Interfacial Chain Entanglements Induced Melt Memory Effect in Poly(ε-caprolactone)/Silica Nanocomposites

It is known that the enhanced melt memory effect is strongly correlated with the retarded chain ***,previous studies using differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)showed a weakened or even vanished melt memory in polymer nanocomposites,although adding nanoparticles in polymers often reduces chain *** this work,we added two kinds of silica nanoparticles,O15 and W22 nanoparticles(with low and high surface silanol density,respectively),to poly(ε-caprolactone)(PCL),where the degree of chain entanglements near nanoparticles increases,and chain dynamics is gradually retarded with increasing silica *** strongly aggregated W22 nanoparticles show significant heterogeneous nucleation,while well-dispersed O15 nanoparticles exhibit very weak heterogeneous *** contrast to the restrained self-nucleation effects during the rapid non-isothermal crystallization of two nanocomposites,we found evident melt memory effects during the slow isothermal crystallization in PCL/O15 nanocomposites as indicated by DSC and polarized light microscopy(PLM)*** melt memory becomes stronger with more O15 nanoparticles,but depends non-monotonically on the loadings of W22 *** lifetime of the melt memory effects matches the chain re-entanglement time of the SN melts of nanocomposites,which is consistent with our previous work on PCL miscible *** complicated influence of silica on nucleation and crystal growth is induced by the spatial inhomogeneity of chain entanglements in the silica-filled PCL *** decrease in the entanglement density of the interfacial chains in the SN melts of nanocomposites is conducive to nucleate under slow isothermal crystallization,but the chain mobility is still greatly restrained by the nanoparticles,causing the slow growth rate of spherulites and the difficulty to form nuclei under fast non-isothermal crystallization.

Shear-horizontal transverse-electric seismoelectric waves in cylindrical double layer porous media

The shear-horizontal(SH) waves excited by the shear source in a borehole are easy to analyze due to the simple waveform. The borehole-side structures make the formation properties discontinuous. We consider a cylindrical double layer structure and study the borehole shear-horizontal and transverse-electric(SH-TE) seismoelectric waves. We first derive the expressions of the basic field quantities, and simulate the acoustic field and electric field using the real axis integral method. Compared with the wave fields of an infinitely homogeneous porous medium outside the borehole, the cylindrical layered structure makes the multi-mode cylindrical Love waves and their accompanying electric fields ***, in order to study the interface response law of the inducing electric fields, we use the secant integral method to calculate the interface converted electromagnetic waves and analyze the causes of each component. It is found that an interface response occurs each time the SH wave impinges the interface in the layered porous medium. The results show that the SH-TE mode has a potential application for borehole-side interface detection in geophysical logs.

Effects of confining pressure and pore pressure on multipole borehole acoustic field in fluid-saturated porous media

In-situ stress is a common stress in the exploration and development of oil reservoirs. Therefore, it is of great significance to study the propagation characteristics of borehole acoustic waves in fluid-saturated porous media under *** on the acoustoelastic theory of fluid-saturated porous media, the field equation of fluid-saturated porous media under the conditions of confining pressure and pore pressure and the acoustic field formula of multipole source excitation in open hole are given. The influences of pore pressure and confining pressure on guided waves of multipole borehole acoustic field in fluid-saturated porous media are investigated. The numerical results show that the phase velocity and excitation intensity of guided wave increase significantly under the confining pressure. For a given confining pressure, the phase velocity of the guided wave decreases with pore pressure increasing. The excitation intensity of guided wave increases at low frequency and then decreases at high frequency with pore pressure increasing, except for that of Stoneley wave which decreases in the whole frequency range. These results will help us get an insight into the influences of confining pressure and pore pressure on the acoustic field of multipole source in borehole around fluid-saturated porous media.

Effects of therapeutic hypercapnia on inflammation and apoptosis after hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats

Background Therapeutic hypercapnia （TH） has been demonstrated to protect several organs ischemia-reperfusion *** study aimed to investigate the effects of therapeutic hypercapnia on hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury （HIRI）.Methods Thirty adult male Wistar rats weighing （250 ± 20） g were randomized into 3 groups （n=10 in each）, group C （control group）, group A （hypercapnia group） and group B （CO2 preconditioning group）.A segmental ischemia of the liver was induced by interrupting the blood vessels including the bile duct to the median and left lateral lobes for 60 minutes and all the animals were sacrificed after 240 minutes observation period of *** arterial pressure （MAP）and the blood gases were measured before ischemia （baseline） and at 30, 60, 120, 180 and 240 minutes after *** blood samples were obtained for determination of serum levels of TNF-α, IL-10, serum aspartate aminotransferase （AST） and alanine aminotransferase （ALT）.The histopathology of liver tissues was evaluated by light *** NF-κB expression and apoptotic hepatocytes were respectively determined by immunohistochemistry and TUNEL *** The serum levels of liver enzymes and TNF-α were significantly decreased while the IL-10 level was significantly increased in groups A and B than in group C （P 〈0.05）, and group B surpassed group A （P 〈0.05）.The histopathological scores, the NF-κB immunohistochemical score （IHS） and apoptotic index were significantly lower in groups A and B than in group C （P 〈0.05）, and the decrease in group B was more obvious than in group A （P〈0.05）.Conclusion Therapeutic hypercapnia attenuates ischemia-reperfusion injury to the ***, the effects of CO2preconditioning are outstandingly notable.

