Background:Most bone-related injuries to grassroots troops are caused by training or accidental *** establish preventive measures to reduce all kinds of trauma and improve the combat effectiveness of grassroots troops,it is imperative to develop new strategies and scafolds to promote bone ***:In this study,a porous piezoelectric hydrogel bone scafold was fabricated by incorporating polydopamine(PDA)-modified ceramic hydroxyapatite(PDA-hydroxyapatite,PHA)and PDA-modified barium titanate(PDABaTiO_(3),PBT)nanoparticles into a chitosan/gelatin(Cs/Gel)*** physical and chemical properties of the Cs/Gel/PHA scafold with 0–10 wt%PBT were *** and animal experiments were performed to characterize the immunomodulatory,angiogenic,and osteogenic capabilities of the piezoelectric hydrogel scafold in vitro and in ***:The incorporation of BaTiO_(3) into the scafold improved its mechanical properties and increased self-generated *** to their endogenous piezoelectric stimulation and bioactive constituents,the prepared Cs/Gel/PHA/PBT hydrogels exhibited cytocompatibility as well as immunomodulatory,angiogenic,and osteogenic capabilities;they not only effectively induced macrophage polarization to M2 phenotype but also promoted the migration,tube formation,and angiogenic differentiation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs)and facilitated the migration,osteodifferentiation,and extracellular matrix(ECM)mineralization of MC3T3-E1 *** in vivo evaluations showed that these piezoelectric hydrogels with versatile capabilities significantly facilitated new bone formation in a rat large-sized cranial injury *** underlying molecular mechanism can be partly attributed to the immunomodulation of the Cs/Gel/PHA/PBT hydrogels as shown via transcriptome sequencing analysis,and the PI3K/Akt signaling axis plays an important role in regulating macrophage M2 ***:The piezoelectric Cs/Gel/PHA/PBT hy

Numerical solution of potential flow equations with a predictor-corrector finite difference method

We develop a numerical solution algorithm of the nonlinear potential flow equations with the nonlinear free surface boundary condition.A finite difference method with a predictor-corrector method is applied to solve the nonlinear potential flow equations in a two-dimensional (2D) *** irregular tank is mapped onto a fixed square domain with rectangular cells through a proper mapping function.A staggered mesh system is adopted in a 2D tank to capture the wave elevation of the transient *** finite difference method with a predictor-corrector scheme is applied to discretize the nonlinear dynamic boundary condition and nonlinear kinematic boundary *** present the numerical results of wave elevations from small to large amplitude waves with free oscillation motion,and the numerical solutions of wave elevation with horizontal excited *** beating period and the nonlinear phenomenon are very *** numerical solutions agree well with the analytical solutions and previously published results.

Research progress on micro-force measurement of a hydrate particle system

It remains a great challenge to understand the hydrates involved in phenomena in practical oil and gas systems. The adhesion forces between hydrate particles, between hydrate particles and pipe walls, and between hydrate particles and reservoir particles are essential factors that control the behaviors of clathrate hydrates in different applications. In this review, we summarize the typical micro-force measurement apparatus and methods utilized to study hydrate particle systems. In addition, the adhesion test results, the related understandings, and the applied numerical calculation models are systematically discussed.

Combination of diketone and PAO to achieve macroscale oil-based superlubricity at relative high contact pressures

1-(4-ethylphenyl)-nonane-1,3-dione(0206)is an oil-soluble liquid molecule with rod-like *** this study,the chelate(0206-Fe)with octahedral structure was prepared by the reaction of ferric chloride and 1,*** experimental results show that when using 0206 and a mixed solution containing 60%0206-Fe and 40%0206(0206-Fe(60%))as lubricants of the steel friction pairs,superlubricity can be achieved(0.007,0.006).But their wear scar diameters(WSD)were very large(532µm,370µm),which resulted in the pressure of only 44.3 and 61.8 MPa in the contact areas of the friction *** 0206-Fe(60%)was mixed with PAO6,it was found that the friction coefficient(COF)decreased with increase of 0206-Fe(60%)in the *** the ratio of 0206-Fe(60%)to PAO6 was 8:2(PAO6(20%)),it exhibited better comprehensive tribological properties(232.3 MPa).Subsequent studies have shown that reducing the viscosity of the base oil in the mixed solution helped to reduce COF and increased *** the COF,contact pressure,and running-in time,it was found that the mixed lubricant(Oil3(20%))prepared by the base oil with a viscosity of 19.7 mPa·s(Oil3)and 0206-Fe(60%)exhibited the best tribological properties(0.007,161.4 MPa,3,100 s).

