High-Voltage and Fast-Charging Lithium Cobalt Oxide Cathodes: From Key Challenges and Strategies to Future Perspectives

Lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)with the“double-high”characteristics of high energy density and high power density are in urgent demand for facilitating the development of advanced portable ***,the lithium ion(Li+)-storage performance of the most commercialized lithium cobalt oxide(LiCoO_(2),LCO)cathodes is still far from satisfactory in terms of high-voltage and fast-charging capabilities for reaching the double-high ***,we systematically summarize and discuss high-voltage and fast-charging LCO cathodes,covering in depth the key fundamental challenges,latest advancements in modification strategies,and future perspectives in this *** and elaborated discussions are first presented on key fundamental challenges related to structural degradation,interfacial instability,the inhomogeneity reactions,and sluggish interfacial *** provide an instructive summary of deep insights into promising modification strategies and underlying mechanisms,categorized into element doping(Li-site,cobalt-/oxygen-site,and multi-site doping)for improved Li+diffusivity and bulkstructure stability;surface coating(dielectrics,ionic/electronic conductors,and their combination)for surface stability and conductivity;nanosizing;combinations of these strategies;and other strategies(i.e.,optimization of the electrolyte,binder,tortuosity of electrodes,charging protocols,and prelithiation methods).Finally,forward-looking perspectives and promising directions are sketched out and insightfully elucidated,providing constructive suggestions and instructions for designing and realizing high-voltage and fast-charging LCO cathodes for next-generation double-high LIBs.

With the wide application of the fifth-generation mobile communication system(5G)technology,wireless communication equipment tends to develop in miniaturization,high frequency,and low *** this paper,a surface acoustic wave(SAW)filter with a center frequency of 3.5 GHz was ***,the acoustic waveguide structure of the longitudinal leaky SAW(LLSAW)excitation is determined,and the two-dimensional(2D)theoretical model of the device is established by COMSOL ***,the influence of electrode parameters on the performance of the device is studied,and the electrode parameters are optimized on this *** setting the device structure parameters reasonably,the spurious in the passband can be effectively ***,the center frequency of the mirror T-structure LLSAW filter is 3.536 GHz,the insertion loss is-1.414 dB,the bandwidth of-3 dB is 276 MHz,and the out-of-band rejection is greater than-30 dB.

Enhanced photocatalytic performance by regulating the Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+)ratio in cerium dioxide

Cerium dioxide(CeO_(2))photocatalysts are used in treating environmental pollution and addressing the energy crisis due to their excellent oxygen storage capacities and abundant oxygen *** this paper,CeO_(2)precursors were synthesized with different water-alcohol ratios via a solvothermal method,and CeO_(2)photocatalysts with different Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+)ratios were obtained by changing the precursor calcination atmospheres(air,Ar)as well as the calcination *** effects of CeO_(2)with different Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+)ratios in photocatalytic degradations of methylene blue under visible light were investigated.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results showed that the surfaces of the samples calcined under Ar had higher Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+)ratios and oxygen vacancy concentrations,which reduced the band gaps of the catalysts and improved their utilization of visible *** addition,the many Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+)redox centers and oxygen vacancies on the sample surfaces improved the separation and transfer efficiencies of the photogenerated *** sample C2-Ar calcined under Ar showed a high adsorption capacity and excellent photocatalytic activity by removing 96%of the methylene blue within 120 min,which was more than twice the degradation rate of the sample(C2-air)prepared via calcination under *** experiments showed that photogenerated holes played a key role in the photocatalytic *** addition,a synergistic photocatalytic mechanism for the Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+)redox centers and oxygen vacancies was elucidated in detail,and the sensitization of cerium dioxide by dyes aided the degradation of methylene blue.

Quantification of perfluorinated compounds in atmospheric particulate shows potential connection with environmental event

A method of quantification of perfluorinated compounds(PFCs)from atmospheric particulate matter(APM)is described.A single step pretreatment method,selective pressurized liquid extraction(SPLE),was developed to reduce the high matrix background and avoid contamination from commonly used multiple sample pretreatment *** effective sorbent was selected to purify the PFCs during SPLE,followed by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(LC–MS/MS),for quantification of *** affecting the SPLE efficiency,including temperature,static extraction time,and number of extraction cycles used,were *** optimum conditions were found to be 120℃,10 min,and 3 cycles,***-MS/MS method was developed to obtain the optimal sensitivity specific to *** method detection limits(MDLs)were 0.006 to 0.48 ng/g for the PFCs studied and the linear response range was from 0.1 to 100 ng/*** ensure accurate values were obtained,each step of the experiment was evaluated and controlled to prevent *** optimized method was tested by performing spiking experiments in natural particulate matter matrices and good rates of recovery and reproducibility were obtained for all target ***,the method was successfully used to measure 16 PFCs in the APM samples collected in Beijing over five years from 2015 to *** is observed that some PFCs follow the trend of total PFC changes,and can be attributed to the environment influencing events and policy enforcement,while others don't seem to change as much with time of the year or from year to year.

