In this study, FeVO4 was prepared and used as Fenton-like catalyst to degrade orange G （OG） dye. The removal of OG in an aqueous solution containing 0.5 g.L l FeVO4 and 15 mmol.L ] hydrogen peroxide at pH 7.0 reached 93.2%. Similar rates were achieved at pH 5.7 （k = 0.0471 min-1） pH 7.0 （k= 0.0438 min-1）, and pH 7.7 （k = 0.0434 min-1）. The FeWO4 catalyst successfully overcomes the problem faced in the heterogeneous Fenton process, i.e., the narrow working pH range. The data for the removal of OG in FeVO4 systems containing H202 conform to the Langmuir-Hinshelwood model （R2 = 0.9988）, indicating that adsorption and surface reaction are the two basic mechanisms for OG removal in the FeVO4 H202 system. Furthermore, the irradiation of FeVO4 by visible light significantly increases the degradation rate of OG, which is attributed to the enhanced rates of the iron cycles and vanadium cycles.

The mitochondrion which contains its own double-stranded circular DNA is a semi-independent organelle that plays critical roles in cell activity. Mitochondrial DNA （mtDNA） is maternally inherited through several mechanisms that have been proposed （Luo et al., 2013） and, if mitochondrial mutations are inherited to the offspring, it is possible to cause mitochondrial diseases such as neuropathy, cardiomyopathy, myopathy, and liver failure.

Particulate matter,such as sediment and microplastics(MPs),in aqueous environments has comparable micro-interfacial ***,the micro-interfacial characteristics of heterogeneous particulate matter are complex and are not fully *** this study,micro-interfacial kinetics and the interactions governing copper(Cu) ion adsorption to PP-sediment were investigated using microinterfacial characterization experiments and kinetic experiments for Cu ion absorption to sediment,polypropylene(PP),and PP-sediment *** results show that(1) a pseudo-second-order model can be used to accurately describe the micro-interfacial kinetics of Cu ion adsorption to PP-sediment,indicating that chemical adsorption dominates the *** Cu,the adsorption capacity,qe,of PP-sediment is approximately 0.4808 mg/g,between that of sediment and PP.(2) Film diffusion is the rate-controlling process in the early adsorption *** diffusion gradually becomes the controlling process as the film diffusion constant(kfd) decreases and the film diffusion model becomes less applicable,but intraparticle diffusion is weaker in the PP-sediment system than in the sedimentonly system.(3) The applicability of the intraparticle diffusion model for Cu ion adsorption to PP-sediment in the later stage of adsorption is between that of the sediment and PP ***,the heterogeneous aggregation of sediment and PP affects the micro-interfacial interactions of both types of particulate *** current study contributes to a better understanding of the microinterfacial interactions of heterogeneous particulate matter(such as fine-grained sediment and MPs)with heavy metal ions in aqueous environments.

Abstract The objective of this paper is to study the issue of employing the uniformity criterion measured by the wrap-around L2-discrepancy to assess the optimal foldover plans for three-level *** three-level fractional factorials as the original designs,the general foldover plan and combined design under a foldover plan are defined,some theoretical properties of the defined foldover plans are obtained,a tight lower bound of the wrap-around L2-discrepancy of combined designs under a general foldover plan is also obtained,which can be used as a benchmark for searching optimal foldover *** illustration of the usage of our theoretical results,a catalog of optimal foldover plans for uniform initial designs with s three-level factors is tabulated,where 2≤ s ≤11.

