Microplastics(MPs)have become a significant concern for their potential ***,the correlation between the size of plastic particles and their toxicity remains ***,we investigate the toxic effects of different sizes(80 nm,800 nm,8μm and 80μm)polystyrene MPs(PS-MPs)on the model organism Nile tilapia(Oreochromis niloticus).The results of bioluminescent imaging indicate that the 80 nm PS-MPs are more likely to invade the body.H&E staining shows severe damage on the intestinal villi and distinct hepatic steatosis in the 80 nm *** U labeling shows that the proliferation activity of intestinal and liver cells reduces significantly in the 80 nm *** gut microbiome analysis shows a severe imbalance of gut microbiota homeostasis in the 80 nm *** analysis of liver transcriptomics and metabolomics shows that the liver lipid metabolism is disordered in the 80 nm *** conclusion,this study confirms that the 80 nm PS-MPs are more likely to induce intestinal and liver *** the above lay the foundation for further study on the pathological damage of MPs to other organisms.

This study investigated the effect of Nb-content on the corrosion behavior of the Al7Cr20Fe35-xNi35Mo3Nbx（x=0,1 and 2）high-entropy alloys in a *** results indicated that only the face centered cubic phase existed in the NbO and Nbl alloys,while the emergence of Laves phase was observed when Nb-content reached 2 at.%.The NbO and Nb1alloys exhibited pitting corrosion,while the NiAl-rich phase experienced localized preferential corrosion in the Nb2 *** electrochemical results revealed that the corrosion current density of the Nbx（x=0,1 and 2） alloys fell within the range of 10-8-10-7A·cm-2,with a pitting corrosion potential exceeding 700 ***,the Nb1 alloy exhibited the most impressive corrosion resistance,as its corrosion current density(7 × 10-8A·cm-2) was merely half that of 316LN stainless *** is attributed to its rapid passivation process,resulting in the development of a protective film characterized by an increased Cr2O3/Al2O3+Cr（OH）*** study highlighted that the addition of Nb contributed to gram refinement,decreased corrosion current density,and elevated pitting potential,favoring passivation and improving corrosion ***,excessive Nb-content resulted in the emergence of the Laves phase,inducing galvanic corrosion and diminishing resistance to corrosion.

Covalent organic frameworks(COFs) are attractive porous crystalline materials with extremely high stability, easy functionalization, and open channels, which are expected to be unique ion conductors/transporters in lithium ion batteries(liBs). Despite recent advances, low ion conductivity and low transference number, resulting in low charging/discharging rate, low energy density, and short battery life, are the main issues that limit their direct application as solid electrolytes in liBs. Here, we designed and synthesized a novel polyimide COF, namely, TAPA-PDI-COF, with abundant C=O groups, which has been successfully employed as high-performance solid electrolytes by doping TAPA-PDI-COF and succinonitrile(SN). Both the well-defined nanochannels of COFs and SN confined in the well-aligned channels restricted the free migration of anions, while C=O on COFs and CN groups of SN enhanced li^(+) transport, thus achieving a high ion conductivity of 0.102 m S cm^(-1)at 80 °C and a high lithium-ion transference number of 0.855 at room temperature. According to density functional theory(DFT)calculations, li-ion migration mainly adopted in-plane transport rather than the axial pathway, which may be due to the shorter hopping distances in the planar pathway. The results suggest an effective strategy for the design and development of all-solidstate ionic conductors for achieving high-performance liBs.

BACKGROUND Laparoscopic colorectal cancer surgery increases the risk of incisional hernia(IH)at the tumor extraction *** To investigate the incidence of IH at extraction sites following laparoscopic colo-rectal cancer surgery and identify the risk factors for IH *** This study retrospectively analyzed the data of 1614 patients who underwent la-paroscopic radical colorectal cancer surgery with tumor extraction through the abdominal wall at our center between January 2017 and December ***-rences in the incidence of postoperative IH at different extraction sites and the risk factors for IH incidence were *** Among the 1614 patients who underwent laparoscopic radical colorectal cancer surgery,303(18.8%),923(57.2%),171(10.6%),and 217(13.4%)tumors were ex-tracted through supraumbilical midline,infraumbilical midline,umbilical,and off-midline *** these,52 patients developed IH in the abdominal wall,with an incidence of 3.2%.The incidence of postoperative IH was significantly higher in the off-midline incision group(8.8%)than in the middle incision groups[the supraumbilical midline(2.6%),infraumbilical midline(2.2%),and umbilical incision(2.9%)groups](χ^(2)=24.985;Pline incision,age,sex(female),obesity,incision infection,combined chronic cough,and hypoproteinemia were independent risk factors for IH at the site of laparoscopic colorectal cancer surgery(Plical midline incision is associated with a lower hernia rate and is thus a suitable tumor extraction site.

