As a fundamental parameter of the optical crystals,birefringence plays a vital role in many optical applications,such as phase modulation,light splitting,and polarization,especially the phase matching process of the nonlinear optical *** big birefringence not only benefits to the miniaturization of related devices,but also broadens the phase-matching wavelength range of nonlinear optical *** design and synthesis of crystals with large birefringence becomes a hot research topic due to its more and more important applications in the optical modulation and laser technology ***,crystals with birefringence greater than 0.05 in the borate system are reviewed and classified according to different birefringent active groups,and the relationship between structure and properties is thoroughly *** is hoped that this review will provide a clear understanding of what kinds of building units and arrangements would have more opportunity to get adequate birefringence in borate systems and provide the statistical references to encourage the emergence of better crystal materials with large birefringence.

An array of pyridine-ester enolate based organoboron complexes has been designed and synthesized via a one-pot cascade of Pd-catalyzedα-arylation and *** rapid structure-activity relationship(SAR)studies indicated that unsymmetrical N,O-chelated BF2complexes were highly fluorescent in solid state,and exhibited large Stokes shifts,excellent photostability,along with insensitivity to p ***α-aryl group could not only modulate the electronic effect but also inhibit the intermolecularπ-πstacking to promote the aggregation-induced emission(AIE)*** calculations and experiments identified that the intramolecular charge transfer properties of these N,O-chelates could be switched by the modification of substituents,resulting tunable fluorescence ***,post-complexation modification was accomplished,including Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling,Buchwald-Hartwig amination,oxidative cleavage,along with a unique triple substitution reaction involving propargyl Grignard *** exemplificative application of dimethylamine substituted boron complex as a reversible acidic vapor sensor was also demonstrated.

Hydrothermal stability is crucial for the practical application of deNO_(x)catalyst on diesel vehicles,for the selective catalytic reduction of NO_(x)with NH_(3)(NH_(3)-SCR).SnO_(2)-based materials possess superior hydrothermal stability,which is attractive for the development of NH_(3)-SCR *** this work,a series of Ce-Nb/SnO_(2)catalysts,with Ce and Nb loading on SnO_(2)support,were prepared by impregnation *** was found that,the NH_(3)-SCR activities and hydrothermal stabilities of the Ce-Nb/SnO_(2)catalysts significantly varied with the impregnation sequences,and the Ce-Nb(f)/SnO_(2) catalyst that firstly impregnated Nb and then impregnated Ce exhibited the best *** characterization results revealed that CeNb(f)/SnO_(2)possessed appropriate acidity and redox ***,the strong synergistic effect between Nb and Sn species stabilized the structure and maintained the dispersion of acid *** study may provide a new understanding for the effect of impregnation sequence on activity and hydrothermal stability and a new environmental-friendly NH_(3)-SCR catalyst with potential applications for NO_(x)removal from diesel and hydrogenfueled engines.

Previous studies have reported upregulation of heme oxygenase-1.in different central nervous system injury *** oxygenase-1.plays a critical anti-inflammatory role and is essential for regulating cellular redox *** is a classic drug used to treat type 2 diabetes that can inhibit *** studies have shown that,when used to treat cardiovascular and digestive system diseases,metformin can also upregulate heme oxygenase-1.***,we hypothesized that heme oxygenase-1.plays a significant role in mediating the beneficial effects of metformin on neuronal ferroptosis after spinal cord *** test this,we first performed a bioinformatics analysis based on the GEO database and found that heme oxygenase-1.was upregulated in the lesion of rats with spinal cord ***,we confirmed this finding in a rat model of T9 spinal cord compression injury that exhibited spinal cord nerve cell *** intraperitoneal injection of metformin for 1. days was found to both upregulate heme oxygenase-1.expression and reduce neuronal ferroptosis in rats with spinal cord ***,we used a lentivirus vector to knock down heme oxygenase-1.expression in the spinal cord,and found that this significantly reduced the effect of metformin on ferroptosis after spinal cord *** together,these findings suggest that metformin inhibits neuronal ferroptosis after spinal cord injury,and that this effect is partially dependent on upregulation of heme oxygenase-1.

Effective propagation of information among multiple users is the purpose of realizing large-scale quantum communication networks. In this paper, multicast protocols for any single, two and three qubits with real amplitude and complex phase information are presented. They were realized using a composite of Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger states as shared channels. Joint remote state preparation was the main method for completing quantum multicast. At the same time, quantum state tomography of the schemes was carried out on the IBM Quantum *** obtained states were compared with the target states by fidelity. The analysis of communication efficiency and noise effects shows that our protocol has advantages in the case of complex coefficients.

The attention mechanism can extract salient features in images,which has been proved to be effective in improving the performance of person re-identification(Re-ID).However,most of the existing attention modules have the following two shortcomings:On the one hand,they mostly use global average pooling to generate context descriptors,without highlighting the guiding role of salient information on descriptor generation,resulting in insufficient ability of the final generated attention mask representation;On the other hand,the design of most attention modules is complicated,which greatly increases the computational cost of the *** solve these problems,this paper proposes an attention module called self-supervised recalibration(SR)block,which introduces both global and local information through adaptive weighted fusion to generate a more refined attention *** particular,a special"Squeeze-Excitation"(SE)unit is designed in the SR block to further process the generated intermediate masks,both for nonlinearizations of the features and for constraint of the resulting computation by controlling the number of ***,we combine the most commonly used Res Net-50 to construct the instantiation model of the SR block,and verify its effectiveness on multiple Re-ID datasets,especially the mean Average Precision(m AP)on the Occluded-Duke dataset exceeds the state-of-the-art(SOTA)algorithm by 4.49%.

The seismic performance of a caisson structure under two types of models with a saturated sandy foundation(CSS)and an expanded polystyrene(EPS)composite soil foundation(CES)are studied using shaking table *** macro phenomena of the two different foundation models are described and *** effects of the replacement of EPS composite soil on seismic-induced liquefaction of backfill and the dynamic performance of a caisson structure are evaluated in *** results show that the excess pore water pressure generation in the CES is significantly slower than that in the CSS during the *** dynamic earth pressure acting on the caisson has a triangular *** response of horizontal acceleration,displacement,settlement,and rotation angle of the caisson in the CES is smaller than that in the CSS,which means the caisson in the CES has a better seismic ***,the out-of-phase phenomenon between dynamic earth thrust and inertial force in the CES is more obvious than that in the CSS,which is beneficial to reduce the lateral force and improve the stability of the caisson structure.

Repeated blast impacts on personnel in explosive environments can exacerbate craniocerebral *** existing studies focus on the injury effects of a single blast,lacking in-depth analysis on the injury effects and cumulative effects of repeated ***,rats were used as the experimental samples to suffer from explosion blasts with different peak air overpressures(1.7 kPa~482 kPa)and varying number of repeated *** cumulative effect of craniocerebral trauma was most pronounced for moderate repeated blast,showing approximately 95%increase of trauma severity with penta blast,and an approximately 85%increase of trauma severity with penta minor *** cumulative effect of craniocerebral trauma from severe,repeated blast has a smaller rate of change compared to the other two *** severity of trauma from penta blast increased by approximately 69%compared to a single *** physiological,pathological and biochemical analysis show that the degree of neurological trauma caused by repeated blasts is higher than that of single blasts,and the pathological trauma to brain tissue is more extensive and *** trauma degree remains unchanged after double blast,increases by one grade after triple or quadruple blast,and increases by two grades after penta blast.
