Development of ePDM composites reinforced by CNTs@SiO_(2)for thermal protection systems of aerospace propulsion:Significant improvement in oxidation and ablation resistance properties

Carbon Nanotubes(CNTs)reinforced Polymer-Matrix Composites(PMCs)is widely used as insulation materials in thermal protection system of aerospace ***,CNTs are prone to oxidation and have high thermal conductivities,which makes it difficult to improve the ablation resistance of insulation materials that contain ***_(2)was encapsulated onto the surface of CNTs(CNTs@SiO_(2)),which were then added to ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer(ePDM)rubber to prepare the insulation *** analysis and ablation test were used to evaluate the resistance of the insulation materials to thermal oxidation and ***,scanning electron microscopy was performed to analyze their *** revealed that the addition of CNTs@SiO_(2)could visibly reduce the effects of hot corrosion and ablation on insulation *** C-CNTs@SiO_(2)-1 formulation had the best ablative ***,compared with the unencapsulated formulation(C-CNTs-10),the C-CNTs@SiO_(2)-1 formulation reduced the line ablation rate by 51%to 0.0130 mm/s after oxygen-acetylene ***,the ablation mechanism was investigated based on the effects of the CNTs@SiO_(2)additive on their ***,the improvement in ablation performance may be attributed to CNTs@SiO_(2)-induced decreases in thermal conductivity,improvement in the hot corrosion resistance in the char layer,and changes in the microstructure.

Background:Hypertension and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)share several pathophysiologic risk factors,and the exact relationship between the two remains *** study aims to provide evidence concerning the relationship between hypertension and NAFLD by analyzing data from the National Health and Nutrition examination Survey(NHANeS)2017-2018 and Mendelian randomization(MR)***:Weighted multivariable-adjusted logistic regression was applied to assess the relationship between hypertension and NAFLD risk by using data from the NHANeS ***,a two-sample MR study was performed using the genome-wide association study(GWAS)summary statistics to identify the causal association between hypertension,systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP),and *** primary inverse variance weighted(IVW)and other supplementary MR approaches were conducted to verify the causal association between hypertension and *** analyses were adopted to confirm the robustness of the ***:A total of 3144 participants were enrolled for our observational study in *** multivariable-adjusted logistic regression analysis suggested that hypertension was positively related to NAFLD risk(odds ratio[OR]=1.677;95%confidence interval[CI],1.159-2.423).SBP≥130 mmHg and DBP≥80 mmHg were also significantly positively correlated with ***,hypertension was independently connected with liver steatosis(β=7.836[95%CI,2.334-13.338]).The results of MR analysis also supported a causal association between hypertension(OR=7.203[95%CI,2.297-22.587])and *** results were observed for the causal exploration between SBP(OR=1.024[95%CI,1.003-1.046]),DBP(OR=1.047[95%CI,1.005-1.090]),and *** sensitive analysis further confirmed the robustness and reliability of these findings(all P>0.05).Conclusion:Hypertension was associated with an increased risk of NAFLD.

employing the alkaline water electrolysis system to generate hydrogen holds great prospects but still poses significant challenges,particularly for the construction of hydrogen evolution reaction(HeR)catalysts operating at ampere-level current ***,the unique Ru and RuP_(2)dual nano-islands are deliberately implanted on N-doped carbon substrate(denoted as Ru-RuP_(2)/NC),in which a built-in electric field(BeF)is spontaneously generated between Ru-RuP_(2)dual nano-islands driven by their work function *** and theoretical results unveil that such constructed BeF could serve as the driving force for triggering fast hydrogen spillover process on bridged Ru-RuP_(2)dual nano-islands,which could invalidate the inhibitory effect of high hydrogen coverage at ampere-level current density,and synchronously speed up the water dissociation on Ru nano-islands and hydrogen adsorption/desorption on RuP_(2)nano-islands through hydrogen spillover *** a result,the Ru-RuP_(2)/NC affords an ultra-low overpotential of 218 mV to achieve 1.0 A·cm^(−2)along with the superior stability over 1000 h,holding the great promising prospect in practical applications at ampere-level current *** importantly,this work is the first to advance the scientific understanding of the relationship between the constructed BeF and hydrogen spillover process,which could be enlightening for the rational design of the cost-effective alkaline HeR catalysts at ampere-level current density.

