optoelectronic synapses,which use light as the main means to achieve the dual functions of photosensitivity and synapse,are the basic units of the neuromorphic vision sensor.Therefore,it is necessary to develop various optoelectronic synaptic devices to expand the application scenarios of neuromorphic vision systems.This review compares the structure and function for both biological and artificial retina systems,and introduces various optoelectronic synaptic devices based on low-dimensional materials and working mechanisms.In addition,advanced applications of optoelectronic synapses as neuromorphic vision sensors are comprehensively summarized.Finally,the challenges and prospects in this field are briefly discussed.

Interface engineering in device fabrication is a significant but complicated issue.Although great successes have been achieved by conventional physical in situ or ex situ methods,it still suffers from complicated procedures.In this work,we present a facile method for fabricating phthalocyanine(Pc)-based two-dimensional conductive metal–organic framework(MOF)films.Based on PcM-Cu(M=Ni,Cu,H_(2))MOF films,spin valves with a vertical configuration of La_(0.67)Sr_(0.33)MnO_(3)/PcM-Cu MOFs/Co were constructed successfully,and exhibited notably high negative magnetoresistance(MR)up to -22% at 50 K.The penetrated Co atoms coordinated with the dehydrogenated hydroxy groups in the MOFs resulting in an antiferromagnetic layer of the PcM-Cu-Co hybrid structure.Interestingly,a significant exchange bias effect was demonstrated at the PcM-Cu MOF/Co interface,beneficial for the MR behavior.Thus,our present study provides new insights into developing high-performance organic spin valves via de novo molecular design.

Two temperature-dependent 2D heterometallic Cd(Ⅱ)-Dy(Ⅲ)coordination polymers exhibiting slow magnetic relaxation and luminescence properties

Two unique two-dimensional(2D)Cd(Ⅱ)-Dy(Ⅲ)heterometallic coordination polymers,{[DyCd(HPMA)(PMA)_(2)(H_(2)O)_(4)]·2H_(2)O}_n(1)and[DyCd(PAA)(PMA)_(2)(H_(2)O)_(3)]_(n)(2,PAA^(-)=phenylacetate),were prepared successfully based on the phenylmalonic acid(H_(2)PMA).The construction of two polymers is sensitive to the reaction temperature and can be synthesized directionally at room temperature and 90℃,respectively.Complexes 1 and 2 display 2D layer structures that include dinuclear[Dy_(2)]cluster node and Dy(Ⅲ)-based 1D zigzag chain motif severally.The Dy(Ⅲ)-based units in two structures both are spaced well with the adjacent ones by the diamagnetic Cd(Ⅱ)-based moieties.The magnetic studies reveal that 1 and 2both display slow magnetic relaxation with temperature-dependent relaxation peaks producing an effective energy barrier(Δτ)of 74.5 and 32.1 K,separately.Furthermore,the solid-state photophysical properties of 1 and 2 show strong characteristic luminescent emissions of Dy(Ⅲ)ion in the visible region.

Leaching kinetics of fluorine during the aluminum removal from spent li-ion battery cathode materials

The high content of aluminum(Al)impurity in the recycled cathode powder seriously affects the extraction efficiency of Nickel,Cobalt,Manganese,and lithium resources and the actual commercial value of recycled materials,so Al removal is crucially important to conform to the industrial standard of spent li-ion battery cathode materials.In this work,we systematically investigated the leaching process and optimum conditions associated with Al removal from the cathode powder materials collected in a wet cathode-powder peeling and recycling production line of spent li-ion batteries(liBs).Moreover,we specifically studied the leaching of fluorine(F)synergistically happened along with the removal process of Al,which was not concerned about in other studies,but one of the key factors affecting pollution prevention in the recovery process.The mechanism of the whole process including the leaching of Al and F from the cathode powder was indicated by using NMR,FTIR,and XPS,and a defluoridation process was preliminarily investigated in this study.The leaching kinetics of Al could be successfully described by the shrinking core model,controlled by the diffusion process and the activation energy was 11.14 kJ/mol.While,the leaching of F was attributed to the dissolution of liPF6and decomposition of PVDF,and the kinetics associated was described by Avrami model.The interaction of Al and F is advantageous to realize the defluoridation to some degree.It is expected that our investigation will provide theoretical support for the large-scale recycling of spent liBs.

