Efficacy of totally laparoscopic compared with laparoscopic-assisted total gastrectomy for gastric cancer: A meta-analysis

BACKGROUND Laparoscopic radical gastrectomy is currently the most common surgical approach for gastric *** main difference between totally laparoscopic total gastrectomy(TLTG)and laparoscopic-assisted total gastrectomy(LATG)is the route of digestive tract ***,TLTG is currently not widespread as the safety and feasibility of intracorporeal esophagojejunostomy is *** To compare the short-term efficacy of TLTG and LATG for radical gastrectomy of gastric cancer,and to determine the safety and feasibility of intracorporeal *** PubMed,EMBASE,and Web of Science databases were searched for all relevant articles regarding TLTG vs LATG for gastric cancer published up to October 1,*** and exclusion criteria were *** the basic conditions of patients and important clinical data related to surgery were extracted,and a meta-analysis was performed with RevMan 5.3 *** Eight studies involving a total of 1883 cases(869 cases in the TLTG group and 1014 cases in the LATG group)were *** with the LATG group,reduced intraoperative blood loss(weighted mean difference=-35.37,95%CI:-61.69--9.06,P=0.008)and a larger number of retrieved lymph nodes(weighted mean difference=3.11,95%CI:-2.60-12.00,P=0.01)were found in the TLTG *** were no significant differences in operating time,anastomotic time,tumor size,proximal resection margin length,postoperative pain score,time to first flatus,time to first oral intake,postoperative hospital stay,postoperative anastomosis-related complication rate and overall complication rate between the two groups(P>0.05).CONCLUSION Intracorporeal esophagojejunostomy is safe and *** has the advantages of being minimally invasive,reduced intraoperative blood loss and easier access to lymph nodes compared with *** laparoscopic gastrectomy is likely to be the surgical trend for gastric cancer in the future.

Rapid detection of colored and colorless macroand micro-plastics in complex environment via near-infrared spectroscopy and machine learning

To better understand the migration behavior of plastic fragments in the environment,development of rapid non-destructive methods for in-situ identification and characterization of plastic fragments is ***,most of the studies had focused only on colored plastic fragments,ignoring colorless plastic fragments and the effects of different environmental media(backgrounds),thus underestimating their *** address this issue,the present study used near-infrared spectroscopy to compare the identification of colored and colorless plastic fragments based on partial least squares-discriminant analysis(PLS-DA),extreme gradient boost,support vector machine and random forest *** effects of polymer color,type,thickness,and background on the plastic fragments classification were ***-DA presented the best and most stable outcome,with higher robustness and lower misclassification *** models frequently misinterpreted colorless plastic fragments and its background when the fragment thickness was less than 0.1mm.A two-stage modeling method,which first distinguishes the plastic types and then identifies colorless plastic fragments that had been misclassified as background,was *** method presented an accuracy higher than 99%in different *** summary,this study developed a novel method for rapid and synchronous identification of colored and colorless plastic fragments under complex environmental backgrounds.

The mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase kinases(MAP4Ks)signaling pathway plays a pivotal role in axonal regrowth and neuronal degeneration following *** targeting this pathway is beneficial to brain injury remains *** this study,we showed that adeno-associated virus-delivery of the Citron homology domain of MAP4Ks effectively reduces traumatic brain injury-induced reactive gliosis,tauopathy,lesion size,and behavioral *** inhibition of MAP4Ks replicated the ameliorative effects observed with expression of the Citron homology ***,the Citron homology domain acted as a dominant-negative mutant,impeding MAP4K-mediated phosphorylation of the dishevelled proteins and thereby controlling the Wnt/β-catenin *** findings implicate a therapeutic potential of targeting MAP4Ks to alleviate the detrimental effects of traumatic brain injury.

Integrated Equipment with Functions of Current Flow Control and Fault Isolation for Multiterminal DC Grids

The multi-terminal direct current(DC)grid has extinctive superiorities over the traditional alternating current system in integrating large-scale renewable *** the DC circuit breaker(DCCB)and the current flow controller(CFC)are demanded to ensure the multiterminal DC grid to operates reliably and ***,since the CFC and the DCCB are all based on fully controlled semiconductor switches(e.g.,insulated gate bipolar transistor,integrated gate commutated thyristor,etc.),their separation configuration in the multiterminal DC grid will lead to unaffordable implementation costs and conduction power *** solve these problems,integrated equipment with both current flow control and fault isolation abilities is proposed,which shares the expensive and duplicated components of CFCs and DCCBs among adjacent *** addition,the complicated coordination control of CFCs and DCCBs can be avoided by adopting the integrated equipment in themultiterminal DC *** order to examine the current flow control and fault isolation abilities of the integrated equipment,the simulation model of a specific meshed four-terminal DC grid is constructed in the PSCAD/EMTDC ***,the comparison between the integrated equipment and the separate solution is presented a specific result or conclusion needs to be added to the abstract.

