Assessment of canopy vigor information from kiwifruit plants based on a digital surface model from unmanned aerial vehicle imagery

Information about canopy vigor and growth are critical to assess the potential impacts of biotic or abiotic stresses on plant *** implementing a Digital Surface Model(DSM)to imagery obtained using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAV),it is possible to filter canopy information effectively based on height,which provides an efficient method to discriminate canopy from soil and lower vegetation such as weeds or cover *** paper describes a method based on the DSM to assess canopy growth(CG)as well as missing plants from a kiwifruit orchard on a plant-by-plant *** DSM was initially extracted from the overlapping RGB aerial imagery acquired over the kiwifruit orchard using the Structure from Motion(SfM)*** adaptive threshold algorithm was implemented using the height difference between soil/lower plants and kiwifruit canopies to identify plants and extract canopy information on a non-regular ***,a customized algorithm was developed to discriminate single kiwifruit plants automatically,which allowed the estimation of individual canopy cover fractions(fc).By applying differential fc thresholding,four categories of the CG were determined automatically:(i)missing plants;(ii)low vigor;(iii)moderate vigor;and(iv)*** were validated by a detailed visual inspection on the ground,which rendered an overall accuracy of 89.5%for the method proposed to assess CG at the plant-by-plant ***,the accuracies for CG category(i)-(iv)were 94.1%,85.1%,86.7%,and 88.0%,*** proposed method showed also to be appropriate to filter out weeds and other smaller non-plant materials which are extremely difficult to be distinguished by common colour thresholding or edge identification methods.

Efficient Self-Assembled DNA Nanoparticles through Rolling Circle Amplification for siRNA Delivery in vitro

Effective and low toxicity delivery of siRNA is of great importance for clinical gene therapy. Herein, self-assembled DNA nanoparticles (NPs) based on rolling circle amplification (RCA) with a small interfering RNA (siRNA) payload were successfully developed as a facile and efficient siRNA delivery strategy. This intracellular gene silencing strategy exhibits various advantages including low toxicity, high efficiency, and good stability. The synthesized DNA NPs serve as siRNA carriers, protecting the siRNA against nuclease degradation. We demonstrate that the obtained self-assembled siRNA/NP/PEI system can successfully deliver enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP)-siRNA into HeLa cells, realizing the same EGFP knockdown efficiency with less toxicity as that of commercial Lipofectamine 2000.

A parallel matching algorithm based on order relation for HLA data distribution management

In distribution simulation based on High-level architecture(HLA),data distribution management(DDM)is one of HLA services for the purpose of filtering the unnecessary data transferring over the *** admits the sending federates and the receiving federates to express their interest using update regions and subscription regions in a multidimensional routing *** are several matching algorithms to obtain overlap information between the update regions and subscription *** the number of regions increase sharply,the matching process is time ***,the existing algorithms is hard to be parallelized to take advantage of the computing capabilities of multi-core *** reduce the computational overhead of region matching,we propose a parallel algorithm based on order relation to accelerate the matching *** new matching algorithm adopts divide-and-conquer approach to divide the regions into multiple region bound sublists,each of which comprises parts of region *** calculate the intersection inside and amongst the region bound sublists,two matching rules are *** approach has good performance since it performs region matching on the sublists parallel and does not require unnecessary comparisons within regions in different *** analysis has been carried out for the proposed algorithm and experimental result shows that the proposed algorithm has better performance than major existing DDM matching algorithms.

变极性等离子弧焊接(variable polarity plasma arc welding,VPPAW)过程中匙孔状态,特别是背面匙孔状态是决定焊缝成形质量的核心要素.在实际焊接过程中,背面放置传感器检测匙孔状态存在难度.文中提出了一种基于匙孔前壁面反光的等离子弧焊接背面匙孔正面检测方法.在合适的拍摄角度下,该方法可以同时获得正面匙孔图像和背面匙孔在前壁面的反光成像.通过不同焊接电流下的工艺试验,建立了焊接质量与匙孔反光形态的联系.随着焊接电流的增大,检测到的前壁面匙孔图像位置逐渐向上偏移.焊接出现切割时,背面匙孔反光形态消失;干扰稳定焊接状态,背面匙孔反光形态同时发生改变.匙孔稳定与否与焊接状态稳定直接关联.背面匙孔在前壁面的反光成像状态受焊接状态和熔池状态影响.为等离子焊接正面检测焊接质量提供了指导意义.

