Graphitic carbons with reasonable pore volume and appropriate graphitization degree can provide efficient Li+/electrolyte-transfer channels and ameliorate the sluggish dynamic behavior of battery-type carbon negative electrode in lithium-ion capacitors(LICs).In this work,onion-like graphitic carbon materials are obtained by using carbon quantum dots as precursors after sintering,and the effects of alkali metal salts on the structure,morphology and performance of the samples are *** results show that alkali metal salts as activator can etch graphitic carbons,and the specific surface area and pore size distribution are intimately related to the description of the alkali metal ***,it also affects the graphitization degree of the *** porous graphitic carbons(SGCs)obtained by NaCl activation exhibit high specific surface area(77.14 m^(2)·g^(-1))and appropriate graphitization *** is expectable that the electrochemical performance for lithium-ions storage can be largely promoted by the smart combination of catalytic graphitization and pores-creating ***-performance LICs(S-GCs//AC LICs)are achieved with high energy density of 92 Wh·kg^(-1)and superior rate capability(66.3 Wh·kg^(-1)at10 A·g^(-1))together with the power density as high as10020.2 W·kg^(-1).

Within the cell, several mechanisms exist to maintain homeostasis of the endoplasmic reticulum （ER）. One of the primary mechanisms is the unfolded protein response （UPR）. In this review, we primarily focus on the latest signal webs and regulation mechanisms of the UPR. The relationships among ER stress, apoptosis, and cancer are also discussed. Under the normal state, binding immunoglobulin protein （BiP） interacts with the three sensors （protein kinase RNA-like ER kinase （PERK）, activating transcription factor 6 （ATF6）, and inositol-requiring enzyme la （IREla）） Under ER stress, misfolded proteins interact with BiP, resulting in the release of BiP from the sensors. Subsequently, the three sensors dimerize and autophosphorylate to promote the signal cascades of ER stress. ER stress includes a series of positive and negative feedback signals, such as those regulating the stabilization of the sensors/BiP complex, activating and inactivating the sensors by autophosphorylation and dephosphorylation, activating specific transcription factors to enable selective transcription, and augmenting the ability to refold and export. Apart from the three basic pathways, vascular endothelial growth factor （VEGF）-VEGF receptor （VEGFR）-phospholipase C-~ （PLCy）-mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1 （mTORC1） pathway, induced only in solid tumors, can also activate ATF6 and PERK signal cascades, and IREla also can be activated by activated RAC-alpha serine/threonine-protein kinase （AKT）. A moderate UPR functions as a pro-survival signal to return the cell to its state of homeostasis. However, persistent ER stress will induce cells to undergo apoptosis in response to increasing reactive oxygen species （ROS）, Ca2＋ in the cytoplasmic matrix, and other apoptosis signal cascades, such as c-Jun N-terminal kinase （JNK）, signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 （STAT3）, and P38, when cellular damage exceeds the capacity of this adaptive response.

SnO2intermediate layers were coated on the titanium(Ti)substrate by thermal *** electronmicroscope(SEM)and X-ray diffraction(XRD)results show that uniform SnO2intermediate layers with rutile crystal structure weresuccessfully *** to the results of linear sweep voltammetry(LSV),oxygen evolution potential(OEP)of theTi/SnO2/MnO2electrodes decreases with increasing SnO2content,indicating that the electro-catalytic oxidation activity of theelectrode *** service life tests results demonstrate that SnO2intermediate layer can improve the service life of theTi/SnO2/*** the content of SnO2intermediate layer increases,the cell voltage and the energy consumption decreaseapparently.

Ionic conductivity is one of the crucial parameters for inorganic solid-state *** explore the relationship between porosity and ionic conductivity,a series of Li_(6.4)Ga_(0.2)La_(3)Zr_(2)O_(12) garnet type solid-state electrolytes with different porosities were prepared via solid-state *** on the quantified data,an empirical decay relationship was summarized and discussed by means of mathematical model and dimensional analysis *** suggests that open porosity causes ionic conductivity to decrease *** pre-exponential factor obeys the Arrhenius Law quite well with the activation energy of 0.23 eV,and the decay constant is averaged to be 2.62%.While the closed porosity causes ionic conductivity to decrease *** slope and intercept of this linear pattern also obey the Arrhenius Law and the activation energies are 0.24 and 0.27 eV,***,the total porosity is linearly dependent on the open porosity,and different sintering conditions will lead to different linear patterns with different slopes and intercepts.

