This work reports the use of defect engineering and carbon supporting to achieve metal-doped phosphides with high activities and stabilities for the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)in alkaline ***,the nitrogen-doped carbon nanofiber-supported Ni-doped CoP_(3) with rich P defects(Pv·)on the carbon cloth(p-NiCoP/NCFs@CC)is synthesized through a plasma-assisted phosphorization *** p-NiCoP/NCFs@CC is an efficient and stable catalyst for the HER and the *** only needs overpotentials of 107 and 306 mV to drive 100 mA cm^(-2) for the HER and the OER,*** catalytic activities are higher than those of other catalysts reported *** high activities of the p-NiCoP/NCFs@CC mainly arise from its peculiar structural *** density functional theory calculation indicates that the Pv·richness,the Ni doping,and the carbon supporting can optimize the adsorption of the H atoms at the catalyst surface and promote the strong electronic couplings between the carbon nanofiber-supported p-NiCoP with the surface oxide layer formed during the OER *** gives the p-NiCoP/NCFs@CC with the high activities for the HER and the *** used in alkaline water electrolyzers,the p-NiCoP/NCFs@CC shows the superior activity and excellent stability for overall water splitting.

geometric Error Identification of gantry-Type CNC Machine Tool Based on Multi-Station Synchronization Laser Tracers

Laser tracers are a three-dimensional coordinate measurement system that are widely used in industrial *** propose a geometric error identification method based on multi-station synchronization laser tracers to enable the rapid and high-precision measurement of geometric errors for gantry-type computer numerical control(CNC)machine *** method also improves on the existing measurement efficiency issues in the single-base station measurement method and multi-base station time-sharing measurement *** consider a three-axis gantry-type CNC machine tool,and the geometric error mathematical model is derived and established based on the combination of screw theory and a topological analysis of the machine kinematic *** four-station laser tracers position and measurement points are realized based on the multi-point positioning principle.A self-calibration algorithm is proposed for the coordinate calibration process of a laser tracer using the Levenberg-Marquardt nonlinear least squares method,and the geometric error is solved using Taylor’s first-order linearization *** experimental results show that the geometric error calculated based on this modeling method is comparable to the results from the Etalon laser *** a volume of 800 mm×1000 mm×350 mm,the maximum differences of the linear,angular,and spatial position errors were 2.0μm,2.7μrad,and 12.0μm,respectively,which verifies the accuracy of the proposed *** research proposes a modeling method for the precise measurement of errors in machine tools,and the applied nature of this study also makes it relevant both to researchers and those in the industrial sector.

Predictive visual field outcomes after optic chiasm decompressive surgery by retinal vessels parameters using optical coherence tomography angiography

AIM:To evaluate the predictive value of superficial retinal capillary plexus(SRCP)and radial peripapillary capillary(RPC)for visual field recovery after optic cross decompression and compare them with peripapillary nerve fiber layer(pRNFL)and ganglion cell complex(gCC).METHODS:This prospective longitudinal observational study included patients with chiasmal compression due to sellar region mass scheduled for decompressive *** estimating equations were used to compare retinal vessel density and retinal layer thickness preand post-operatively and with healthy *** regression models were used to assess the relationship between preoperative gCC,pRNFL,SRCP,and RPC parameters and visual field recovery after ***:The study included 43 eyes of 24 patients and 48 eyes of 24 healthy *** RPC and SRCP vessel density and pRNFL and gCC thickness were lower than healthy controls and higher than postoperative *** best predictive gCC and pRNFL models were based on the superior gCC[area under the curve(AUC)=0.866]and the tempo-inferior pRNFL(AUC=0.824),and the best predictive SRCP and RPC models were based on the nasal SRCP(AUC=0.718)and tempo-inferior RPC(AUC=0.825).There was no statistical difference in the predictive value of the superior gCC,tempo-inferior pRNFL,and tempo-inferior RPC(all P>0.05).CONCLUSION:Compression of the optic chiasm by tumors in the saddle area can reduce retinal thickness and blood *** reduction persists despite the recovery of the visual field after decompression ***,pRNFL,and RPC can be used as sensitive predictors of visual field recovery after decompression surgery.

The coupling control of biological precursors and environmental factors onβ-carotane enrichment in alkaline lacustrine source rocks:A case study from the Fengcheng formation in the western Junggar Basin,NW China

The organic-rich mudstones and dolostones of the Permian Fengcheng Formation(Fm.)are typically alkaline lacustrine source rocks,which are typified by impressively abundantβ-*** β-carotane has been well acknowledged as an effective indicator of biological sources or depositional ***,the specific biological sources of β-carotane and the coupling control of biological sources and environmental factors on the enrichment of β-carotane in the Fengcheng *** *** on a comprehensive investigation of the bulk,molecular geochemistry,and organic petrology of sedimentary rocks and the biochemistry of phytoplankton in modern alkaline lakes,we proposed a new understanding of the biological precursors of β-carotane and elucidated the enrichment mechanism of β-carotane in the Fengcheng *** results show that the biological precursors crucially control the enrichment of β-carotane in the Fengcheng *** haloalkaliphilic cyanobacteria are the primary biological sources of β-carotane,which is suggested by a good positive correlation between the 2-methylhopane index,7-+8-methyl heptadecanes/C_(max),C_(29%),and β-carotane/C_(max)in sedimentary rocks and the predominance of cyanobacteria with abundantβ-carotene in modern alkaline *** enrichment of β-carotane requires the reducing condition,and the paleoredox state that affects the enrichment of β-carotane appears to have a *** paleoclimate conditions do not considerably impact the enrichment of β-carotane,but they have some influence on the water's paleosalinity by affecting evaporation and *** it does not directly affect the enrichment of β-carotane in the Fengcheng Fm.,paleosalinity does have an impact on the cyanobacterial precursor supply and the preservation conditions.

