Study on the occurrence and influencing factors of gastrointestinal symptoms in hemodialysis patients with uremia

BACKGROUND Gastrointestinal symptoms are common in patients with uremia undergoing hemodialysis,and these symptoms seriously affect patients'*** To assess the occurrence and factors influencing gastrointestinal symptoms in patients with uremia undergoing *** We retrospectively selected 98 patients with uremia who underwent regular hemo-dialysis treatment in the blood purification center of our hospital from December 2022 to December *** gastrointestinal symptoms and scores of each dimension were evaluated using the Gastrointestinal Symptom Grading Scale(GSRS).Patients were divided into gastrointestinal symptoms and no gastrointestinal symptom groups according to whether they had gastrointestinal *** factors that may affect gastrointestinal symptoms were identified by single-factor *** logistic regression analysis was performed to identify independent risk factors for gastrointestinal *** Gastrointestinal symptoms included indigestion,constipation,reflux,diarrhea,abdominal pain,and eating disorders,and the total average GSRS score was 1.35±*** study showed that age,number of tablets,dialysis time,glucocorticoid,parathyroid hormone(PTH),combined diabetes mellitus and C-reactive protein(CRP)were independent risk factors for gastrointestinal symptoms in patients with uremia undergoing hemodialysis,whereas body mass index(BMI),hemoglobin(Hb),and urea clearance index were independent protective factors(Plinically related factors influencing the occurrence of gastrointestinal symptoms,and targeted prevention can be perform

Strain concentration caused by the closed end contributes to cartridge case failure at the bottom

Ruptures at the bottom of cartridges are a common cause of failure of ammunitions,which directly threatens the safety of weapons and *** on plastic tube theory,this study analyses the radial and axial deformation of a cartridge,considering the radial constraint of the closed end at the bottom of the *** to the influence of the closed end,the bottom of a cartridge does not establish complete contact with the *** to strain concentration in the non-contact area,this area is more amenable to the occurrence of cartridge *** theory predicts the location of the fracture more accurately than the traditional *** maximum axial deformation of a cartridge comprises bending and friction *** maximum strain at the bottom of the cartridge increased by 135%owing to the introduction of bending strain caused by the closed *** strain distribution of a cartridge was measured using digital image correlation technology,and the measured result was consistent with the predicted results of the bending deformation theory and rupture *** effects of wall thickness,radial clearance,friction coefficient,and axial clearance on the axial deformation of the cylinder were *** the wall thickness and reducing radial clearance were found to reduce bending deformation;furthermore,lubrication and reduction in axial clearance reduce frictional deformation,which in turn reduce cartridge rupture.

An experiment evaluating how the tiny mass eccentricities in spinstabilized projectiles affect the position of impact points

This study investigates and quantifies some possible sources affecting the position of impact points of small caliber spin-stabilized projectiles(such as 12.7 mm bullets).A comparative experiment utilizing the control variable method was designed to figure out the influence of tiny eccentric centroids on the *** study critically analyzes data obtained from characteristic parameter measurements and precision *** also combines Sobol’s algorithm with an artificial intelligence algorithmdAdaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference Systems(ANFIS)ein order to conduct global sensitivity analysis and determine which parameters were most *** results indicate that the impact points of projectiles with an entry angle of 0°deflected to the left to that of projectiles with an entry angle of 90°.The difference of the mean coordinates of impact points was about 12.61 cm at a target range of 200 *** analysis indicated that the entry *** initial position of mass eccentricityehad a notable *** global sensitivity analysis,the significance of the effect of mass eccentricity was confirmed again and the most influential factors were determined to be the axial moment and transverse moment of inertia(Izz Iyy),the mass of a projectile(m),the distance between nose and center of mass along the symmetry axis for a projectile(Lm),and the eccentric distance of the centroid(Lr).The results imply that the control scheme by means of modifying mass center(moving mass or mass eccentricity)is promising for designing small-caliber spin-stabilized projectiles.

Characterization of microstructural length scales in directionally solidified Sn-36%Ni peritectic alloy

Sn-36%Ni peritectie alloys were directionally solidified at different growth rates under a constant temperature gradient （20 K/mm）, the dependences of microstructural characteristic length scales on the growth rate were investigated. Experimental results are presented, including primary and higher order dendrite arm spacings 21, 22, 23 and dendrite tip radius R of primary NisSn2 phase. Comparisons between the theoretical predictions and the experimental results show that, for the primary dendrites, 21=335.882v-0.21, which is in agreement with the Kurz-Fisher model; for the secondary dendrites, λ2=44.957v-0.277, which is consistent with the Bouchard-Kirkaldy model; for the tertiary dendrites, λ3=40.512v-0.274; for the dendrite tip radius, R=22.7v-0.36. The experimental results also show that the 21/22 changes greatly with increasing growth rate while the 21/23 has no significant change, indicating that tertiary dendrite arms have a more similar growth characteristics to primary dendrites compared with secondary dendrites. Anode-free solid-state lithium metal batteries(AF-SSLBs)have the potential to deliver higher energy density and improved safety beyond lithium-metal ***,the unclear mechanism for the fast capacity decay in AF-SSLBs,either determined by dead li or solid electrolyte interface(SEI),limits the proposal of effective strategies to prolong cycling *** clarify the underlying mechanism,herein,the evolution of SEI and dead li is quantitatively analyzed by a solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance(ss-NMR)technology in a typical liPF6-based polymer *** results show that the initial capacity loss is attributed to the formation of SEI,while the dead li dominates the following capacity loss and the growth rate is 0.141 mA h cm^(−2)cycle−*** reduce the active li loss,the combination of inorganic-rich SEI and self-healing electrostatic shield effect is proposed to improve the reversibility of li deposition/dissolution behavior,which reduces the capacity loss rate for the initial SEI and following dead li generation by 2.3 and 20.1 folds,*** a result,the initial Coulombic efficiency(ICE)and stable CE increase by 15.1%and 15.3%in li-Cu cells,which guides the rational design of high-performance AF-SSLBs.

Effect of solvent on the initiation mechanism of living anionic polymerization of styrene:A computational study

For living anionic polymerization(LAP),solvent has a great influence on both reaction mechanism and *** this work,by using the classical butyl lithium-styrene polymerization as a model system,the effect of solvent on the mechanism and kinetics of LAP was revealed through a strategy combining density functional theory(DFT)calculations and kinetic *** terms of mechanism,it is found that the stronger the solvent polarity,the more electrons transfer from initiator to solvent through detailed energy decomposition analysis of electrostatic interactions between initiator and solvent ***,we also found that the stronger the solvent polarity,the higher the monomer initiation energy barrier and the smaller the initiation rate ***,initiation is more favorable at lower temperatures based on the calculated results ofΔG_(TS).Finally,the kinetic characteristics in different solvents were further examined by kinetic *** is found that in benzene and n-pentane,the polymerization rate exhibits first-order ***,slow initiation and fast propagation were observed in tetrahydrofuran(THF)due to the slow free ion formation rate,leading to a deviation from first-order kinetics.