Effect of lamellarization on the microstructure and mechanical properties of marine 10Ni5CrMoV steel

Multistage heat treatment involving quenching(Q),lamellarizing(L),and tempering(T)is applied to marine 10Ni5CrMoV *** microstructure and mechanical properties were studied by multiscale characterizations,and the kinetics of reverse austenite transformation,strain hardening behavior,and toughening mechanism were further *** lamellarized specimens possess low yield strength but high toughness,especially cryogenic *** leads to the development of film-like reversed austenite at the martensite block and lath boundaries,refining the martensite structure and lowering the equivalent grain *** analysis of austenite reversion based on the JMAK model shows that the isothermal transformation is dominated by the growth of reversed austenite,and the maximum transformation of reversed austenite is reached at the peak temperature(750℃).The strain hardening behavior based on the modified Crussard-Jaoul analysis indicates that the reversed austenite obtained from lamellarization reduces the proportion of martensite,significantly hindering crack propagation via martensitic transformation during the *** a consequence,the QLT specimens exhibit high machinability and low yield *** with the QT specimen,the ductile-brittle transition temperature of the QLT specimens decreases from-116 to-130℃due to the low equivalent grain size and reversed austenite,which increases the cleavage force required for crack propagation and absorbs the energy of external load,*** work provides an idea to improve the cryogenic toughness of marine 10Ni5CrMoV steel and lays a theoretical foundation for its industrial application and comprehensive performance improvement.

Heavy metal stress strengthens the stability and complexity of microbial molecular ecological networks in Sanyang wetland sediments

Pollution from heavy metals(HMs)(Cd,As,Cr,and Ni,etc.)has become a serious environmental issue in urban wetland ecosystems with more and more *** studies conducted in agricultural soils,rivers,and lakes demonstrated that microbial communities exhibit a response to HM ***,little is known about the response of microbial communities to HM pollution in urban wetland *** examined how heavy metals affect the stability of the microbial networks in the sediments of Sanyang wetland,Wenzhou,*** environmental parameters,including HMs,TC(total carbon),TN(total nitrogen),TP(total phosphorus),S,and pH,varied profoundly between moderately and heavily polluted areas in shaping microbial ***,the microbial community composition in moderately polluted sites correlated significantly(P<0.05)with Ni,Cu,Cd and TP,whereas in heavily polluted sites,they correlated significantly with Cd,TN,TP,and *** show that the heavily polluted sites demonstrated more intricate and more stable microbial networks than those of the moderately polluted *** heavily polluted sites exhibited higher values for various network parameters including total nodes,total links,average degree,average clustering coefficient,connectance,relative modularity,robustness,and ***,the structural equation modeling analysis demonstrated a positive correlation between the stability of microbial networks and Cd,TN,TP,and S in heavily polluted ***,in moderately polluted sites,the correlation was positively linked to Cd,Ni,and sediment *** implies that Cd could potentially play a crucial role in affecting the stability of microbial *** study shall enhance our comprehension of microbial co-occurrence patterns in urban wetland ecosystems and offer insights into the ways in which microbial communities respond to environmental factors in varying levels of HM pollution.

Visible-light-responsive homologous heterostructure of oxynitrides constructed to boost charge separation and water splitting

Constructing typeⅡheterostructures represents a widely recognized strategy for enhancing charge separation and photocatalytic efficiency,but it remains challenging to fabricate homologous heterostructures based on visible-light-responsive semiconductors,especially for popularly investigated(oxy)nitrides with low thermal ***,we synthesized a homologous heterostructure(denoted as YTON_H)based on the oxynitrides of YTaO_(4-x)N_(y)and YTa ON_(2).This heterostructure exhibits type Ⅱ band structure alignment and intimate interface achieved through a magnesium(Mg)powder-assisted nitridation *** with widely reported heterologous heterostructures,the as-obtained YTON_H homologous heterostructure could similarly exhibit enhanced charge separation as well as photocatalytic water splitting performance with respect to its counterparts(YTaO_(4-x)N_(y)and YTaON_(2)).Meanwhile,detailed structural characterizations and spectroscopy analysis have been made to confirm the formation of heterostructure and promotion of spatial charge separation.
