Detachable string magnetically controlled capsule endoscopy for the noninvasive diagnosis of esophageal diseases:A prospective,blind clinical study

BACKGROUND Traditional esophagogastroduodenoscopy(EGD),an invasive examination method,can cause discomfort and pain in *** contrast,magnetically controlled capsule endoscopy(MCE),a noninvasive method,is being applied for the detection of stomach and small intestinal diseases,but its application in treating esophageal diseases is not *** To evaluate the safety and efficacy of detachable string MCE(ds-MCE)for the diagnosis of esophageal *** Fifty patients who had been diagnosed with esophageal diseases were pros-pectively recruited for this clinical study and underwent ds-MCE and conven-tional *** primary endpoints included the sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value,negative predictive value,and diagnostic accuracy of ds-MCE for patients with esophageal *** secondary endpoints consisted of visualizing the esophageal and dentate lines,as well as the subjects'tolerance of the *** Using EGD as the gold standard,the sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value,negative predictive value,and diagnostic accuracy of ds-MCE for esophageal disease detection were 85.71%,86.21%,81.82%,89.29%,and 86%,***-MCE was more comfortable and convenient than EGD was,with 80%of patients feeling that ds-MCE examination was very comfortable or comfortable and 50%of patients believing that detachable string v examination was very *** This study revealed that ds-MCE has the same diagnostic effects as traditional EGD for esophageal diseases and is more comfortable and convenient than EGD,providing a novel noninvasive method for treating esophageal diseases.

Characteristics and main controlling factors of helium resources in the main petroliferous basins of the North China Craton

At present, the main controlling factors of helium accumulation is one of the key scientific problems restricting the exploration and development of helium reservoir. In this paper, based on the calculation results of He generation rate and the geochemical characteristics of the produced gas, both the similarities and differences between natural gas and He resources in the Bohai Bay, Ordos and the surrounding Songliao Basin are compared and analyzed, discussing the main controlling factors of helium resources in the three main petroliferous basins of the North China Craton. It is found that the three basins of Bohai Bay, Ordos and Songliao have similar characteristics of source rocks, reservoirs and cap rocks, that's why their methane resource characteristics are essentially the same. The calculated ~4He generation per cubic metamorphic crystalline basement in the three basins is roughly equivalent, which is consistent with the measured He resources, and it is believed that the ~4He of radiogenic from the crust is the main factor controlling the overall He accumulation in the three basins;there is almost no contribution of the mantle-derived CH_4, which suggests that the transport and uplift of mantle-derived ~3He carried by the present-day magmatic activities along the deep-large faults is not the main reason for the mantle-derived ~3He mixing in the basins. Combined with the results of regional volcanic and geophysical studies,it is concluded that under the background of the destruction of North China Craton, magma intrusion carried a large amount of mantle-derived material and formed basic volcanic rocks in the Bohai Bay Basin and Songliao Basin, which replenished mantle-derived ~3He for the interior of the basins, and that strong seismic activities in and around the basins also promoted the upward migration of mantle source ~3He. Heterogeneous body compositions and all-cause mortality in acute coronary syndrome patients:a ten-year retrospective cohort study

BACKGROUND The association of different body components,including lean mass and body fat,with the risk of death in acute coronary syndrome(ACS)patients are *** We enrolled adults diagnosed with ACS at our center between January 2011 and December 2012 and obtained fol-low-up outcomes via telephone *** used restricted cubic splines(RCS)with the Cox proportional hazards model to analyze the associations between body mass index(BMI),predicted lean mass index(LMI),predicted body fat percentage(BF),and the value of LMI/BF with 10-year *** also examined the secondary outcome of death during *** During the maximum 10-year follow-up of 1398 patients,331 deaths(23.6%)occurred,and a U-shaped relationship was found between BMI and death risk(P_(nonlinearity)=0.03).After adjusting for age and history of diabetes,the overweight group(24≤BMI<28 kg/m^(2))had the lowest mortality(HR=0.53,95%CI:0.29-0.99).Predicted LMI and LMI/BF had an inverse linear relationship with a 10-year death risk(P_(nonlinearity)=0.24 and P_(nonlinearity)=0.38,respectively),while an increase in BF was associ-ated with increased mortality(P_(nonlinearity)=0.64).During hospitalization,31 deaths(2.2%)were recorded,and the associations of the indicators with in-hospital mortality were consistent with the long-term outcome *** Our study provides new insight into the“obesity paradox”in ACS patients,highlighting the importance of considering body composition *** LMI and BF may serve as useful tools for assessing nutritional status and predicting the prognosis of ACS,based on their linear associations with all-cause mortality.

Tuning microstructures of TC4 ELI to improve explosion resistance

A reasonable heat treatment process for TC4 ELI titanium alloy is crucial to tune microstructures to improve its explosion ***,there is limited investigation on tuning microstructures of TC4 ELI to improve explosion ***,the current challenge is quantifying microstructural changes'effects on explosion resistance and incorporating microstructural changes into finite element *** work aims to tune microstructures to improve explosion resistance and elucidate their anti-explosion mechanism,and find a suitable method to incorporate microstructural changes into finite element *** this work,we systematically study the deformation and failure characteristics of TC4 ELI plates with varying microstructures using an air explosion test and LS-DYNA finite element *** Johnson-Cook(JC)constitutive parameters are used to quantify the effects of microstructural changes on explosion resistance and incorporate microstructural changes into finite element *** of the heat treatment,one plate has equiaxed microstructure and the other has bimodal *** convex of the plate after the explosion has a quadratic relationship with the charge mass,and the simulation results demonstrate high reliability,with the error less than 17.5%.Therefore,it is feasible to obtain corresponding JC constitutive parameters based on the differences in microstructures and mechanical properties and characterize the effects of microstructural changes on explosion *** bimodal target exhibits excellent deformation *** response of bimodal microstructure to the shock wave may be more intense under explosive *** well-coordinated structure of the bimodal target enhances its resistance to deformation.
