Designing an effective and stable composite photocatalyst is of significance for the further realization of practical applications. In this study, a series of CoP/CoO composites are successfully prepared by a straight one-step phosphating method. The reasonable design and controllable preparation of CoP/CoO composite make it exhibit improved photocatalytic performance for overall water splitting and excellent stability under visible light irradiation in comparison with pure CoO, which is derived from the CoP nanoparticles well dispersed on the(111) facets of CoO octahedrons, intimate interface between them and efficiently accelerated of photo-induced electrons from CoO to CoP. This study presents a simple method to design highly-effective composite photocatalysts for overall water splitting to meet the energy demand.

Microstructure and RRA Treatment of LFEC 7075 Aluminum Alloy Extruded Bars

Objective:MRI-negative focal epilepsy is one of the most challenging cases in epilepsy surgical treatment.Many epilepsy centers recommend intracranial electroencephalography for MRI-negative cases,especially neocortical epilepsy.This retrospective study aimed to explore whether intracranial monitoring is mandatory in MRI-negative neocortical epilepsy surgery and the factors that significantly influence the decision to perform intracranial recording or not.Methods:In this study,consecutive surgical patients with focal MRI-negative neocortical epilepsy were recruited.All patients underwent routine preoperative evaluation according to the dedicated protocol of our epilepsy center to determine the treatment plan.Patients were divided into two groups according to the surgical strategy:a direct group and a stereo-encephalography(SEEG)-guided group.History of epilepsy,seizure frequency,interictal and ictal EEG data,PET data,PET/MRI co-registration data,neuropathological findings,and surgical outcomes were compared between the two groups.Multivariate analysis was performed to identify factors influencing the decision to implement SEEG monitoring.Results:Sixty-four patients were included in this study,of whom 19 and 45 underwent direct and SEEG-guided cortical resection,respectively.At an average follow-up of 3.9 years postoperatively,56 patients(87.5%) had Engel class I results without permanent neurological deficits.Surgical outcomes were not significantly different between the direct and SEEG-guided groups(94.7% vs.84.4%).There were significant differences between the two groups in the degree of hypometabolism(focal vs.non-focal,p<0.01) and pathological subtype(FCD II vs.others,p=0.03).Multivariate analysis revealed that the degree of hypometabolism(OR 0.01,95% CI 0.00-0.15,p=0.001) was the only independent factor affecting surgical strategy.Conclusions:Careful selection of patients with MRI-negative neocortical epilepsy may yield favorable outcomes with direct cortical resection without intracranial monitoring;PET/MRI

The microstructures after casting and extruding, the mechanical properties and electrical conductivity after RRA treatment of conventional DC casting and low frequency electromagnetic casting （LFEC） 7075 aluminum alloy were investigated. The results showed that finer grains which distributed more homogeneously was obtained in LFEC ingots compared with those conventional DC ingots. The extruded bars of LFEC alloy kept its fine grain features of original as-cast structure. In the RRA treatment, with the extension of second aging time, the tensile strength and hardness of alloy decreased, but the electrical conductivity increased. Meanwhile, as the second aging temperature raised, the phase change rate in precipitation also increased. Under the same conditions, extruded bars of LFEC alloy had better performance than that of conventional DC cast alloy. The optimum RRA heat treatment process was 120 ℃/24 h＋180 ℃/30 min＋120 ℃/24 h. The LFEC extruded bars acquired tensile strength 676.64 MPa, hardness 198.18, and electrical conductivity 35.7% IACS respectively, which were higher than that in the T6 temper, indicating that a notable RRA response takes place in LFEC extruded bars, whose second-step retrogression time was 30 min, and it was suitable for mass production.

Matrix metalloproteinase-9（MMP-9） plays a beneficial role in the sub-acute phase after ischemic stroke.However,unrestrained MMP-9 may disrupt the blood-brain barrier（BBB）,which has limited its use for the treatment of brain ischemia.In the present study,we constructed lentivirus mediated hypoxiacontrolled MMP-9 expression and explored its role after stroke.Hypoxia response element（HRE）was used to confine MMP-9 expression only to the hypoxic region of mouse brain after 120-min transient middle cerebral artery occlusion.Lentiviruses were injected into the peri-infarct area on day 7 after transient ischemia.We found hyperexpression of exogenous HRE-MMP-9 under the control of hypoxia,and its expression was mainly located in neurons and astrocytes without aggravation of BBB damage compared to the CMV group.Furthermore,mice in the HRE-MMP-9 group showed the best behavioral recovery compared with the normal saline,GFP,and SB-3CT groups.Therefore,hypoxia-controlled MMP-9 hyperexpression during the sub-acute phase of ischemia may provide a novel promising approach of gene therapy for stroke.