With the decline in fish resources worldwide,the ecological dominance and economic importance of crustaceans have obviously increased.Among crustacean species,mantis shrimps are increasingly dominant in many coastal waters of the world.In China,Oratosquilla oratoria is the most widely distributed and productive species of mantis shrimp,and its relative resource density is the highest in the Bohai Sea.In this study,we analysed the long-term and monthly population characteristics of O.oratoria in the Bohai Sea,including its relative resource density,body size and spatial distribution.The results showed that the relative resource density of O.oratoria in the Bohai Sea increased from 3.59 kg/h in 1982 to 14.48 kg/h in 2018,and the percentage of this species that serves as a fishery resource increased from 4.22%in 1982 to 35.27%in 2018,based on the mean relative resource density in May and August.The relative resource density of O.oratoria in the fishing moratorium season from May to August was significantly higher than that in the other months of fishing season,and the relative resource density decreased rapidly after the fishing moratorium ended.The relative resource density of O.oratoria was the highest in summer(August),followed by in autumn(October)and spring(May),and it was the lowest in winter(January).The relative resource density of O.oratoria in the western Bohai Sea was higher than that in the eastern Bohai Sea.The mean body weight of O.oratoria in the Bohai Sea decreased from 21.95 g in 1982 to 14.34 g in 2018,based on the mean body weight in May and August.The body size of O.oratoria in the fishing moratorium season was significantly higher than that in the fishing season,and the body size decreased rapidly after the fishing moratorium ended.Overall,in the context of declining resources of most fishery species,the relative resource density of O.oratoria increased due to its hardiness and adaptability,and its body size decreased under intensive fishing over the past 30 years.The fishing moratorium system h

Synapses are essential for the transmission of neural signals.Synaptic plasticity allows for changes in synaptic strength,enabling the brain to learn from experience.With the rapid development of neuromorphic electronics,tremendous efforts have been devoted to designing and fabricating electronic devices that can mimic synapse operating modes.This growing interest in the field will provide unprecedented opportunities for new hardware architectures for artificial intelligence.In this review,we focus on research of three-terminal artificial synapses based on two-dimensional(2D)materials regulated by electrical,optical and mechanical stimulation.In addition,we systematically summarize artificial synapse applications in various sensory systems,including bioplastic bionics,logical transformation,associative learning,image recognition,and multimodal pattern recognition.Finally,the current challenges and future perspectives involving integration,power consumption and functionality are outlined.

Additives strategies to improving cycling stability of li metal batteries by modifying electrode electrolyte interphases

li metal batteries（LMBs） have attracted much attention due to the ultra-high theoretical capacity of the li metal anode（LMA）.However,the uncontrollable dendrites growth and low coulombic efficiency hinder their practical application.Here,we explore 3,5-difluoropyridine（2F-BD） as a novel electrolyte additive to enable highperformance LMBs.The 2F-BD additive participates in and modifies the solvation structure of li ions by reducing the coordinated number of PF6-at the electrode surface,leading to the formation of a liF and li3N-rich solid electrolyte interphase（SEI）.The liF component increases the robustness of SEI and suppresses the formation of li dendrites,while the li3N component facilitates the transportation and reaction kinetics of li ions.As a result,the li‖li symmetric cell presents a stable cycling performance of up to 500 h at a current density of 1 mA cm-2.After coupling with liFePO4cathode,the obtained full cell achieves high specific capacities of 106.06 mA h g-1and 84.98 mA h g-1at 2.55 mA cm-2and 5.10 mA cm-2,respectively,and maintains a high capacity retention of84.0% after 1000 cycles at 0.13 mA cm-2,with an average cycling CE of 99.58%.
