Development of a convolutional neural network based geomechanical upscaling technique for heterogeneous geological reservoir

Geomechanical assessment using coupled reservoir-geomechanical simulation is becoming increasingly important for analyzing the potential geomechanical risks in subsurface geological ***,a robust and efficient geomechanical upscaling technique for heterogeneous geological reservoirs is lacking to advance the applications of three-dimensional(3D)reservoir-scale geomechanical simulation considering detailed geological ***,we develop convolutional neural network(CNN)proxies that reproduce the anisotropic nonlinear geomechanical response caused by lithological heterogeneity,and compute upscaled geomechanical properties from CNN *** CNN proxies are trained using a large dataset of randomly generated spatially correlated sand-shale realizations as inputs and simulation results of their macroscopic geomechanical response as *** trained CNN models can provide the upscaled shear strength(R^(2)>0.949),stress-strain behavior(R^(2)>0.925),and volumetric strain changes(R^(2)>0.958)that highly agree with the numerical simulation results while saving over two orders of magnitude of computational *** is a major advantage in computing the upscaled geomechanical properties directly from geological realizations without the need to perform local numerical simulations to obtain the geomechanical *** proposed CNN proxybased upscaling technique has the ability to(1)bridge the gap between the fine-scale geocellular models considering geological uncertainties and computationally efficient geomechanical models used to assess the geomechanical risks of large-scale subsurface development,and(2)improve the efficiency of numerical upscaling techniques that rely on local numerical simulations,leading to significantly increased computational time for uncertainty quantification using numerous geological realizations.

Growth hormone promotes the reconstruction of injured axons in the hypothalamo-neurohypophyseal system

Previous studies have shown that growth hormone can regulate hypothalamic energy metabolism, stress, and hormone release. Therefore, growth hormone has great potential for treating hypothalamic injury. In this study, we established a specific hypothalamic axon injury model by inducing hypothalamic pituitary stalk electric lesions in male mice. We then treated mice by intraperitoneal administration of growth hormone. our results showed that growth hormone increased the expression of insulin-like growth factor 1 and its receptors, and promoted the survival of hypothalamic neurons, axonal regeneration, and vascular reconstruction from the median eminence through the posterior pituitary. Altogether, this alleviated hypothalamic injury-caused central diabetes insipidus and anxiety. These results suggest that growth hormone can promote axonal reconstruction after hypothalamic injury by regulating the growth hormone-insulin-like growth factor 1 axis.

随着大数据、云计算、人工智能等数字技术的加速演进,各领域智能化、信息化、数字化已成为未来的大势所趋。深地工程作为国家重大战略科技问题,必然面临智能化升级。然而,深部岩体“三高一扰动”的复杂特征给深地工程智能化转型带来严峻的挑战。为实现深地工程与数字技术的高效融合,研究基于“感知-传送-解译-分析-决策”的智能化实践路径,系统回顾了地下工程中智能感知、实时传输、信息解译、数据分析、智能决策等领域的代表性研究进展,并针对性提出了“多感知、快响应、大数据、优方法、精模型、强平台、易推广”的深地工程智能建造发展方向。研究表明:①前沿的深地工程感知技术包括:光纤传感器、MEMS传感器、计算机视觉、自动化机器人等,待数据采集完毕后,通过兼具配置简单、容错能力强、可移动性好等优点的无线通信协议完成数据的实时响应,以实现深地工程监测数据的精准感知与实时传输;②深地工程原位监测技术获取的数据类型主要包括图像、波、点云等,对原始数据解译及分析的模型众多,采用新一代的人工智能技术,如:人工神经网络和深度学习技术,可显著提高解译与分析的效率;③智能决策系统具备高效的学习能力,能够适应复杂环境下的不确定性,通过循环自主学习,以进行决策问题的智能解答。当前,我国深地工程智能建造的政策与产业体系已基本建立,大量智能建造系统已应用于实践。基于此,从智能感知与信息解译、围岩评价及安全评估、围岩控制与动态修复、平台开发及应用推广等4个方面展望了数智化深地工程的发展方向,进而构建了基于多源信息的深地工程围岩稳定性综合评价与分析系统构想。