Flexible piezoelectric materials capable of withstanding large deformation play key roles in flexible electronics. Ferroelectric ceramics with a high piezoelectric coefficient are inherently brittle, whereas polar polymers exhibit a low piezoelectric coefficient. Here we report a highly stretchable/compressible piezoelectric composite composed of ferroelectric ceramic skeleton, elastomer matrix and relaxor ferroelectric-based hybrid at the ceramic/matrix interface as dielectric transition layers, exhibiting a giant piezoelectric coefficient of 250 picometers per volt, high electromechanical coupling factor keff of 65%,ultralow acoustic impedance of 3MRyl and high cyclic stability under 50% compression strain. The superior flexibility and piezoelectric properties are attributed to the electric polarization and mechanical load transfer paths formed by the ceramic skeleton, and dielectric mismatch mitigation between ceramic fillers and elastomer matrix by the dielectric transition layer. The synergistic fusion of ultrahigh piezoelectric properties and superior flexibility in these polymer composites is expected to drive emerging applications in flexible smart electronics.

Rechargeable metal-iodine batteries are an emerging attractive electrochemical energy storage technology that combines metallic anodes with halogen cathodes. Such batteries using aqueous electrolytes represent a viable solution for the safety and cost issues associated with organic electrolytes. A hybrid-electrolyte battery architecture has been adopted in a lithium-iodine battery using a solid ceramic membrane that protects the metallic anode from contacting the aqueous electrolyte. Here we demonstrate an eco-friendly, low-cost zinc-iodine battery with an aqueous electrolyte, wherein active I2 is confined in a nanoporous carbon cloth substrate. The electrochemical reaction is confined in the nanopores as a single conversion reaction, thus avoiding the production of I3- intermediates. The cathode architecture fully utilizes the active I2, showing a capacity of 255 mAh·g^-1 and low capacity cycling fading. The battery provides an energy density of -151 Wh·kg^-1 and exhibits an ultrastable cycle life of more than 1,500 cycles.

Effect of homogenizing treatment on microstructure and conductivity of 7075 aluminum alloy prepared by low frequency electromagnetic casting

The heat treatment process has great effects on microstructure and conductivity of ingots. In this study, the ingots of high strength 7075 aluminum alloy were prepared by low frequency electromagnetic casting(LFEC), and the effect of different homogenization processes(single-step homogenization at 465 ℃ for different holding times and three-step homogenization) on the microstructure and conductivity of 7075 aluminum alloy were studied by means of metallographic microscopy, electrical conductivity test, differential thermal analysis and X-ray diffraction phase analysis. For comparison, the ingot by conventional direct casting(DC) under the same conditions was also prepared. Results show that the non-equilibrium eutectic phases with low melting point in the ingot dissolve continuously into the matrix as the holding time of single-step homogenization increases. The endothermic peak of non-equilibrium phases can not be completely eliminated through a 24 h single-step homogenization, but can be eliminated after a three-step homogenization(200 ℃/2 h + 460 ℃/6 h + 480 ℃/12 h). Meanwhile, the homogenization has a better effect on the LFEC ingot than the conventional DC ingot. Under the same homogenizing conditions, the grains of LFEC ingot are characterized by a lower content of low melting point phases and the ingot shows higher electrical conductivity than DC ingot.

Modeling and Decoupling of Coupling Tasks in Collaborative Development Process of Complicated Electronic Products

It is important to improve the development efficiency of decoupling a coupling task package according to the information relevancy relation between development tasks in the collaborative development process of complicated electronic products.In order to define the task coupling model in the development process,the weighted directed graph based on the information relevancy is established,and the correspondence between weighted directed graph model and numerical design structure matrix model of coupling tasks is introduced.The task coupling model is quantized,thereby the interactivity matrix of task package is built.A multi-goal task decoupling method based on improved genetic algorithm is proposed to decouple the task coupling model,which transforms the decoupling of task package into a multi-goal optimization issue.Then the improved genetic algorithm is used to solve the interactivity matrix of coupling tasks.Finally,the effectiveness of this decomposition method is proved by using the example of task package decoupling of collaborative development of a radar’s phased array antenna.
