Relationship between seismic structures and the diverse rupture processes of the 2.2. Türkiye earthquake doublet

Recent geodetic and seismological observations of two major earthquakes in southeastern Türkiye in February 2.2. have revealed complex rupture initiation,propagation,and segmentation along the East Anatolian Fault Zone(EAFZ)and surrounding ***,the role of upper crust structures along the EAFZ in determining the diverse rupture processes of this earthquake doublet remains *** further investigate this,we employed double-difference location and seismic tomography techniques to determine high-resolution seismic velocities(V_(P),V_(S))and Poisson’s ratio(σ)structures using a multiparameter joint tomographic *** dataset includes 100,833 high-quality source-receiver travel-time pairs of P-and *** find that the unique rupture processes of this earthquake doublet were primarily influenced by contrasting crustal seismic structures and localized geological *** M_(w)7.8 mainshock was initiated within a transitional edge zone characterized by a rigid part(asperity)of the seismogenic zone with sharp contrast variations in rock strength ranging from low to high along the *** comparison,the M_(w)7.6 rupture originated in a ductile belt featuring fluid saturation with low-VP,low-VS,and high-σvalues that extended parallel to the Cardak *** pronounced contrast structures observed along the former rupture can be attributed to the oblique collision system between the weakened section of the east Anatolian plateau and the brittle Arabian platform,while the latter rupture was initiated within the ductile structure associated with fluid intrusion caused by the northward subduction of the Cyprus slab and subsequent ***,the occurrence of the first earthquake(E1)serves to alleviate shear stress on the second earthquake(E2.fault,potentially impeding the initiation of an E2.*** the contrary,this event also significantly reduces the normal stress acting on the E2.fault due to a double left-lateral strike-slip system

Research progress on micro-force measurement of a hydrate particle system

It remains a great challenge to understand the hydrates involved in phenomena in practical oil and gas systems. The adhesion forces between hydrate particles, between hydrate particles and pipe walls, and between hydrate particles and reservoir particles are essential factors that control the behaviors of clathrate hydrates in different applications. In this review, we summarize the typical micro-force measurement apparatus and methods utilized to study hydrate particle systems. In addition, the adhesion test results, the related understandings, and the applied numerical calculation models are systematically discussed.

KCNA1 is the coding gene for Kv1.1 voltage-gated potassium-channelα*** variants of KCNA1 have been reported to manifest as paroxysmal kinesigenic dyskinesia(PKD),but the correlation between them remains unclear due to the phenotypic complexity of KCNA1 variants as well as the rarity of PKD *** the whole exome sequencing followed by Sanger sequencing,we screen for potential pathogenic KCNA1 variants in patients clinically diagnosed with paroxysmal movement disorders and identify three previously unreported missense variants of KCNA1 in three unrelated Chinese *** proband of one family(c.496G>A,p.A166T)manifests as episodic ataxia type 1,and the other two(c.877G>A,p.V2.3I and c.1112.>A,p.T371A)manifest as *** pathogenicity of these variants is confirmed by functional studies,suggesting that p.A166T and p.T371A cause a loss-of-function of the channel,while p.V2.3I leads to a gain-of-function with the property of voltage-dependent gating and activation kinetic *** reviewing the locations of PKD-manifested KCNA1 variants in Kv1.1 protein,we find that these variants tend to cluster around the pore domain,which is similar to ***,our study strengthens the correlation between KCNA1 variants and PKD and provides more information on genotype–phenotype correlations of KCNA1 channelopathy.

Incorporating Lasso Regression to Physics-Informed Neural Network for Inverse PDE Problem

Partial Differential Equation(PDE)is among the most fundamental tools employed to model dynamic *** PDE modeling methods are typically derived from established knowledge and known phenomena,which are time-consuming and ***,discovering governing PDEs from collected actual data via Physics Informed Neural Networks(PINNs)provides a more efficient way to analyze fresh dynamic systems and establish *** study proposes Sequentially Threshold Least Squares-Lasso(STLasso),a module constructed by incorporating Lasso regression into the Sequentially Threshold Least Squares(STLS)algorithm,which can complete sparse regression of PDE coefficients with the constraints of l0 *** further introduces PINN-STLasso,a physics informed neural network combined with Lasso sparse regression,able to find underlying PDEs from data with reduced data requirements and better *** addition,this research conducts experiments on canonical inverse PDE problems and compares the results to several recent *** results demonstrated that the proposed PINN-STLasso outperforms other methods,achieving lower error rates even with less data.

Oxidation resistant low-alloyed Ti alloys with good ductility

Oxidation resistance enhancement of pure Ti often comes at the cost of reduced ductility,which is frequently the problem through alloying with sole Al,Si,W,Mo and *** overcome the short coming of single element alloying,this paper proposes a multi-element low-alloying strategy to take advantage of synergistic effects and resolve the conflict between oxidation resistance and *** demonstrates that the addition of a small quantity of Ta(0.51wt%)can boost both oxidation resistance and ductility in comparison to pure ***,the combined addition of a small amount(0.54 wt%)of Ta,Nb and Si not only preserves good ductility of pure Ti,but also reduces mass gains to 14%-67%of pure Ti during 100 h oxidation at 650-850℃in *** indicates even better oxidation resistance than that obtained through the use of Ta,Nb,or Nb+Ta *** Ta+Nb+Si alloying creates an oxide layer that is less porous and more resistant to stratification and ***,a 3-μm N-rich layer can form in the Ti substrate beneath the oxide scale,in which phase transformation generates coherent Ti_(2.N with(0001)_(Ti)as the habit plane,with N atoms prefers to diffuse along■than along[0001]_(Ti).The completely transformed Ti_(2.N region or partially transformed Ti+Ti_(2.N region can effectively impede oxygen ***,the multielement low-alloying strategy is promising for enhancing both oxidation resistance and mechanical properties of metallic materials in the future.