Remediation mechanism of high concentrations of multiple heavy metals in contaminated soil by Sedum alfredii and native microorganisms

Pollution accident of nonferrous metallurgy industry often lead to serious heavy metal pollution of the surrounding *** of contaminated soil is an environmental and sustainable technology,and soil native microorganisms in the process of phytoremediation also participate in the remediation of heavy ***,the effects of high concentrations of multiple heavy metals(HCMHMs)on plants and native soil microorganisms remain ***,further clarification of themechanism of phytoremediation of HCMHMs soil by plants and native soil microorganisms is *** the plant Sedum alfredii(***)to restore HCMHM-contaminated soil,we further explored the mechanism of *** and native soil microorganisms in the remediation of HCMHM *** results showed that(i)*** can promote heavy metals from non-rhizosphere soil to rhizosphere soil,which is conducive to the effect of plants on heavy *** addition,it can also enrich the absorbed heavy metals in its roots and leaves;(ii)native soil bacteria can increase the abundance of signal molecule-synthesizing enzymes,such as trpE,trpG,bjaI,rpfF,ACSL,and yidC,and promote the expression of the pathway that converts serine to cysteine,then synthesize substances to chelate heavy *** addition,we speculated that genes such as K19703,K07891,K09711,K19703,K07891,and K09711 in native bacteria may be involved in the stabilization or absorption of heavy *** results provide scientific basis for *** to remediate heavy metals contaminated soils,and confirm the potential of phytoremediation of HCMHM contaminated soil.

Planar Hall plateau in magnetic Weyl semimetals

Despite the rapid progress in the study of planar Hall effect(PHE)in recent years,all the previous works only showed that the PHE is connected to local geometric quantities,such as Berry ***,for the first time,we point out that the PHE in magnetic Weyl semimetals is directly related to a global quantity,namely,the Chern number of the Weyl *** leads to a remarkable consequence that the PHE observation predicted here is robust against many system details,including the Fermi *** main difference between non-magnetic and magnetic Weyl points is that the latter breaks time-reversal symmetry T,thus generally possessing an energy *** semiclassical Boltzmann theory,we investigate the PHE in generic magnetic Weyl models with energy tilt and arbitrary Chern *** find that by aligning the magnetic and electric fields in the same direction,the trace of the PHE conductivity contributed by Berry curvature and orbital moment is proportional to the Chern number and the energy tilt of the Weyl points,resulting in a previously undiscovered quantized PHE plateau by varying the Fermi *** further confirm the existence of PHE plateaus in a more realistic lattice model without T *** proposing a new quantized physical quantity,our work not only provides a new tool for extracting the topological character of the Weyl points but also suggests that the interplay between topology and magnetism can give rise to intriguing physics.

BACKGROUND Gastric cancer(GC)is the fifth most common malignancy and the third leading cause of death *** advancements in immunotherapies,patient prognosis remains poor,necessitating the identification of key prognostic factors to optimize the treatment *** resistance,as indicated by the triglyceride glucose(TyG)index,is increasingly recognized for its impact on cancer progression and immune modulation,and its potential role in GC prognosis is of particular *** To investigate whether the TyG index,a surrogate marker of insulin resistance,can predict the prognosis of patients with advanced GC receiving immunotherapy combined with *** This retrospective study included 300 patients with advanced GC who received sintilimab combined with *** patients were categorized into two groups according to high or low TyG index,and independent prognostic factors for overall survival(OS)were determined using Cox proportional hazards regression analysis,which led to the development of a nomogram *** Of the included patients,136 had a high TyG index and 164 had a low TyG *** median progression-free survival of the high TyG index group was significantly longer than that of the low TyG index ***,the median OS of the high TyG index group was significantly longer than that of the low TyG index *** ob-jective response and disease control rates in the two groups were 18.38%vs 9.15%and 58.82%vs 46.95%,*** significant difference was noted in the incidence of adverse reactions at any level between the two groups(P>0.05).In multivariate analysis,the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group score,programmed cell death ligand 1 expression,and TyG index acted as independent prognostic factors for *** these factors,the hazard ratio of the TyG index was 0.36(95%confidence interval:0.36-0.55,P<0.001),and the nomogram model re-emphasized its importance as the main predictor of patient prognos
