The small-eared shrew genus Cryptotis is the third largest in the family Soricidae and occurs in North,Central,and northern South *** Mexico and Central and South America,most species inhabit geographically isolated moist,montane habitats at middle and high elevations in a typical sky-island *** 49 recognized species have been partitioned into as many as six species groups based on morphological and molecular phylogenetic *** relationships among these species groups are poorly resolved,and their evolutionary histories,including migration patterns and locomotor adaptations,remain ***,we provide a new phylogeny incorporating complete mitochondrial genomes(mitogenomes)and supermatrix *** compared different evolutionary scenarios using approximately unbiased(AU),Kishino-Hasegawa(KH),and Shimodaira-Hasegawa(SH)statistical *** phylogenetic hypothesis based on mitogenomes revealed novel relationships supporting a basal position for the Cryptotis parvusgroup in the genus,and a close relationship between *** and one clade of the *** former relationship is consistent with the least derived humerus morphology and northern distribution of the *** latter relationship i mplies multiple migrations between Central and South *** lack of fine resolution for the species group relationships may be due partly to the lack of taxon *** contrast,multi-approach analyses suggest that the unresolved relationships may be a result of rapid diversification during the early stages of Cryptotis evolution.

DEAR EDITOR,In this study, we sequenced the complete mitochondrial genome （mitogenome） of the Thai Red Junglefowl （RJF; Gallus gallus） using the next-generation sequencing （NGS） platform of the Ion Torrent PGM. Samples were taken from Mae wang District, Chiang Mai Province, northern Thailand Our data showed the complete mitogenome to be 16 785 bp in length, composed by 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNA genes, two rRNA genes, and one control region. The genome nucleotide composition was 30.3% A, 23.7% T, 32.5% C, and 13.5% G, resulting in a high percentage of A＋T （50.4%）. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that the mitogenome belonged to haplogroup X, whereas those of all domestic chickens belong to haplogroups A to G. This newly released mitogenome sequence will advance further evolutionary and population genetics study of the RJF and domestic chicken The availability of the G. gallus mitogenome will also contribute to further conservation genetics research of a unique species, listed as ＇data deficient＇ in Thailand.

Five new sesquiterpenoids(1-5),chloranholides A-E,along with three known compounds(6-8),were isolated from the whole plants of Chloranthus *** structures were elucidated using the spectroscopic methods(IR,UV,HR-ESI-MS,ID and 2D NMR),and their absolute configurations were determined by the X-ray crystallography and ECD *** 1-8 were evaluated for their anti-inflammatory effects on LPS-induced RAW 264.7 macrophage ***,compound 4 exhibited the most significant anti-inflammatory activity with the secretion levels of TNF-α and IL-6 at 15.52%and 5.98%,respectively,better than that of dexamethasone.

Tomato(Lycopersicon esculentum cv. 402)was used to investigate the effects of 1-MCP(1-methylcyclopropene)treatment on ethylene production, respiration, vitamin C, chlorophyll, titratable acid, change of fruit color and rot. The results indicated that 1-MCP strongly inhibited ethylene production and respiration of tomato at very low concentration, delayed the incidence of climacteric peak of ethylene production and respiration. 1-MCP also delayed the decrease of vitamin C, chlorophyll and titratable acid during shelf life and storage significantly. Shelf and storage life of fruit treated with 1-MCP were extended at least 10 days at ambient(20 - 22℃)and 15 days at storage(9 - 11℃)temperature, respectively. Efficacy of 1-MCP on shelf and storage life was improved by increasing its concentration. After treatment of 1-MCP, rots were markedly lower than that of untreated fruit. 1-MCP treatment delayed the fruit color change.

To investigate the performance of utilizing the shape memory effect of SMA(Shape Memory Alloy)wire to generate recovery stress,this paper performed single heating recovery stress tests and reciprocating heating-cooling recovery stress tests on SMA wire under varying initial strain *** effects of various strains and different energized heating methods on the recovery stress of SMA wires were explored in the single heating *** SMA wire was strained from 2%to 8%initially,and two distinct heating approaches were employed:one using a large current interval for rapid heating and one using a small current interval for slower *** experimental outcomes reveal that during a single heating cycle,the temperature-recovery stress relationship of SMA wire exhibits three distinct stages:the martensite phase stage,the transition stage from martensite to austenite phase,and the austenite phase ***,the choice of heating method does not influence the maximum recovery stress value,and the correlation between initial strain and maximum recovery stress is predominantly ***,conducting the reciprocating temperature rise and fall performance test is important to better simulate the scenario in practical engineering where multiple recovery stress in SMA wires for structural *** this test,two temperature cycling methods were studied:interval rise and fall,as well as direct rise and *** the case of utilizing the interval temperature rise and fall method,it was observed that the recovery stress associated with cooling was significantly higher than that corresponding to heating at the same ***,the recovery stress was lower upon subsequent heating than that measured during the previous heating *** on the experimental results,a prediction model for the temperature-recovery stress relationship has been proposed to simplify numerical *** is hoped that an approximate temperaturerecovery stress curve can be

The monogamy of entanglement stands as an indispensable feature within multipartite quantum systems. We study monogamy relations with respect to any partitions for the generalized W-class（GW） states based on the unified-（q, s） entanglement（UE）. We provide the monogamy relation based on the squared UE for a reduced density matrix of a qudit GW state, as well as tighter monogamy relations based on the αth（α ≥ 2） power of UE. Furthermore, for an n-qudit system ABC1...Cn-2, a generalized monogamy relation and an upper bound satisfied by the βth（0 ≤ β ≤ 1） power of the UE for the GW states under the partition AB and C1...Cn-2are established. In particular, two partition-dependent residual entanglements for the GW states are analyzed in detail.

An online subsection cooling method for hot rolling silicon steel was designed to achieve local adjustment of transverse roll ***,it was able to meet the requirements of edge drop of the strip by using the features of online thermal ***,after the new subsection spray beam was installed at the exit of mill,the special local cooling rules were analyzed for altering the thermal crown of roll according to rolling process ***,the dynamic impact of subsection cooling on the local thermal crown could just be obtained according to the measured ***,the heat transfer coefficient was determined by different subsection cooling curves under varied rolling ***,the rolling rhythm and variable conditions were important dynamic factors of transient roll temperature in practical rolling ***,real-time calculation and presetting of the thermal crown were carried out to maximize special requirements of load roll gap on local strip *** this new method,the transient temperature and the thermal crown of roll could be quantitatively controlled *** the practical results showed that the predicted temperature was able to match the measured value by more than 95%.Meanwhile,the adjustable range of thermal crown increased by more than 2.5 ***,the qualification rate of strip edge crown has increased from the original 30%to over 70%.

DEAR EDITOR, In this study, we sequenced the complete mitochondrial DNA genome （mitogenome） of the Zhengyang Yellow chicken （Gallus gallus domesticus） by next-generation sequencing technology. Samples were taken from Zhumadian city, Henan Province, China. The complete mitogenome was 16 785 bp in size, and had a nucleotide composition of 30.3% （A）, 23.7% （T） 32.5% （C）, and 13.5% （G）, with a high AT content of 54.0%. The assembled mitogenome exhibited typical mitochondrial DNA （mtDNA） structure, including a non-coding control region, two rRNA genes, 13 protein-coding genes, and 22 tRNA genes. Phylogenetic analysis indicated that this mitogenome defined a novel sub-haplogroup B3 within haplogroup B. These results should provide essential information for chicken domestication and insiqht into the evolution of genomes.