Photothermal therapy by using titanium oxide nanoparticles

The photothermal therapy （PTT） technique is regarded as a promising method for cancer treatment. However, one of the obstacles preventing its clinical application is the non-degradability and biotoxicity of the existing heavy-metal and carbon-based therapeutic agents. Therefore, a PTT material with a high photothermal efficiency, low toxicity, and good biocompatibility is urgently wanted. Herein, we report a titanium oxide-based therapeutic agent with a high efficacy and low toxicity for the PTT process. We demonstrated that magneliphase Ti8015 nanoparticles fabricated by the arc-melting method exhibit 〉98% absorption of near infrared light and a superior photothermal therapy effect in the in vivo mouse model. The Ti8O15 nanoparticle PTT material also shows a good biocompatibility and biosafety. our study reveals magneli-phase titanium oxide as a new family of PTT agents and introduces new applications of titanium oxides for photothermal conversion.

公共体育服务是政府为满足公民体育需求所提供的一种体育服务措施,而效率评价是衡量其发展的重要手段。科学的公共体育服务效率评价,能够客观清晰地反映公共体育服务发展情况。构建DEA模型对2016—2018年我国华东地区六省一市的公共体育服务效率评价指标进行测算分析,并运用Tobit模型进行实证检验,探究可能对公共体育服务效率带来影响的外部因素。结果显示:(1)华东地区2016—2018年公共体育服务综合效率值为0.931,纯技术效率值为0.992,规模效率值为0.937,规模报酬呈现递减趋势;(2)地区经济发展水平、人口密度和体育管理人员规模与公共体育服务效率呈正相关,与受教育水平呈负相关。根据研究结果分析华东地区公共体育服务效率问题与差距,提出以下对策建议:减少区域短板,促进协同发展;调整资源配置,提升供给质量;健全监督机制,完善管理体系。

黑斑病是胡萝卜最常见和最具破坏性的病害之一。通过对比不同菌液接种浓度、不同接种苗龄等条件对黑斑病病情指数的影响,筛选出胡萝卜黑斑病人工接种鉴定的最适宜条件,进而建立一套准确、稳定的人工接种鉴定体系。结果显示,菌液浓度为1×10^(4)个·ml^(-1),接种苗龄为8片真叶是最适宜的人工接种鉴定条件。利用此鉴定体系对94份胡萝卜材料进行黑斑病抗性鉴定,从中筛选出1份抗病材料(di=28.4),为胡萝卜抗黑斑病育种提供了重要抗源材料。

Coal consumption leads to over 15 billion tons of global CO_(2) emissions annually,which will continue at a considerable intensity in the foreseeable *** remove the huge amount of CO_(2),a practically feasible way of direct carbon mitigation,instead of capturing that from dilute tail gases,should be developed;as intended,we developed two innovative supporting technologies,of which the status,strengths,applications,and perspective are discussed in this *** is supercritical water gasification-based coal/biomass utilization technology,which orderly converts chemical energy of coal and low-grade heat into hydrogen energy,and can achieve poly-generation of steam,heat,hydrogen,power,pure CO_(2),and *** other one is the renewables-powered CO_(2) reduction techniques,which uses CO_(2) as the resource for carbon-based fuel *** combining the above two technical loops,one can achieve a full resource utilization and zero CO_(2) emission,making it a practically feasible way for China and global countries to achieve carbon neutrality while creating substantial domestic benefits of economic growth,competitiveness,well-beings,and new industries.