Sintering Behavior and Microwave Dielectric Properties of BBSZL Glass-doped ZnTiO_3 Ceramics for LTCC Applications

A novel low temperature co-fired ceramic(LTCC) material was fabricated by zinc titanate(ZnTiO_3) ceramics doped with B_2O_3-BaO-SiO_2-ZnO-Li_2O(BBSZL) glass. The influences of BBSZL glass on wetting behavior, sintering activation energy, phase composition, microstructure and microwave dielectric properties were investigated. The experimental results show that the sintering temperature of ZnTiO3 ceramics can be reduced from 1 100 to 925 ℃, meanwhile the sintering activation energy is decreased from 465.32 to 390.54 kJ·mol^(-1) by BBSZL glass aid, respectively. Moreover, BBSZL glass can inhibit the high Q×f ZnTiO_3 phase decompose into the low Q×f value Zn_2TiO_4 phase, which is propitious to obtain high Q×f value LTCC material. The ZnTiO_3-BBSZL composite sintered at 925℃ displays the excellent microwave dielectric properties with ε_r of 21.8, Q×f value of 42000 GHz, and τ_f of-75 ppm·℃^(-1).

Modulation of dragon's blood on tetrodotoxin-resistant sodium currents in dorsal root ganglion neurons and identification of its material basis for efficacy

To clarify the modulation of dragon's blood on the tetrodotoxin-resistant (TTX-R) sodium currents in dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons and explore its corresponding material basis for the efficacy, using whole-cell patch clamp technique, the effects of dragon's blood and the combined effects of three components (cochinchinenin A, cochinchinenin B, and loureirin B) extracted from dragon's blood on the TTX-R sodium currents in acute-isolated DRG neurons of rats were observed. According to the operational definition of material basis for the efficacy of TCM established, the material basis of the modulation on the TTX-R sodium currents in DRG neurons of dragon's blood was judged from the experimental results. The drug interaction equation of Greco et al. was used to assess the interaction of the three components extracted from dragon's blood. This investigation demonstrated that dragon's blood suppressed the peak TTX-R sodium currents in a dose-dependent way and affected the activations of TTX-R sodium currents. The effects of the combination of cochinchinenin A, cochinchinenin B, and loureirin B were in good agreement with those of dragon's blood. Although the three components used alone could modulate TTX-R sodium currents, the concentrations of the three components used alone were respectively higher than those used in combination when the inhibition rates on the TTX-R sodium currents of them used alone and in combination were the same. The combined effects of the three components were synergistic. These results suggested that the interference with pain messages caused by the modulation of dragon's blood on TTX-R sodium currents in DRG neurons may explain some of the analgesic effect of dragon's blood and the corresponding material basis for the efficacy is the combination of cochinchinenin A, cochinchinenin B, and loureirin B.

针对水电机组滚动轴承可采集故障样本匮乏、难以完成高效准确故障诊断目标的问题,提出一种基于改进加权域对抗网络(improved weighting domain adversarial network,IWDAN)和混合注意力机制(hybrid attention mechanism,HAM)的机组轴承故障诊断方法。首先,利用小波变换(wavelet transform,WT)将轴承一维振动信号转换为二维时频图,实现更高维度的信号表征;其次,利用IWDAN对源域时频图进行自适应加权,提取更为有效的域间共享特征;最后,将所提取特征作为HAM的输入,有效抑制冗余信息干扰,显著提升诊断效率与精度。通过机组轴承诊断实例分析,验证所提IWDAN-HAM方法具有更加优越的性能,可为机组维护策略的制定提供可靠数据基础。

Experimental study on flow pattern and sediment transportation at a 90°open-channel confluence

In this paper,the evolutions of flow pattern and sediment transportation at a 90°open-channel confluence with different discharge ratios（q;） of the tributary flow to the total flow were *** experimental result showed that the water surface profile at channel confluence was influenced by tributary mixing *** vertical distribution of the time-averaged flow velocities correlated with the discharge ratio as well as with the flow *** increase of the discharge ratio q;induced a gradually decline of the time-averaged velocity upstream of the confluence;high and low velocity regions were generated as well and a back flow separation region was formed in the cross sections *** the discharge ratio q;was relatively large,the development of the separation region was *** scouring experiments with no supplementary sediment,the motion of the bed load was intermittent and fluctuated,while the bed load discharge initially increased and then decreased *** the water in the tributary was clear,the largest local scour appeared near the shearing surface downstream of the *** bed load transport rate and the accumulative sediment transport amounted in time were recorded and analyzed for different discharge ratios q;in each *** to the results,the distinctive characteristics of a sharp-edged, channel confluence flow might be divided into six main *** experimental results are helpful for the analysis and regulation of shoals at a tributary mouth.
