Glycogen serves as the principal energy reserve for metabolic processes in aquatic shellfish and substantially contributes to the flavor and quality of *** Jinjiang oyster(Crassostrea ariakensis)is an economically and ecologically important species in *** the present study,RNA sequencing(RNA-seq)and assay for transposase-accessible chromatin using sequencing(ATAC-seq)were performed to investigate gene expression and chromatin accessibility variations in oysters with different glycogen *** identified 9483 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)and 7215 genes with significantly differential chromatin accessibility(DCAGs)were obtained,with an overlap of 2600 genes between ***,a significant proportion of these genes were enriched in pathways related to glycogen metabolism,including“Glycogen metabolic process”and“Starch and sucrose metabolism”.In addition,genome-wide association study(GWAS)identified 526 single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)loci associated with glycogen *** loci corresponded to 241 genes,63 of which were categorized as both DEGs and *** study enriches basic research data and provides insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying the regulation of glycogen metabolism in ***.

Background:The application of Pringle maneuver(PM)during hepatectomy reduces intraoperative blood loss and the need for perioperative transfusion,but its effect on long-term recurrence and survival for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)remains *** sought to determine the association between the application of PM and post-hepatectomy oncologic outcomes for patients with ***:Patients who underwent curative hepatectomy for HCC at 9 Chinese hospitals from January 2010 to December 2018 were *** two propensity score methods[propensity score matching(PSM)and inverse probability of treatment weight(IPTW)],cumulative recurrence rate and cancer-specific mortality(CSM)were compared between the patients in the PM and non-PM *** competing-risks regression models were performed to adjust for the effect of non-cancer-specific mortality and other prognostic risk ***:Of the 2,798 included patients,2,404 and 394 did and did not adopt PM(the PM and non-PM groups),*** rates of intraoperative blood transfusion,postoperative 30-day mortality and morbidity were comparable between the two groups(all P>0.05).In the PSM cohort by the 1:3 ratio,compared to 382 patients in the non-PM group,1,146 patients in the PM group also had the higher cumulative 5-year recurrence rate and CSM(63.9%and 39.1%vs.55.3%and 31.6%,both P<0.05).Similar results were also yielded in the entire cohort and the IPTW *** competing-risks regression analyses demonstrated that no application of the PM was independently associated with lower recurrence rate and CSM based on various analytical cohorts[hazard ratio(HR),0.82 and 0.77 in the adjusted entire cohort,HR 0.80 and 0.73 in the PSM cohort,and HR 0.80 and 0.76 in the IPTW cohort,respectively].Conclusions:The findings suggested that no application of PM during hepatectomy for patients with HCC reduced the risk of postoperative recurrence and cancer-specific death by appr

Formulations of a hydromechanical interface element

A hydromechanical interface element is proposed for the consideration of the hydraulic-mechanical coupling effect along the *** fully coupled governing equations and the relevant finite element formulations are derived in detail for the interface *** the involved matrices are of the same form as those of a solid element,which makes the incorporation of the model into a finite element program *** examples are then numerically simulated using the interface *** results confirm the correctness of the proposed model and motivate its application in hydromechanical contact problems in the future.

Co-oxidation of arsenic(Ⅲ) and iron(Ⅱ) ions by pressurized oxygen in acidic solutions

The co-oxidation of As(Ⅲ) and Fe(Ⅱ) in acidic solutions by pressured oxygen was studied under an oxygen pressure between 0.5 and 2.0 MPa at a temperature of 150℃. It was confirmed that without Fe(Ⅱ) ions, As(Ⅲ) ions in the solutions are virtually non-oxidizable by pressured oxygen even at a temperature as high as 200℃ and an oxygen pressure up to 2.0 MPa. Fe(Ⅱ) ions in the solutions did have a catalysis effect on the oxidation of As(Ⅲ), possibly attributable to the production of such strong oxidants as hydroxyl free radicals (OH ) and Fe(Ⅳ) in the oxidation process of Fe(Ⅱ). The effects of such factors as the initial molar ratio of Fe(Ⅱ)/As(Ⅲ), initial pH value of the solution, oxygen pressure, and the addition of radical scavengers on the oxidation efficiencies of As(Ⅲ) and Fe(Ⅱ) were studied. It was found that the oxidation of As(Ⅲ) was limited in the co-oxidation process due to the accumulation of the As(Ⅲ) oxidation product, As(Ⅴ), in the solutions.