Artificial optical microfingerprints,known as physically unclonable functions(PUFs)offer a groundbreaking approach for ***,these PUFs artificial optical microfingerprints suffer from a limited number of challenge-response pairs,making them vulnerable to machine learning(ML)attacks when additional error-correcting units are *** study presents a pioneering demonstration of artificial optical microfingerprints that combine the advantages of PUFs,a large encoding capacity algorithm,and reliable deep learning authentication against ML *** approach utilizes the triple-mode PUFs,incorporating bright-field,multicolor fluorescence wrinkles,and the topography of surface enhanced Raman scattering in the mechanical and optical ***,the quaternary encoding of these PUFs artificial microfingerprints allows for an encoding capacity of 6.43×10^(24082) and achieves 100%deep learning recognition ***,the PUFs artificial optical microfingerprints exhibit high resilience against ML attacks,facilitated by generative adversarial networks(GAN)(with mean prediction accuracy of~85.0%).The results of this study highlight the potential of utilizing up to three PUFs in conjunction with a GAN training system,paving the way for achieving encoded information that remains resilient to ML attacks.

effective synthesis planning powered by deep learning(DL)can significantly accelerate the discovery of new drugs and ***,most DL-assisted synthesis planning methods offer either none or very limited capability to recommend suitable reaction conditions(RCs)for their reaction ***,the prediction of RCs with a DL framework is hindered by several factors,including:(a)lack of a standardized dataset for benchmarking,(b)lack of a general prediction model with powerful representation,and(c)lack of *** address these issues,we first created 2 standardized RC datasets covering a broad range of reaction classes and then proposed a powerful and interpretable Transformer-based RC predictor named *** careful design of the model architecture,pretraining method,and training strategy,Parrot improved the overall top-3 prediction accuracy on catalysis,solvents,and other reagents by as much as 13.44%,compared to the best previous model on a newly curated ***,the mean absolute error of the predicted temperatures was reduced by about 4℃.Furthermore,Parrot manifests strong generalization capacity with superior cross-chemical-space prediction *** analysis indicates that Parrot effectively captures crucial chemical information and exhibits a high level of interpretability in the prediction of *** proposed model Parrot exemplifies how modern neural network architecture when appropriately pretrained can be versatile in making reliable,generalizable,and interpretable recommendation for RCs even when the underlying training dataset may still be limited in diversity.

Bacterial pathogens destroy the structural integrity of functional organs in fish,leading to severe challenges in the aquaculture *** D_(3)(VD_(3))prevents bacterial infections and strengthens immune system function via vitamin D receptor(VDR).However,the correlation between VD_(3)/VDR and the structural integrity of functional organs remains *** study aimed to investigate the influence of VD_(3)supplementation on histological characteristics,apoptosis,and tight junction characteristics in fish intestine during pathogen infection.A total of 540 healthy grass carp(257.24±0.63 g)were fed different levels of VD_(3)(15.2,364.3,782.5,1,167.9,1,573.8,and 1,980.1 IU/kg)for 70 ***,fish were challenged with Aeromonas hydrophila,a pathogen that causes intestinal *** present study demonstrated that optimal supplementation with VD_(3)(1)alleviated intestinal structural damage,and inhibited oxidative damage by reducing levels of oxidative stress biomarkers;(2)attenuated excessive apoptosisrelated death receptor and mitochondrial pathway processes in relation to p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling(Penhanced tight junction protein expression by inhibiting myosin light chain kinase signaling(Pelevated VDR isoform expression in fish intestine(Perall,the results demonstrated that VD_(3)alleviates oxidative injury,apoptosis,and the destruction of tight junction protein under pathogenic infection,thereby strengthening pathogen defenses in the *** finding supports the rationale for VD_(3)intervention as an essential practice in sustainable aquaculture.

BACKGROUND Low-grade appendiceal neoplasms(LAMN)are characterized by low incidence and atypical clinical presentations,often leading to misdiagnosis as acute or chronic appendicitis before *** primary diagnostic tool for LAMN is abdominal computed tomography(CT)*** resection remains the cornerstone of LAMN management,necessitating en bloc tumor excision to minimize the risk of iatrogenic ***,known for its minimal invasiveness,reduced postoperative discomfort,and expedited recovery,is a safe and reliable approach for LAMN *** the possibility of pseudomyxoma peritonei development,appendectomy and partial appendectomy generally result in negative tumor margins and favorable outcomes,which can be attributed to the disease’s slow growth and lower *** SUMMARY A 71-year-old male patient was admitted to our hospital with a pelvic spaceoccupying lesion detected 1 mo *** examination showed a soft abdomen without tenderness or rebound and no palpable *** shifting dullness was noted,and digital rectal examination revealed no palpable *** revealed a raised,smooth-surfaced mass measuring 3.0 cm in the *** contrast-enhanced CT showed a markedly thickened and dilated appendix with visible cystic *** surgery was performed and revealed a significantly dilated appendix,leading to laparoscopic resection of the appendix and part of the ***-surgical pathologic analysis confirmed *** patient received symptomatic and supportive post-operative care and was discharged on postoperative day 4 without complications such as abdominal bleeding,intestinal obstruction,or incision *** tumor recurrence was observed during a 7-mo follow-up *** LAMN is a rare disease that lacks specific clinical *** CT plays a crucial role in diagnosing LAMN,and laparoscopic surgery is a safe and effective diagnostic and therapeutic approach.
