Polarimetry plays an important role in investigating physical properties for celestial objects. We present a polarimeter named YFPOL for the Cassegrain focus of the Lijiang 2.4 m Telescope(LJT) of Yunnan Observatories, Chinese Academy of Sciences. YFPOL is a traditional single-beam polarimeter with a rotating polarizer. As the focal-reducer instrument Yunnan Faint Object Spectrograph and Camera(YFOSC) is always positioned on the Cassegrain focal plane of LJT, we develop two sets of ultra-thin(thickness quasiautomatic pipeline for YFPOL and its effectiveness has been verified by tests of the polarimetric observation with blazar S5 0716+714. The calibration is performed by observing the zero-polarized and highly-polarized standard stars. We successfully reach high precision polarization in the 7’ field of view, and the systematic uncertainty is below 0.8% for a V = 11.68 target with a 10 s exposure. The instrument polarization angle offset is 2°. 6. YFPOL is not only a simple polarimeter, but also a spectropolarimeter with grisms that can be considered in the future.

To evaluate the safety of the bulb tubular turbine,the dynamic hydraulic characteristics of a hydropower station system during the load rejection process are studied through numerical simulations and a prototype *** the developed model,a dynamic grid technology(DGT)controls the closure of the guide vane and the blade,whilst the moment balance equation and the user-defined function(UDF)provide the runner’s rotation *** 3-D transient simulation method can well predict the rotation speed and mass flow curves in the state of load *** simulation outcomes of the system performance are basically consistent with the measurement data of the *** observed,the runner is subjected to the reversely increased torque and axial force,the system is in a braking phase,and the maximum speed peaks at 144.6%of the rated ***,the internal flow of the runner is greatly affected by the closure of the guide vane,and the draft tube forms an eccentric spiral vortex *** breaks downstream,aggravating the instability of the draft ***,the transient characteristics span for the first five seconds,demonstrating the importance of establishing an efficient governing *** obtained results are useful for designing the turbine’s flow channel with a double regulating function and comprehending the turbine’s transient characteristics.

Two silicon resins with excellent thermal stability,JH1123 and JH7102,are used as the insulated agents and binders for the gas-atomized FeSiAl powder,and corresponding magnetic powder cores(MPCs)are *** insulation capability and application prospects of the two silicon resins are evaluated by comparing the magnetic properties of the coated powder and *** scanning electron microscopy,energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy results show that uniform insulation layers are both formed on the powder ***1123 has stronger binding ability,and the JH1123-coated powder exhibits severe agglomeration,with d50(average particle size)approximately twice that of the JH7102-coated *** as-prepared MPCs exhibit outstanding soft magnetic ***,the permeability of FeSiAl@JH1123 is up to 74.0,which is 35.5%higher than that of FeSiAl@JH7102 because JH1123 can further improve the density of the *** for FeSiAl@JH7102,it has better direct current bias and lower core loss of 716.9 mW cm^(−3) at 20 mT and 1000 kHz due to its lower coercivity and greater anti-magnetic saturation ability.A comprehensive comparison shows that FeSiAl@JH1123 is suitable for medium and high frequency applications,while FeSiAl@JH7102 is more suitable for high frequency *** indicates that the use of JH1123 and JH7102 silicon resins for binding and insulated coating not only simplifies the preparation process of MPCs,but also enables the controlled production of MPCs for different applications.

Chiral luminescence materials have potential applications in the field of three-dimensional displays due to their circularly polarized luminescence(CPL)***,the further development of circularly polarized organic light-emitting diodes(CP-OLEDs)needs to meet the requirements of high efficiency,high color purity,low cost,and high dissymmetry factor(gPLor gEL),chiral multiple resonance thermally activated delayed fluorescence(MR-TADF)materials are considered as candidates in these ***,based on a pair of chiral spirofluorene precursors,two pairs of high-performance chiral MR-TADF emitters((R/S)-p-Spiro-DtBuCzB and(R/S)-m-Spiro-DtBuCzB)are developed,which exhibit strong emissions peaking at 491 and 502 nm in toluene with full-width at half-maximum values of 25 and 33 nm,*** addition,small singlet–triplet energy gaps of 0.15 and 0.10 eV with high absolute photoluminescence efficiencies of 95.0%and 96.7%are observed for p-Spiro-DtBuCzB and m-Spiro-DtBuCzB molecules,*** based on p-Spiro-DtBuCzB and m-Spiro-DtBuCzB display high maximum external quantum efficiencies of 29.6%and 33.8%,*** importantly,CP-OLEDs present symmetric circularly polarized electroluminescence spectra with|gEL|factors of 3.36×10^(-4)and 7.66×10^(-4)for devices based on(R/S)-p-Spiro-DtBuCzB and(R/S)-m-Spiro-DtBuCzB enantiomers,respectively.