Synthesis, characterization, and property test of crystalline polyferric sulfate adsorbent used in treatment of contaminated water with a high As(Ⅲ) content

A crystalline polyferric sulfate(PFS) adsorbent was synthesized by oxidizing and precipitating ferrous ions in air atmospheric conditions. The morphology, structure, specific surface area(SSA), and adsorptive efficacy of the adsorbent to As(Ⅲ) were characterized by scanning electron microscope(SEM) and transmission electron microscopy(TEM) images, X-ray diffraction(XRD) patterns, Fourier-transform infrared(FTIR) spectra, BET SSA analyses, and adsorption experiments. The adsorbent showed a near-spherical aggregate structure and had good crystallinity. A significant amount of α-goethite co-precipitated with PFS in the case of the initial ferrous concentration of 1 mol/L and increased SSA of the adsorbent. The stability region of ferric compounds in the process was drawn and applied to analyze the iron behavior during the synthesis. The adsorption of As(Ⅲ) in high As(Ⅲ)-containing solutions fitted the Langmuir isotherm model adequately. The absorbent with co-precipitation of α-goethite showed good adsorbability for As(Ⅲ) and good filtering performance in the high As(Ⅲ)-containing solution of 10–100 mg/L under acidic, neutral, and alkaline conditions(pH 2.09–9.01). After the adsorption process, the stability of the residues bearing As(Ⅲ) was evaluated by toxic characteristic leaching procedure(TCLP) tests. The results indicated that the residues were extremely stable, and the concentrations of arsenic in the leaching solutions were less than 0.01 mg/L.

Rational synthesis of a hierarchical porous architecture with highly active and consecutive conductive network is very critical to achieve the high-performance of nanomaterials in electrochemical energy conversion and *** propose here a hierarchical micro-/nanostructured hybrids constructed by the dual carbon shell nanowire host containing CoP nanocrystals of several nanometers,which generates Co-based metal-organic framework on graphene oxide nanosheets in situ and followed a direct phosphorization(CoP@NC/rGO).The dual carbon shell,consisting of Co-based metal-organic framework derived porous doped carbon(NC)and reduced graphene oxide(rGO),can not only impedes CoP nanocrystals from coalescing,and renders highly exposed the electrochemically accessible active sites,but also provides the multidimensional pathways for rapid electron and ion *** importantly,the covered dual carbon shell on CoP nanocrystals plays a role as a protective layer to impede the nanocrystals’*** virtue of compositional and structural advantages,the micro-/nanostructured CoP@NC/rGO hybrids manifest outstanding energy storage properties when evaluated as anodes for lithium/sodium ion ***,it also reveals highly efficient electrocatalytic performance for hydrogen evolution reaction in acid media with low Tafel slope,overpotential and robust durability.

BnWRI1 coordinates fatty acid biosynthesis and photosynthesis pathways during oil accumulation in rapeseed

Photosynthesis in“green”seeds, such as rapeseed, soybean, and Arabidopsis, plays a substantial role in the improved efficiency of oil accumulation. However, the molecular mecha-nism underpinning the coordinated expression of fatty acid （FA） biosynthesis-and photosynthesis-related genes in such develop-ing seeds remains to be elucidated. Here, we found that seed-specific overexpression of BnWRI1, a WRI1 homolog from rapeseed （Brassica napus cv. ZGY2）, results in enhanced chlorophyl content in developing seeds and increased oil content and seed mass in matured seeds. BnWRI1 was co-expressed with BnBCCP and BnCAB, two marker genes of FA biosynthesis and photosynthesis during seed development, respectively. Over-expression of BnWRI1 increased expression of both marker genes. Further, the nuclear-localized BnWRI1 protein was found to act as a transcription activator. It could bind to the GT1-element and/or GCC-box, which are widespread in the upstream regions of genes involved in FA biosynthesis and photosynthesis pathways. Accordingly, BnWRI1 could interact with promoters of BCCP2 and LHB1B2 in vivo. These results suggested that BnWRI1 may coordinate FA biosynthesis and photosynthesis pathways in developing seeds via directly stimulating expression of GT1-element and/or GCC-box containing genes.