ou MC decrescendo phenomenon (ouDP) is induced by interaction between human bilateral features and has shown to alleviate or cure infectious and non-infectious diseases. The resolution of non-infectious conditions with ouDP indicates to be consistent with restoration of normal tissue function (AJEM, 2012;Proc Physiol Soc, 2014). ou MC handing remedy (HR) was utilized to induce ouDP by applying the hand to the contralateral body. Four female patients received self-administered HR separately for their diseases: 1) uterine endometrioid carcinoma stage IIIB, 2) suspicious pancreatic cancer in stage IA with isodense pancreatic nodule, elevated CA199 and dilated tortuous main pancreatic duct, 3) uterine leiomyosarcoma stage IB, and 4) suspicious gluteal metastatic lesion of chronic myelogenous leukemia. The treatments with HR showed to suppress or ameliorate oncologic changes for these patients: 1) The uterine endometrioid carcinoma regressed from stage IIIB to IA with 5 months treatment. 2) The pancreatic isodense lesion decreased from 1.6 × 1.7 to 1.0 × 1.0 cm in size with CA199 descending from 1090.0 to 136.5 (Unit/ml) associating with the main pancreatic duct diameter decreasing from 0.39 to 0.14 cm with tortuosity disappearance after 4 months treatment. 3) The frequent profuse bleeding by uterine leiomyosarcoma prominently decreased immediately with HR and subsequent HR was also effective at minimizing heavy uterine bleeding in the 3 weeks treatment. 4) The gluteal macular lesion of the case with chronic myelogenous leukemia was eliminated with 2 weeks treatment. It reveals ouDP may normalize the tumor cells and microenvironment function, which makes tumor cells conform to the *Corresponding author. regulations with apoptosis, metastasis suppression, preventing uninhibited proliferation, minimizing angiogenesis and supervision by host immunological systems. These findings warrant further investigation.

Graph transformation is an important modeling and analysis technique widely applied in software engineer- ing. The attributes can naturally conceptualize the properties of the modeled artifacts. However, the lack of support for the specification of such attribute correspondence by ordi- nary propositional temporal logics hampers its further appli- cation during verification. Different from the theoretical in- vestigations on quantified second order logics, we propose a practical and light-weight approach for the verification of this kind of temporal specifications with associated attributes. Particularly, we apply our approach and extend the general- purpose graph transformation modeling tool： GROOVE. More- over, symmetry reduction techniques are exploited to reduce the number of states. Experiments with performance evalua- tions complement our discussion and demonstrate the feasi- bility and efficiency of our approach.

Bioinspired 4D Trajectory Generation for a UAS Rapid Point-to-Point Movement

A bioinspired trajectory generation approach for Unmanned Aerial System （UAS） rapid Point-to-Point （PTP） movement was presented. The approach was based on general tau theory developed by biologists from observing and studying the behavior of birds and some other animals. We applied the bioinspired approach to the rapid PTP movement problem of a rotary UAS and derived two different trajectory planning strategies, namely, the tau coupling strategy and the intrinsic tau gravity guidance strategy. Based on general tau theory, according to the dynamic model of UAS, we presented a new strategy named intrinsic tau jerk guidance which can fit the movement that the initial acceleration of the UAS is zero. With new strategies, flight trajectory generation examples with a UAS were presented. The kinematics and dynamics analyses of the UAS for rapid PTP movement were presented with simulation results which show that the generated trajectories were feasible.

The ou MC decrescendo phenomenon (ouDP) involves the placing of the contralateral hand of the examiner on the acute abdomen of female patients (ou MC manipulation), which results in an alleviation of pain [1]. Two front-end observations showed that placement of the contralateral hand on the acute abdomen of women alleviated pain (78 of 81 women or 96.3%), while placement of the ipsilateral hand did not (0 of 39 women or 0%). This method named as ou MC handing remedy (HR) was used to observe the immediate and cumulative effects of ouDP on 38 cases, of which 27 were self-administered and 11 were administered by the therapist. The mean age of the patients was 55.8 years (standard deviation, 22.9 years). Five minutes after initial self-administered HR, there was pain alleviation in 14 cases and symptoms or signs beyond pain improved for another 6 cases while 7 cases unevaluated. Final results showed 9 cured, 5 with partial remission and the remaining 13 with complete remission. Five minutes after initial therapist-administered HR, pain alleviation was found with 10 cases while 1 case unevaluated. The final results showed 7 cases cured, 2 with partial remission, and 2 with complete remission. The resolution of non-infectious conditions (23/ 38) with ouDP is consistent with the restoration of normal tissue function, which seems to contribute to pain alleviation and defense against infections and tumors. Interestingly, the ouDP is capable of being invoked by either the patient or the therapist. These findings warrant further investigation.