Owing to the promising therapeutic effect and one-time treatment advantage, gene therapy may completely change the management of eye diseases, especially retinal diseases. Adeno-associated virus (AAV) is considered one of the most promising viral gene delivery tools because it can infect various types of tissues and is considered as a relatively safe gene delivery vector. The eye is one of the most popular organs for gene therapy, since its limited volume is suitable for small doses of AAV stably transduction. Recently, an increasing number of clinical trials of AAV-mediated gene therapy are underway. This review summarizes the biological functions of AAV and its application in the treatment of various ocular diseases, as well as the characteristics of different AAV delivery routes in clinical applications. Here, the latest research progresses in AAV-mediated gene editing and silencing strategies to modify that the genetic ocular diseases are systematically outlined, especially by base editing and prime editing. We discuss the progress of AAV in ocular optogenetic therapy. We also summarize the application of AAV-mediated gene therapy in animal models and the difficulties in its clinical transformation.

Fabrication and properties of lightweight zirconia with fine closed porosity

Lightweight refractory materials with thermal insulation properties and erosion resistance are advantageous for hightemperature *** zirconia refractories were prepared using starch as a pore-forming agent,basic magnesium carbonate as a stabilizer,and nano-zirconia as an *** effects of the nano-zirconia content on the pore and thermal insulation properties of the lightweight zirconia refractories were investigated based on the porosity,phase composition,microstructure,and thermal ***-zirconia was shown to have a high surface energy,and its addition effectively increased the driving force for sintering,reduced the sintering temperature,and promoted the sintering reaction,thereby reducing the apparent porosity and improving the density of the prepared *** to the superplasticity of nano-zirconia,the surface stress caused plastic deformation between particles,which increased the migration rate of grain boundaries and trapped more gas inside the material before it diffused to the surface,thereby enhancing the closed porosity of the *** presence of closed pores could extend the thermal conduction path,decrease the conduction rate,and hinder the conduction effect to effectively reduce the thermal conductivity of the *** a nano-zirconia content of 0.75 wt.%,the prepared lightweight zirconia had the highest closed porosity and the lowest thermal *** apparent porosity,closed porosity,and total porosity of the material were 2.8%,7.0%,and 9.8%,respectively,and the thermal conductivity at 800℃was 1.37 W m^(-1)k^(-1).

Study on the clogging mechanism of punching screen in sand control by the punching structure parameters

As an independent sand control unit or a common protective shell of a high-quality screen,the punching screen is the outermost sand retaining unit of the sand control pipe which is used in geothermal well or oil and gas ***,most screens only consider the influence of the internal sand retaining medium parameters in the sand control performance design while ignoring the influence of the plugging of the punching screen on the overall sand retaining performance of the *** explore the clogging mechanism of the punching screen,this paper established the clogging mechanism calculation model of a single punching screen sand control unit by using the computational fluid mechanics-discrete element method(CFD-DEM)combined *** to the combined motion of particles and fluids,the influence of the internal flow state on particle motion and accumulation was *** results showed that(1)the clogging process of the punching sand control unit is divided into three stages:initial clogging,aggravation of clogging and stability of *** the initial stage of blockage,coarse particles form a loose bridge structure,and blockage often occurs preferentially at the streamline gathering place below chamfering inside the sand control *** the stage of blockage intensification,the particle mass develops into a relatively complete sand bridge,which develops from both ends of the opening to the center of the *** the stable plugging stage,the sand deposits show a“fan shape”and form a“V-shaped”gully inside the punching slot element.(2.Under a certain reservoir particle-size distribution,The slit length and opening height have a large influence on the permeability and blockage rate,while the slit width size has little influence on the permeability and blockage *** microscopic clogging mechanism and its law of the punching screen prevention unit are proposed in this study,which has some field guidance significance for the design of punching screen

Polydatin ameliorates hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury by modulating macrophage polarization

Background:Polydatin,a glucoside of resveratrol,has shown protective effects against various ***,little is known about its effect on hepatic ischemia-reperfusion(I/R)*** study aimed to elucidate whether polydatin protects liver against I/R-induced injury and to explore the underlying ***:After gavage feeding polydatin once daily for a week,mice underwent a partial hepatic I/R *** alanine aminotransferase(ALT)/aspartate aminotransferase(AST),hematoxylin-eosin(H&E)and TdT-mediated dUTP nick-end labeling(TUNEL)staining were used to evaluate liver *** severity related to the inflammatory response and reactive oxygen species(ROS)production was also ***,immunofluorescence and Western blotting were used to detect macrophage polarization and the NF-κB signaling pathway in ***:Compared with the I/R group,polydatin pretreatment significantly attenuated I/R-induced liver damage and *** oxidative stress marker(dihydroethidium fluorescence,malondialdehyde,superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase)and I/R related inflammatory cytokines(interleukin1β,interleukin-10 and tumor necrosis factor-α)were significantly suppressed after polydatin *** addition,the result of immunofluorescence indicated that polydatin reduced the polarization of macrophages toward M1 macrophages both in vivo and in *** blotting showed that polydatin inhibited the pro-inflammatory function of RAW2.4.7 via down-regulating the NF-κB signaling ***:Polydatin protects the liver from I/R injury by remodeling macrophage polarization via NFκB signaling.