Ocean wave energy is a significant and promising source of renewable ***,the energy harvesting is challenging due to the multi-directional nature of *** paper proposes a magnetic-field-assisted triboelectric nanogenerator(MFATENG)for harvesting multi-directional wave *** incorporating a magnetic field,the planar motion of the pendulum is converted into spatial motion,increasing the triggering of multilayered TENG(M-TENG)and enhancing the output energy of the *** results demonstrate that the output energy of the MFA-TENG is increased by 73%by utilizing the magnetic ***,a spring model based on the origami-structured M-TENG is established to analyze the effect of different equivalent stiffnesses on the performance of the M-TENG,aiming to obtain optimal output *** results showcase the impressive output performance of the M-TENG,generating outputs of 250 V,18μA,and 255 ***,the proposed MFA-TENG effectively harvests multi-directional wave energy under water-wave driven *** study significantly enhances the ability of the MFA-TENG to harvest multi-directional wave energy and presents a promising approach for self-powered marine monitoring in the future.

Optimization of Fixture Number in Large Thin-Walled Parts Assembly Based on IPSO

There are lots of researches on fixture layout optimization for large thin-walled *** researches focus on the positioning problem,i.e.,optimizing the positions of a constant number of ***,how to determine the number of fixtures is *** most cases,the number of fixtures located on large thin-walled parts is determined based on engineering experience,which leads to huge fixture number and extra ***,this paper constructs an optimization model to minimize the number of *** constraints are set in the optimization model to ensure that the part deformation is within the surface profile *** addition,the assembly gap between two parts is also *** conduct the optimization,this paper develops an improved particle swarm optimization(IPSO)algorithm by integrating the shrinkage factor and adaptive inertia *** the algorithm,particles are encoded according to the fixture *** dimension of the particle is assigned to a sub-region by constraining the optional position range of each fixture to improve the optimization ***,a case study on ship curved panel assembly is provided to prove that our method can optimize the number of fixtures while meeting the assembly quality *** research proposes a method to optimize the number of fixtures,which can reduce the number of fixtures and achieve deformation control at the same time.

Non-intrusive Load Monitoring Based on Graph Total Variation for Residential Appliances

Non-intrusive load monitoring is a technique for monitoring the operating conditions of electrical appliances by collecting the aggregated electrical information at the household power *** several studies on the mining of unique load characteristics,few studies have extensively considered the high computational burden and sample *** on lowfrequency sampling data,a non-intrusive load monitoring algorithm utilizing the graph total variation(GTV)is proposed in this *** algorithm can effectively depict the load state without the need for prior ***,the combined Kmeans clustering algorithm and graph signals are used to build concise and accurate graph structures as load *** GTV representing the internal structure of the graph signal is introduced as the optimization model and solved using the augmented Lagrangian iterative *** introduction of the difference operator reduces the computing cost and addresses the inaccurate reconstruction of the graph *** low-frequency sampling data,the algorithm only requires a little prior data and no training,thereby reducing the computing *** conducted using the reference energy disaggregation dataset and almanac of minutely power dataset demonstrated the stable superiority of the algorithm and its low computational burden.

3D interlocked all-textile structured triboelectric pressure sensor for accurately measuring epidermal pulse waves in amphibious environments

The performance degradation and even damage of the e-textiles caused by sweat,water,or submersion during all-weather health monitoring are the main reasons that e-textiles have not been commercialized and routinized so ***,we developed an amphibious,high-performance,air-permeable,and comfortable all-textile triboelectric sensor for continuous and precise measurement of epidermal pulse waves during full-day *** on the principle of preparing gas by acid-base neutralization reaction,a one-piece preparation process of amphibious conductive yarn(ACY)with densely porous structures is *** innovative three-dimensional(3D)interlocking fabric knitted from ACYs(0.6 mm in diameter)and polytetrafluoroethylene yarns exhibit high sensitivity(0.433 V·kPa^(-1)),wide bandwidth(up to 10 Hz),and stability(>30,000 cycles).With these benefits,98.8%agreement was achieved between wrist pulse waves acquired by the sensor and a high-precision laser ***,the polytetrafluoroethylene yarn with good compression resilience provides sufficient mechanical support for the contact separation of the ***,the unique skeletonized design of the 3D interlocking structure can effectively relieve the water pressure on the sensor surface to obtain stable and accurate pulse waves(underwater depth of 5 cm).This achievement represents an important step in improving the practicality of e-textiles and early diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases.

Simultaneously enhanced electrochemical performance and air stability of Ni-rich cathode with a modified washing process

Water washing has been regarded as one of the most effective strategies to remove surface residual lithium of nickel-rich layered oxides for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).However,the loss of lattice lithium during the water washing process deteriorates the electrochemical performances and air ***,washing the LiNi_(0.90)Co_(0.05)Al_(0.02)O_(2)(NCA) with ammonium dihydrogen phosphate(NH_(4)H_(2)PO_(4)) solution has been proposed to simultaneously enhance electrochemical performances and air stability,in which in-situ generated Li_(3)PO_(4) coating layer on surface of NCA can suppress the loss of lattice ***,as a fast ionic conductor,Li_(3)PO_(4) coating layer on NCA can prevent the direct contact with electrolyte/*** a result,the NH_(4)H_(2)PO_(4) solution washed NCA cathode can deliver a high capacity of131.9 mAh·g^(-1) at 10.0C rate as well as impressive cycle stability with a capacity retention of 83.1% after 100 cycles at 1.0C,much higher than those of water washed NCA(WS-NCA) *** exposed in air for 7 days,the NH_(4)H_(2)PO_(4) solution washed NCA electrode can more effectively maintain the structural integrity as well as the electrochemical performances than water-washed *** work provides a simple and effective approach to enhance the cycle stability and air stability of Nickel-rich cathode materials.