Highly active CoP-CO_(2)N confined in nanocarbon enabling efficient electrocatalytic immobilizing-conversion of polysulfide targeting high-rate lithium-sulfur batteries

Lithium-sulfur batteries suffer from poor cycling stability because of the intrinsic shuttling effect of intermediate polysulfides and sluggish reaction kinetics,especially at high rates and high sulfur ***,we report the construction of a CoP-CO_(2)N@N-doped carbon polyhedron uniformly anchored on three-dimensional carbon nanotubes/graphene(CoP-CO_(2)N@NC/CG)scaffold as a sulfur reservoir to achieve the trapping-diffusion-conversion of *** active CoP-CO_(2)N shows marvelous catalytic effects by effectively accelerating the reduction of sulfur and the oxidation of Li_(2)S during the discharging and charging process,respectively,while the conductive NC/CG network with massive mesoporous channels ensures fast and continuous long-distance electron/ion *** calculations demonstrate that the CoP-CO_(2)N with excellent intrinsic conductivity serves as job-synergistic immobilizing-conversion sites for polysulfides through the formation of P…Li/N…Li and Co…S *** a result,the S@CoP-CO_(2)N@NC/CG cathode(sulfur content 1.7 mg cm^(-2))exhibits a high capacity of988 mAh g^(-1)at 2 C after 500 cycles,which is superior to most of the electrochemical performance *** under high sulfur content(4.3 mg cm^(-2)),it also shows excellent cyclability with high capacity at 1 C.

A Low Temperature Vulcanized Transparent Silane Modified Epoxy Resins for LED Filament Bulb Package

In this work, low-temperature vulcanized, transparent silane modified epoxy resins for LED filament bulb package were prepared. Firstly, transparent silane modified epoxy resins were produced through a controllable sol-gel method using γ-（2,3-epoxypropoxy）propytrimethoxysilane and dimethyldiethoxylsilane. The features of the reaction were investigated and the products were characterized in detail. Subsequently, various curing agents were explored to prepare transparent silane modified epoxy resins. The silane modified epoxy resins cured by PEA-230 at a fairly low temperature（40 °C/2 h then 60 °C/1 h） exhibited excellent thermal stability with a thermal degradation temperature as high as 316.5 °C and adjustable hardness between 40-60 shore A. The application tests showed the materials obtained were good candidates for LED filament bulb package.

Evaluation of progressive early rehabilitation training mode in intensive care unit patients with mechanical ventilation

BACKGROUND Mechanical ventilation is a common resuscitation method in the intensive care unit(ICU).Unfortunately,this treatment process prolongs the ICU stay of patients with an increased incidence of delirium,which ultimately affects the *** To evaluate the effect of progressive early rehabilitation training on treatment and prognosis of patients with mechanical ventilation in *** The convenience sampling method selected 190 patients with mechanical ventilation admitted to the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University from March 2020 to March *** to the random number table method,they were divided into the control and intervention *** control group received routine nursing and rehabilitation measures,whereas the intervention group received progressive early rehabilitation *** addition,the incidence and duration of delirium were compared for the two groups along with mechanical ventilation time,ICU hospitalization time,functional independence measure(FIM)score,Barthel index,and the incidence of complications(deep venous thrombosis,pressure sores,and acquired muscle weakness).RESULTS In the intervention group,the incidence of delirium was significantly lower than in the control group(28%vs 52%,P<0.001).In the intervention group,the duration of delirium,mechanical ventilation time,and ICU stay were shorter than in the control group(P<0.001).The FIM and Barthel index scores were significantly higher in the intervention group than the control group(P<0.001).The total incidence of complications in the intervention group was 3.15%,which was lower than 17.89%in the control group(P<0.001).CONCLUSION Progressive early rehabilitation training reduced the incidence of delirium and complications in ICU patients with mechanical ventilation,which improved prognosis and quality of life.