Preparing cyclic polymers at high concentrations via self-folding cyclization technique by adjusting the contents of hydrophilic units in linear precursors

Cyclic polymers are a class of polymers that feature endless topology,and the synthesis of cyclic polymers has attracted the attention of many ***,cyclic polymers were efficiently constructed by self-folding cyclization technique at high *** poly((oligo(ethylene glycol)acrylate)-co-(dodecyl acrylate))(P(OEgA-co-DDA))precursors with different ratios of hydrophilic and hydrophobic moieties were synthesized by reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer(RAFT)polymerization using a bifunctional chain transfer agent with two anthryl end *** amphiphilic linear precursors underwent the self-folding process to generate polymeric nanoparticles in *** irradiating the aqueous solution of the nanoparticles with 365 nm UV light,cyclic polymers were synthesized successfully via coupling of anthryl *** effects of the ratios of hydrophilic and hydrophobic moieties in linear P(OEgA-co-DDA)copolymers and polymer concentration on the purity of the obtained cyclic polymers were explored in detail via ^(1)H nuclear magnetic resonance(^(1)H NMR),dynamic light scattering(DLS),UV‒visible(vis)analysis,three-detection size exclusion chromatography(TD-SEC)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).It was found that by adjusting the content of the hydrophilic segments in linear precursors,single chain polymeric nanoparticles(SCPNs)can be generated at high polymer ***,cyclic polymers with high purity can be constructed *** method overcomes the limitation of traditional ring-closure method,which is typically conducted in highly dilute conditions,providing an efficient method for the scalable preparation of cyclic polymers.

Enhanced Acceleration for generalized Nonconvex Low-Rank Matrix Learning

Matrix minimization techniques that employ the nuclear norm have gained recognition for their applicability in tasks like image inpainting, clustering, classification, and reconstruction. However, they come with inherent biases and computational burdens, especially when used to relax the rank function, making them less effective and efficient in real-world scenarios. To address these challenges, our research focuses on generalized nonconvex rank regularization problems in robust matrix completion (RMC), low-rank representation (LRR), and robust matrix regression (RMR). We introduce innovative approaches for effective and efficient low-rank matrix learning, grounded in generalized nonconvex rank relaxations inspired by various substitutes for the?0-norm relaxed functions. These relaxations allow us to more accurately capture low-rank structures. Our optimization strategy employs a nonconvex and multi-variable alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM), backed by rigorous theoretical analysis for complexity and convergence. This algorithm iteratively updates blocks of variables, ensuring efficient convergence. Additionally, we incorporate the randomized singular value decomposition technique and/or other acceleration strategies to enhance the computational efficiency of our approach, particularly for large-scale constrained minimization problems. In conclusion, our experimental results across a variety of image vision-related application tasks unequivocally demonstrate the superiority of our proposed methodologies in terms of both efficacy and efficiency when compared to most other related learning methods.

Chiral transfer amidst one-dimensional linear polymers and twodimensional network covalent organic frameworks:Striking a fine balance between helicity and crystallinity

The current landscape of chiral covalent organic frameworks(COFs)predominantly centered on constructing asymmetric molecular-scale chirality,often introducing an inherent contradiction to the COF symmetry and limiting ***,we overcome these challenges by achieving chiral transfer between one-dimensional(1D)imine linear polymers(LPs)and two-dimensional(2D)networkβ-ketoenamine COFs composed of achiral *** successfully synthesize several 1D imine LPs with mesoscopic helical chirality,comprising achiral C2-symmetric terephthalaldehyde and diamine linkers in a chiral supramolecular transcription *** the irreversible tautomerism mechanism within the linker replacement approach,terephthalaldehyde(TPA)units in these helical 1D LPs are substituted with C3-symmetric 1,3,5-triformylphloroglucinol(TP),yielding the corresponding 2D networkβ-ketoenamine *** and helicity of the resultantβ-ketoenamine COFs intimately hinge on reaction conditions,including the aldehyde stoichiometry of Tp and TPA,as well as the quantity and concentration of the catalyst *** optimized conditions,the nucleation and growth were precisely governed,achieving a harmonious equilibrium of crystallinity and helicity within the generated 2D networkβ-ketoenamine COFs,even with covalent bond rupture,recombination,and topological transition(from[C2+C2]to[C3+C2]).Impressively,the ground state chirality inherent to helical 1D LPs seamlessly transfers to helical 2D networkβ-ketoenamine *** study not only offers new perspectives on the development of chiral functional COFs,but also provides fresh insights into the precise control of COFs'microscopic morphology.

Identification of the Hammerstein nonlinear system with noisy output measurements

In this research, we present a methodology to identify the Hammerstein nonlinear system with noisy output measurements. The Hammerstein system presented is comprised of neural fuzzy model (NFM) as its static nonlinear block and auto-regressive with extra input (ARX) model as its dynamic linear block, and a two-step procedure is accomplished using signal combination. In the first step, in the case of input–output of gaussian signals, the correlation function-based least squares (CF-LS) technique is utilized to identify the linear block, solving the problem that the intermediate variable connecting nonlinear and linear blocks cannot be measured. In the second step, to improve the identification accuracy of the nonlinear block parameters, an improved particle swarm optimization technique is developed under input–output of random signals. The validity and accuracy of the presented scheme are verified by a numerical simulation and a practical nonlinear process, and the results illustrate that the proposed methodology can identify well the Hammerstein nonlinear system with noisy output measurements.