Natural gas hydrate(NGH)can cause pipeline blockages during the transportation of oil and gas under high pressures and low *** hydrate adhesion on pipelines is viewed as an efficient way to prevent NGH *** studies suggested the water film can greatly increase hydrate adhesion in gas-dominant ***,by performing the molecular dynamics simulations,we find in water-dominant system,the water film plays different roles in hydrate deposition on Fe and its corrosion ***,due to the strong affinity of water on Fe surface,the deposited hydrate cannot convert the adsorbed water into hydrate,thus,a water film *** water affinities decrease(Fe>Fe_(2)O_(3)>FeO>Fe_(3)O_(4)),adsorbed water would convert to amorphous hydrate on Fe_(2)O_(3)and form the ordered hydrate on FeO and Fe_(3)O_(4)after hydrate *** absorbed water film converts to amorphous or to hydrate,the adhesion strength of hydrate continuously increases(Feliquid layer,the process of which becomes harder as liquid layer *** a result,contrary to gas-dominant system,the water film plays the weakening roles on hydrate adhesion in water-dominant ***,our results can help to better understand the hydrate deposition mechanisms on Fe and its corrosion surfaces and suggest hydrate deposition can be adjusted by changing water affinities on pipeline surfaces.

The high stretchability of two-dimensional(2D)materials has facilitated the possibility of using external strain to manipulate their ***,strain engineering has emerged as a promising technique for tailoring the performance of 2D materials by controlling the applied elastic strain *** various types of strain engineering methods have been proposed,deterministic and controllable generation of the strain in 2D materials remains a challenging ***,we report a nanoimprint-induced strain engineering(NISE)strategy for introducing controllable periodic strain profiles on 2D materials.A three-dimensional(3D)tunable strain is generated in a molybdenum disulfide(MoS_(2))sheet by pressing and conforming to the topography of an imprint *** strain profiles generated in MoS_(2)are demonstrated and verified by Raman and photoluminescence(PL)*** strain modulation capability of NISE is investigated by changing the imprint pressure and the patterns of the imprint molds,which enables precise control of the strain magnitudes and distributions in MoS_(2).Furthermore,a finite element model is developed to simulate the NISE process and reveal the straining behavior of MoS_(2).This deterministic and effective strain engineering technique can be easily extended to other materials and is also compatible with common semiconductor fabrication processes;therefore,it provides prospects for advances in broad nanoelectronic and optoelectronic devices.

The phase behavior of gas condensate in reservoir formations differs from that in pressure-volume-temperature(PVT)cells because it is influenced by porous media in the reservoir *** was used as a sample to investigate the influence of porous media on the phase behavior of the gas *** pore structure was first analyzed using computed tomography(CT)scanning,digital core technology,and a pore network *** sandstone core sample was then saturated with gas condensate for the pressure depletion *** each pressure-depletion state was stable,realtime CT scanning was performed on the *** scanning results of the sample were reconstructed into three-dimensional grayscale images,and the gas condensate and condensate liquid were segmented based on gray value discrepancy to dynamically characterize the phase behavior of the gas condensate in porous *** network models of the condensate liquid ganglia under different pressures were built to calculate the characteristic parameters,including the average radius,coordination number,and tortuosity,and to analyze the changing mechanism caused by the phase behavior change of the gas *** types of condensate liquid(clustered,branched,membranous,and droplet ganglia)were then classified by shape factor and Euler number to investigate their morphological changes dynamically and *** results show that the dew point pressure of the gas condensate in porous media is 12.7 MPa,which is 0.7 MPa higher than 12.0 MPa in PVT *** average radius,volume,and coordination number of the condensate liquid ganglia increased when the system pressure was between the dew point pressure(12.7 MPa)and the pressure for the maximum liquid dropout,Pmax(10.0 MPa),and decreased when it was below *** volume proportion of clustered ganglia was the highest,followed by branched,membranous,and droplet *** study provides crucial experimental evidence for the phase behavior chan

Neonatal sepsis is an illness caused by bloodstream bacteria or fungal infections that affect newborn infants under 28 days of *** stands as a significant contributor to morbidity and mortality in neonatal intensive care units(NICUs).With the improved survival rates of very low-birth-weight or extremely premature infants,a growing number of these vulnerable infants are receiving intensive care and undergoing invasive procedures,making nosocomial infections a persistent challenge in *** mortality rate associated with neonatal sepsis varies depending on factors such as birth weight,gestational age,and other *** can also lead to a range of long-term health consequences,including neurodevelopmental disabilities like cerebral palsy,visual or hearing impairments,and cognitive ***,neonatal sepsis is linked to various adverse outcomes,including respiratory complications,bronchopulmonary dysplasia,nutritional and growth issues,and immunological dysfunction[1].Due to its atypical clinical presentation and the low rate of specific diagnostic indicators,such as a positive blood culture,accurately diagnosing neonatal sepsis is ***,the appropriateness of antibiotic treatment is often a matter of controversy.
