While the cryosphere may bring in adverse impacts on natural and built environment, it may also provide benefits resulting from cryosphere services. By looking into the effect of the cryosphere on human-being, the study develops a unified approach in the analysis of cryospheric risks and services, with one focusing on the adverse impacts by cryospheric hazards and another emphasizing on the benefits that people can obtain from the natural capitals in the cryosphere. Meanwhile, climate change could further alter and complicate the roles of the cryosphere, not only by the changes in risks to cryospheric hazards, but also the changes in services that could potentially add more risks. The study further proposed a risk-based approach for the development of climate adaptation in the cryosphere. The approach essentially takes options to reduce exposure and vulnerability of societies to cryospheric hazards, and to better manage natural capitals and demands together with enhancing utility of the cryosphere, so as to maintain the benefit of cryosphere services in a sustainable way. The study further addresses the role of cryosphere services in strengthening sustainable development in terms of its relation with the sustainable development goals (SDGs), and provides a preliminary results on how the services contributes to SDGs. Overall, the approach developed in this study creates a new way to comprehensively assess the effect of cryosphere changes on our society and identify measures to maximize the benefit while minimizing the risk in relation to the cryosphere.

Objective：To investigate the effect of GAPT,an extract mixture from Radix Ginseng,Rhizoma Acor tatarinowii,Radix Polygalae and Radix Curcuma（containing ingredient of turmeric）,*** expression of tau protein and its phosphorylation related enzyme in hippocampal neurons of APPV717I transgenic ***：Sixty three-month-old APPV717I transgenic mice were randomly divided into model group,donepezil group[0.92 mg/（kg·d）],the low,medium and high dosage of GAPT groups[0.075,0.15,0.30 g/（kg·d）,12 in each group],and 12 three-month-old C57BL/6J mice were set as a normal control group,treatments were administered orally once a day respectively,and both the normal group and model group were given 0.5%sodium carboxymethyl cellulose ***（IHC）and Western blot analysis were used to detect the expression of total tau protein（Tau-5）,cyclin-dependent kinase 5（CDK5）and protein phosphatase 2A（PP2A）in hippocampal neurons of experimental mice after 8-month drug administration（11 months old）.Results：In the model group,the expression of Tau-5 and CDK5 were increased,whereas the expression of PP2A was decreased in hippocampal neurons,which were significantly different compared with that in the normal group（all P〈0.01）.IHC test indicated the number and area of either Tau-5 or CDK5 positive cells were decreased with a dose-depended way in GAPT groups,and an increase of *** with the model group,the changes were significant in GAPT groups（P〈0.05 or P〈0.01）.Similar results were shown by Western ***：GAPT could attenuate abnormal hyperphosphorylation of tau protein in hippocampal neurons of APPV717I transgenic mice via inhibiting the expression of CDK5 and activating the expression of PP2A.

As a new type of lightweight structure,metallic lattice structure has higher stiffness and strength to weight *** freely obtain 316L lattice structures with designed cell structure and adjustable porosity,additive manufacturing combined with investment casting was conducted to fabricate the 316L lattice structures with Kelvin *** compression simulation of 316L lattice structures with different porosities was carried out by using the finite element *** numerical simulation results were verified by compression experiment,and the simulated results were consistent with the compression *** compressive mechanical properties of 316L lattice structures are directly related to porosity and independent of strut *** 316L lattice structures with Kelvin cell have a smooth stress-strain curve and obvious plastic platform,and the hump stress-strain curves are avoided.

Effects of the flow rate of hydrogen on the growth of graphene

Graphene samples with different morphologies were fabricated on the inside of copper enclosures by low pressure chemical vapor deposition and tuning the flow rate of hydrogen. It is found that the flow rate of hydrogen greatly influences the growth of graphene. Ther-modynamic analysis indicates that a higher flow rate of hydrogen is favorable to the formation of good quality graphene with regular mor-phology. However, the mass-transfer process of methane dominates the growth driving force. At very low pressure, mass-transfer proceeds by Knudsen diffusion, and the mass-transfer flux of methane decreases as the flow rate of hydrogen increases, leading to a decrease in the growth driving force. At a higher pressure, mass-transfer proceeds by Fick＇s diffusion, and the mass-transfer flux of methane is dominated by the gas velocity, whose variation determines the growth driving force variation of graphene.

The viscoelastic properties of synthetic polyisoprenes （PI） reinforced by white carbon black （WCB） have been investigated and compared with WCB reinforced natural rubber （NR）, including cure characteristics, physio-mechanical and dynamic mechanical properties. Compared with NR, PI loaded with the same amount of WCB （PI/WCB） exhibited shorter scorch time and optimal cure time, indicating that WCB fillers are comparatively easier to conjugate with PI. The tensile strength and elongation at break decreased with WCB filling in both PI and NR vulcanizates. The hardness of the rubber vulcanizates increased with the WCB filling in the rubber matrix. PI/WCB blends exhibited smaller hardness data, lower tensile strength, as well as lower elongation at break and tensile stress. Increasing the amount of WCB in rubber matrix induced the Payne effect. However, the Payne effect is much more obvious for the PI/WCB system, and PI/WCB also displayed higher storage modulus whereas lower loss modulus and loss tangent than NR/WCB, which could all be attributed to the poor dispersibilities of WCB in the PI matrix.

Microstructure and optical absorption properties of Au/NiO thin films

Au nanoparticles dispersed NiO composite films were prepared by a chemical solution *** phase structure,microstructure,surface chemical state,and optical absorption properties of the films were characterized by X-ray diffraction,transmission electron microscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,and Uv-vis *** results indicate that Au particles with the average diameters of 35-42 nm are approximately spherical and disperse in the NiO *** optical absorption peaks due to the surface plasmon resonance of Au particles shift to the shorter wavelength and intensify with the increase of Au *** bandwidth narrows when the Au content increases from 8.4wt% to 45.2wt%,but widens by further increasing the Au content from 45.2wt% to 60.5wt%.The band gap Eg increases with the increase of Au contents from 8.4wt% to 45.2wt%,but decreases by further increasing the Au content.
