Midgut juice plays an important role in food digestion and detoxification in *** order to understand the potential of midgut juice of Cnaphalocrocis medinalis(Guenée)to degrade Bt proteins,the enzymatic activity of midgut juice and its degradation of Bt proteins(Cry2A,Cry1C,Cry1Aa,and Cry1Ac)were evaluated in this study through protease inhibitor *** activities of total protease in midgut juices were significantly inhibited by phenylmethylsulfonyl fluoride(PMSF),tosyl-L-lysine chloromethyl ketone(TLCK),pepstatin A and *** enzymatic activity of chymotrypsin was significantly inhibited by PMSF,and enzymatic activity of trypsin was significantly inhibited by ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid(EDTA),PMSF,tosyl phenylalanine chloromethyl ketone(TPCK),TLCK and trans-epoxysuccinyl-L-leucylamido-(4-guanidino)butane(E-64).EDTA could significantly inhibit the degradation of Cry2A by ***,PMSF,TPCK,and TLCK could inhibit the degradation of Cry1C and ***,PMSF,TPCK,TLCK,and E-64 could inhibit the degradation of *** results indicated that some protease inhibitors hindered various enzymatic activities in the larval midgut of ***,which may reduce the insect’s ability to degrade Bt *** findings may aid the application of protease inhibitors in the management of this insect pest in the future.

Direct seawater splitting has emerged as a popular and promising research direction for synthesising clean,green,non-polluting,and sustainable hydrogen energy without depending on high-purity water in the face of the world’s shortage of fossil ***,efficient seawater splitting is hindered by slow kinetics caused by the ultra-low conductivity and the presence of bacteria,microorganisms,and stray ions in ***,producing hydrogen on an industrial scale is challenging due to the high production *** present review addresses these challenges from the catalyst point of view,namely,that designing catalysts with high catalytic activity and stability can directly affect the rate and effect of seawater *** the ion transfer perspective,designing membranes can block harmful ions,improving the stability of seawater *** the energy point of view,mixed seawater systems and self-powered systems also provide new and low-energy research systems for seawater ***,ideas and directions for further research on direct seawater splitting in the future are pointed out,with the aim of achieving low-cost and high-efficiency hydrogen production.

Vortex transmutation utilizes a periodic system, which not only enables the alteration of the topological charge(TC) of unstable input vortices but also facilitates their transformation into stable structures. This approach is crucial for investigating the characteristics of vortices in various wave systems. Here, we achieve acoustic vortex TC transmutation by employing a welldesigned dual-structured plate external system(DPES). The interactions between the acoustic vortex and the finite-order discrete rotational symmetry lead to the transformation of its topological charge when complete rotational symmetry is broken to Nthorder discrete symmetry. Our results experimentally demonstrate the acoustic vortex TC transmutation based on passive artificial structures, enabling numerous applications in particle manipulation and information multiplexing as well as advancing our understanding and control over free-space acoustic vortices.

The Janus fabrics designed for personal moisture/thermal regulation have garnered significant attention for their potential to enhance human ***,the development of smart and dynamic fabrics capable of managing personal moisture/thermal comfort in response to changing external environments remains a ***,a smart cellulose-based Janus fabric was designed to dynamically manage personal moisture/*** cotton fabric was grafted with N-isopropylacrylamide to construct a temperature-stimulated transport ***,hydrophobic ethyl cellulose and hydrophilic cellulose nanofiber were sprayed on the bottom and top sides of the fabric to obtain wettability *** fabric exhibits anti-gravity directional liquid transportation from hydrophobic side to hydrophilic side,and can dynamically and continuously control the transportation time in a wide range of 3–66 s as the temperature increases from 10 to 40℃.This smart fabric can quickly dissipate heat at high temperatures,while at low temperatures,it can slow down the heat dissipation rate and prevent the human from becoming too *** addition,the fabric has UV shielding and photodynamic antibacterial properties through depositing graphitic carbon nitride nanosheets on the hydrophilic *** smart fabric offers an innovative approach to maximizing personal comfort in environments with significant temperature variations.

The microstructures and thermodynamic properties of mixed systems comprising pyridinium ionic liquid[HPy][BF_(4)]and acetonitrile at different mole fractions were studied using molecular dynamics simulation in this *** following properties were determined:density,self-diffusion coefficient,excess molar volume,and radial distribution *** results show that with an increase in the mole fraction of[HPy][BF_(4)],the self-diffusion coefficient ***,the excess molar volume initially decreases,reaches a minimum,and then *** rules of radial distribution functions(RDFs)of characteristic atoms are *** increasing the mole fraction of[HPy][BF_(4)],the first peak of the RDFs of HA1-F decreases,while that of CT6-CT6 rises at first and then *** indicates that the solvent molecules affect the polar and non-polar regions of[HPy][BF_(4)]differently.

Currently,highly efficient n-i-p perovskite solar cells rely on an organic interface layer for high efficiency,especially 2,2',7,7'-tetrakis[N,N-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)ami-no]-9,9′-spirobifluorene(spiro-OMeTAD),but the instability of organic materials in the photothermal field compromises device *** this study,we employ the oleic acid(YS)/oleamine(YA)end-sealing method to achieve uniform dispersion of NiO_(X)nanoparticles,effectively mitigating coagulation resulting from high local concentration and secondary motion ***,the conductivity of the hole transport layer and its energy level alignment with perovskite is enhanced by the additional 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-7,7',8,8'-tetracyanodimethyl-p-benzoquinone(F4TCNQ),leading to a remarkable improvement of open-circuit voltage and fill factor,thus the high efficiency of 25.17%and 24.36%on 0.1 and 1.01cm2,***,by realizing an all-inorganic interface layer,an initial efficiency exceeding 90%is maintained even after 2,800 h of heating at 85℃.

The cGAS–STING pathway plays an important role in ischemia-reperfusion injury in the heart,liver,brain,and kidney,but its role and mechanisms in cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury have not been systematically ***,we outline the components of the cGAS–STING pathway and then analyze its role in autophagy,ferroptosis,cellular pyroptosis,disequilibrium of calcium homeostasis,inflammatory responses,disruption of the blood–brain barrier,microglia transformation,and complement system activation following cerebral ischemia-reperfusion *** further analyze the value of cGAS–STING pathway inhibitors in the treatment of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury and conclude that the pathway can regulate cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury through multiple *** of the cGAS–STING pathway may be helpful in the treatment of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury.

Satisfying the mold-flux performance requirements for high-speed continuous casting necessitates the development of a new non-Newtonian-fluid mold flux with shear-thinning behavior, i.e., a mold flux whose viscosity is relatively high under lower shear rates and relatively low under higher shear rates. In this work, a mold flux that exhibits shear-thinning behavior was developed by adding different amounts of Si_3N_4 to the CaO–SiO_2–CaF_2 mold flux. The shear-thinning behavior was investigated using a rotational viscometer. In addition, the microstructure of the newly prepared slags was studied by high-temperature Raman spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The results showed that the mechanism of shear-thinning was attributable to a temporary viscosity loss caused by the one-way shear stress, whereas the corresponding magnitude of shear-thinning was closely related to the degree of polymerization(DP). Finally, the non-Newtonian fluid mold flux was used for laboratory casting tests, which revealed that the mold flux could reduce slag entrapment and positively affect the continuous casting optimization.