Currently,highly efficient n-i-p perovskite solar cells rely on an organic interface layer for high efficiency,especially 2,2',7,7'-tetrakis[N,N-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)ami-no]-9,9′-spirobifluorene(spiro-OMeTAD),but the instability of organic materials in the photothermal field compromises device *** this study,we employ the oleic acid(YS)/oleamine(YA)end-sealing method to achieve uniform dispersion of NiO_(X)nanoparticles,effectively mitigating coagulation resulting from high local concentration and secondary motion ***,the conductivity of the hole transport layer and its energy level alignment with perovskite is enhanced by the additional 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-7,7',8,8'-tetracyanodimethyl-p-benzoquinone(F4TCNQ),leading to a remarkable improvement of open-circuit voltage and fill factor,thus the high efficiency of 25.17%and 24.36%on 0.1 and 1.01cm2,***,by realizing an all-inorganic interface layer,an initial efficiency exceeding 90%is maintained even after 2,800 h of heating at 85℃.

BL03HB: a Laue microdiffraction beamline for both protein crystallography and materials science at SSRF

A Laue microdiffraction beamline(BL03HB) was constructed at the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility(SSRF).This beamline features two consecutive focusing points in two different sectors within its end station, the first dedicated to protein crystallography and the other tailored to materials science applications. Based on a superbend dipole magnet with a magnetic field of 2.29 T, a two-stage focusing design was implemented with two sets of Kirkpatrick-Baez mirrors to achieve a micro white beam as small as 4.2 μ m ×4.3 μ m at the first sector and 0.9 μ m ×1.3 μ m at the second sector in the standard beamline operation mode at SSRF. The X-ray microbeam in the two sectors can be easily switched between monochromatic and white beams by moving a four-bounce monochromator in or out of the light path, respectively. In the protein crystallography sector, white-beam Laue microdiffraction was demonstrated to successfully determine the structure of protein crystals from only a few images of diffraction data collected by a Pilatus 2 M area detector. In the materials science sector,the white-beam Laue diffraction was collected in a reflection geometry using another Pilatus 2 M area detector, which could map the microstructural distribution on the sample surface by scanning the samples. In general, the BL03HB beamline promotes the application of Laue microdiffraction in both protein crystallography and materials science. This paper presents a comprehensive overview of the BL03HB beamline, end station, and the first commission results.

Human lysozyme （HL） inhibits Fusarium oxysporum （FocR4） growth in vitro. To obtain transgenic bananas （Musa spp.） that are resistant to Panama wilt （F. oxysporum）, we introduced an HL gene that is driven by a constitutive cauliflower mosaic virus 35S promoter into the banana via Agrobacteriummediated transformation. PCR confirmed that 51 transgenic plants were obtained. The development of Panama wilt symptoms were examined after the plants had been grown in pots. The non-transgenic plants developed typical fusarium symptoms 60 d after FocR4 inoculation, whereas 24 of 51 transgenic plants remained healthy. The transgenic banana plants that showed resistance to FocR4 in the pots were then planted in a field that was heavily infected with FocR4 for further investigation. Eleven of 24 plants devel- oped symptoms before bud emergence; another 11 plants showed symptoms after bud emergence and the remaining two plants, H-67 and H-144, remained healthy and were able to fruit. Northern blotting analysis demonstrated that H-67 and H-144, bearing the strongest resistance to Panama wilt, had the highest level of HL expression and that the expression of HL was well correlated with the FocR4 resistance of transgenic plants. We conclude that Agrobacterium-mediated transformation, with the assistance of particle bombardment, is a powerful approach for banana transformation and that a transgenic HL gene can cause resistance of the crop to FocR4 in the field.