A nomogram to predict prognosis for gastric cancer with peritoneal dissemination

Objective： To identify independent prognostic factors to be included in a nomogram to predict the prognosis ofgastric cancer patients with peritoneal ***： This is a retrospective study on 684 patients with a histological diagnosis of gastric cancer withperitoneal dissemination from the Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center as the development set, and 62 gastriccancer patients from the Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University as the validation group. Chi-square testand Cox regression analysis were used to compare the clinicopathological variables and the prognosis of gastriccancer patients with peritoneal dissemination. The Harrell＇s concordance index （C-index） and calibration curvewere determined for comparisons of predictive ability of the ***： Univariate and multivariate analyses showed that serum carcinoembryonic antigen （CEA） level（P=0.032）, ascites grading （P=0.008）, presence of extraperitoneal metastasis （P〈0.001）, seeding status （P=0.016） andperformance status （P=0.009） were independent prognostic factors for gastric cancer patients with peritonealdissemination in the development set. The nomogram model was constructed using these five factors. Internalvalidation showed that the C-index of the model was 0.641. For the external validation, the C-index of this modelwas ***： We developed and validated a nomogram to predict the prognosis for gastric cancer patients withperitoneal dissemination. This nomogram may play an important clinical role in guiding palliative therapy for thesetypes of patients, although it may need more data for optimization.

Human adenoviruses(HAd Vs)are highly contagious and result in large number of acute respiratory disease(ARD)cases with severe morbidity and *** adenovirus type 3(HAd V-3)is the most common type that causes ARD outbreaks in Asia,Europe,and the ***,there is currently no vaccine approved for its general *** hexon protein contains the main neutralizing epitopes,provoking strong and lasting *** this study,a novel recombinant and attenuated adenovirus vaccine candidate against HAd V-3 was constructed based on a commercially-available replication-defective HAd V-5 gene therapy and vaccine *** entire HAd V-3 hexon gene was integrated into the E1 region of the vector by homologous recombination using a bacterial *** resultant recombinants expressing the HAd V-3 hexon protein were rescued in AD293 cells,identified and characterized by RT-PCR,Western blots,indirect immunofluorescence,and electron *** potential vaccine candidate had a similar replicative efficacy as the wild-type HAd V-3 ***,and importantly,the vaccine strain had been rendered replication-defective and was incapable of replication in A549 cells after more than twentygeneration passages in AD293 *** represents a significant safety *** mice immunized both intranasally and intramuscularly by this vaccine candidate raised significant neutralizing antibodies against HAd ***,this recombinant,attenuated,and safe adenovirus vaccine is a promising HAd V-3 vaccine *** strategy of using a clinically approved and replication-defective HAd V-5 vector provides a novel approach to develop universal adenovirus vaccine candidates against all the other types of adenoviruses causing ARDs and perhaps other adenovirus-associated diseases.

目的:探讨线上教学模式下的作业治疗(OT)专业实践课程的教学效果,为优化线上医学实践课提供新思路。方法:纳入2018年至2020年广州医科大学第五临床学院学习并完成环境改造与辅助技术课程考核的3个年级OT专业学生70人,以2018级为线上教学组,2016级和2017级为传统面授组,比较3个年级的理论成绩、实践成绩及总成绩。结果:3个年级之间理论成绩比较结果不存在统计学差异(Z=2.20,P=0.334),组间比较结果提示2016级与2017级(P=0.807)、2018级与2017级(P=0.299)、2018级与2016级(P=0.166)均无统计学差异;3个年级之间实践成绩比较结果存在显著统计学差异(Z=17.53,P=0.000),组间比较结果提示2016级与2017级(P=0.420)无统计学差异,2018级与2017级(P=0.002)、2018级与2016级(P=0.000)均存在统计学差异;3个年级之间总成绩比较结果无统计学差异(Z=0.47,P=0.792);组间比较结果提示2016级与2017级(P=0.890)、2018级与2017级(P=0.737)、2018级与2016级(P=0.480)均无统计学差异。结论:传统面授实践课并不优于线上实践课,说明线上实践课可达到教学大纲对于培养作业治疗专业学生基础理论知识的要求,可作为特殊时期面授课程的有效替代。