Molecular ferroelastics with the natural features of mechanical flexibility and switchable spontaneous strain have attracted widespread attention in the scientific community due to their potential applications in tunable gratings,flexible memorizers,strain sensors,and intelligent ***,most designs of molecular ferroelastics remain in the stage of blind exploration,posing a challenge to achieve a functional ferroelastic more ***,we have successfully obtained a molecular ferroelastic,[Me_(2)NH(CH_(2))_(2)NH_(3)](ReO_(4))_(2)(Me_(2)NH(CH_(2))_(2)NH_(3)=N,N-dimethylethylenediammonium),under the guidance of the mono-/double-protonation ***_double-protonated[Me_(2)NH(CH_(2))_(2)NH_(3)](ReO_(4))_(2) undergoes a paraelastic-ferroelastic phase transition with the Aizu notation of 2/mFi at 322 ***,the theoretical calculation and experimental measurement simultaneously show that[Me_(2)NH(CH_(2))_(2)NH_(3)](ReO_(4))_(2) possesses good mechanical flexibility,because its elastic modulus(E)of 8.26 GPa and hardness(H)of 0.45 GPa are smaller than the average values of organic crystals(E of 12.05 GPa and H of 0.5 GPa),which makes it promising to apply in wearable pressure sensors,implantable medical sensors,high-precision tuners,*** work further enriches the molecular ferroelastic family and demonstrates that mono-/double-protonation is one of the effective molecular modification strategies for designing ferroelastics.

Study on the tribological properties of metal rolling bearing under lubrication with diketone lubricants

In this article, 1-(4-ethylphenyl)-nonane-1,3-dione(0206) was prepared by Claisen condensation. By mixing 0206, chelate, and base oil in a ratio of 3.2:4.8:2, a diketone lubricant(PAO=14(20%)) that can achieve superlubricity was prepared and applied to bearing lubrication experiments. The experimental results show that when the bearing was lubricated by base oil, the friction coefficient(COF) and temperature rise decreased with the decrease of the viscosity of PAO. When PAO=14(20%) was used as the lubricant, the COF of the bearing was the lowest(0.001), and the wear morphology was comparable to that of the bearing lubricated with commercial lubricant. Compared with the base oil with the same viscosity, it is found that the COF and temperature rise of the bearing lubricated by PAO=14(20%) were lower under any experimental conditions. And when the amount of lubricant added was 10 μL, the COF of the bearing lubricated by PAO=14(20%) reached a very low value(0.0004).Bearing ball surface analysis identified the formation of diketone adsorption films. Combined with the previous PAO=14(20%)superlubricity mechanism, it was considered that the occurrence of tribochemical reaction and the bearing effect of chelates were the main reasons for the existence of ultra-low friction coefficient and low wear. In addition, when there were polar molecules in the lubricant, they were adsorbed on the metal surface through tribochemical reactions, resulting in many irregular pits on the surface.

Indian monsoon drove the dispersal of the thoracica group of Scytodes spitting spiders

We examined the global biogeography of the Scytodes thoracica group of spitting spiders based on 23 years of sampling at the species level(61 species in the thoracica group and 84 species of Scytodes)using DNA data from six *** results indicated that the thoracica group initially dispersed from Southeast Asia to East Africa between 46.5 and 33.0 million years ago,and dispersal events intensified between Southeast/South Asia and East/South Africa from the early to late *** timing of these events indicates that Asian-African faunal exchange of the thoracica group was driven by the Indian monsoon,and the pattern of dispersal suggests that colonialization took root when the Indian monsoon shifted from a North-South direction to an East-West direction from the middle Eocene.