Microorganisms play an essential role in the glacier carbon cycle;how they transform organic matter in mountain glacial cryoconite remains to be ***,we applied ultra-high resolution Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry(FT-ICR MS)and deep sequencing of 16S rRNA gene,to investigate the temporal microbial transformation of dissolved organic matter(DOM)of the Tibetan Plateau *** the 60-day incubation,we found that DOM in cryoconite underwent a three-stage transformation,with decreasing bioavailability over *** microbial community did not change much in the first week while degrading DOM molecules that were associated with higher H/C_(wa)and lower O/C_(wa).During days 15-30,DOM composition remained stable while microbial diversity *** day 60,the DOM was microbially converted into a higher state of recalcitrance,with higher values of aromatic index,O/C_(wa),and lower H/C_(wa),which contained molecules containing more *** among various microbial taxa,like Cyanobacteria,Bacteroidota,Gammaproteobacteria,Firmicutes,and Actinobacteriota,drove the DOM transformation in *** study sheds light on the in-situ transformation of DOM composition meditated by microbial populations in cryoconite at a temporal scale,providing new insights into understanding the microbial roles in the glacier organic carbon transformation.

A new interacting capillary bundle model on the multiphase flow in micropores of tight rocks

Surfactants are widely used in the fracturing fluid to enhance the imbibition and thus the oil recovery rate. However, current numerical models cannot capture the physics behind capillary imbibition during the wettability alteration by surfactants. Although the interacting capillary bundle(ICB) model shows potential in characterizing imbibition rates in different pores during wettability alteration, the existing ICB models neglect the influence of wettability and viscosity ratio on the imbibition behavior, making it difficult to accurately describe the oil-water imbibition behavior within the porous media. In this work,a new ICB mathematical model is established by introducing pressure balance without assuming the position of the leading front to comprehensively describe the imbibition behavior in a porous medium under different conditions, including gas-liquid spontaneous imbibition and oil-water *** the pore size distribution of a tight rock is known, this new model can predict the changes of water saturation during the displacement process in the tight rock, and also determine the imbibition rate in pores of different sizes. The water saturation profiles obtained from the new model are validated against the waterflooding simulation results from the CMG, while the imbibition rates calculated by the model are validated against the experimental observations of gas-liquid spontaneous imbibition. The good match above indicates the newly proposed model can show the water saturation profile at a macroscopic scale while capture the underlying physics of the multiphase flow in a porous medium at a microscopic scale. Simulation results obtained from this model indicate that both wettability and viscosity ratio can affect the sequence of fluid imbibition into pores of different sizes during the multiphase flow, where less-viscous wetting fluid is preferentially imbibed into larger pores while more-viscous wetting fluid tends to be imbibed into smaller pores. Despite the recent advances in the selective functionalization of C–C bonds in specific substrates,cleavage and functionalization of C–C bonds in acyclic substrates,such as ethane derivatives,remains *** contrast to the well-developed functionalization of one carbon fragment after C–C bond cleavage,herein,we report a novel electro-reductive carboxylation of C（sp3）–C（sp3） bond in multi-aryl ethanes with carbon dioxide（CO2） by utilizing both carbon ***,this reaction exhibits an atom-,step-economic approach for the synthesis of carboxylic acids,fulfilling principal aspirations of organic ***,this method features mild reaction conditions,broad substrate scope,and good functional group *** and asymmetric substrates bearing primary,secondary,or tertiary C（sp3）–C（sp3） bonds are all amenable to this strategy,enabling one or two structurally different carboxylic acids to be facilely constructed at the same *** investigations indicate that carbanions might be the key intermediates in this reaction,which could be captured by CO2efficiently.
