＜正＞ The new rapid prototyping （rp） methods commercially available have brought numerous advantages to the manufacturing industry. With the increase in the accuracy and measure of rapid prototyping （rp） technique, numerous processes have been developed for producing metal tooling from rp master. Metal moulds of automobile are generally long and expensive to machine, but by combining rp with special casting techniques, some cast iron inner parts moulds can be rapidly made. This paper gives a concrete rapid tooling technology that made large inner parts tooling of automobile. It is available to produce metal tooling aided with rapid prototyping and precision casting. The process reduces time of 25-45% and costs 40%.
