In this editorial,we comment on the article by Liu et *** on our analysis of a case report,we consider that early screening and recognition of primary nasal tuberculosis are crucial for patients undergoing treatment with tumor necrosis factor inhibitor(TNFi).While TNFi therapy increases the risk of reactivating latent tuberculosis,primary nasal tuberculosis remains rare due to the protective mechanisms of the nasal *** factors for primary nasal tuberculosis include minimally invasive nasal surgery,diabetes,and human immunodefi ciency *** with early symptoms such as nasal congestion,rhinorrhea,altered olfaction,epistaxis,or ulceration,and unresponsive to conventional antibiotics and antihistamines should undergo early rhinoscopy,possibly followed by repeated tissue biopsies and acid-fast bacilli culture when *** diagnosis is challenging,it is essential to consider local tuberculosis epidemiology and the efficacy of diagnostic antituberculosis *** preferred method for tuberculosis screening is the Interferon Gamma Release Assay,with a general recommendation for screening at 3 and 6 months after initial treatment and then every six ***,the optimal frequency is not yet consensus-driven and may be increased in economically viable settings.

Melting Characteristics and Wettability of Binding Phase in Sinter

The melting characteristics and wettability of the binding phase in high basicity sinter were studied. By changing nCaO∶nFe2O3 （molar ratio of CaO to Fe2O3） as well as the percentage of MgO,SiO2,and Al2O3,the melting characteristics and wettability of the binding phase were discussed. The results indicated that the characteristic melting temperature was the lowest and wettability was the best at nCaO∶nFe2O3=1∶1 （without addition）; the addition of MgO increased the characteristic melting temperature and contact angles; when the percentage of SiO2 or Al2O3 was 3%,the characteristic melting temperature was the lowest,whereas the contact angles increased with an increase in SiO2 and Al2O3 contents.

Oxidation resistant low-alloyed Ti alloys with good ductility

Oxidation resistance enhancement of pure Ti often comes at the cost of reduced ductility,which is frequently the problem through alloying with sole Al,Si,W,Mo and *** overcome the short coming of single element alloying,this paper proposes a multi-element low-alloying strategy to take advantage of synergistic effects and resolve the conflict between oxidation resistance and *** demonstrates that the addition of a small quantity of Ta(0.51wt%)can boost both oxidation resistance and ductility in comparison to pure ***,the combined addition of a small amount(0.54 wt%)of Ta,Nb and Si not only preserves good ductility of pure Ti,but also reduces mass gains to 14%-67%of pure Ti during 100 h oxidation at 650-850℃in *** indicates even better oxidation resistance than that obtained through the use of Ta,Nb,or Nb+Ta *** Ta+Nb+Si alloying creates an oxide layer that is less porous and more resistant to stratification and ***,a 3-μm N-rich layer can form in the Ti substrate beneath the oxide scale,in which phase transformation generates coherent Ti_(2)N with(0001)_(Ti)as the habit plane,with N atoms prefers to diffuse along■than along[0001]_(Ti).The completely transformed Ti_(2)N region or partially transformed Ti+Ti_(2)N region can effectively impede oxygen ***,the multielement low-alloying strategy is promising for enhancing both oxidation resistance and mechanical properties of metallic materials in the future.

Study on the optimal incident proton energy of ^(7)Li(p,n)^(7)Be neutron source for boron neutron capture therapy

Boron neutron capture therapy(BNCT)is recognized as a precise binary targeted radiotherapy technique that effectively eliminates tumors through the^(10)B(n,α)^(7)Li nuclear *** various neutron sources,accelerator-based sources have emerged as particularly promising for BNCT ***^(7)Li(p,n)^(7)Be reaction is highly regarded as a potential neutron source for BNCT,owing to its low threshold energy for the reaction,significant neutron yield,appropriate average neutron energy,and additional *** study utilized Monte Carlo simulations to model the physical interactions within a lithium target subjected to proton bombardment,including neutron moderation by an MgF_(2)moderator and subsequent BNCT dose analysis using a Snyder head *** study focused on calculating the yields of epithermal neutrons for various incident proton energies,finding an optimal energy at 2.7 ***,the Snyder head phantom was employed in dose simulations to validate the effectiveness of this specific incident energy when utilizing a^(7)Li(p,n)^(7)Be neutron source for BNCT purposes.

Study of primordial deuterium abundance in Big Bang nucleosynthesis

Big Bang nucleosynthesis(BBN)theory predicts the primordial abundances of the light elements^(2) H(referred to as deuterium,or D for short),^(3)He,^(4)He,and^(7) Li produced in the early *** these,deuterium,the first nuclide produced by BBN,is a key primordial material for subsequent *** date,the uncertainty in predicted deuterium abundance(D/H)remains larger than the observational *** this study,the Monte Carlo simulation code PRIMAT was used to investigate the sensitivity of 11 important BBN reactions to deuterium *** found that the reaction rate uncertainties of the four reactions d(d,n)^(3)He,d(d,p)t,d(p,γ)^(3)He,and p(n,γ)d had the largest influence on the calculated D/H ***,the calculated D/H uncertainty cannot reach observational precision even with the recent LUNA precise d(p,γ)^(3) He *** the nuclear physics aspect,there is still room to largely reduce the reaction-rate uncertainties;hence,further measurements of the important reactions involved in BBN are still necessary.A photodisintegration experiment will be conducted at the Shanghai Laser Electron Gamma Source Facility to precisely study the deuterium production reaction of p(n,γ)d.

In this paper,the numerical simulation method is used to study the ballistic performances of hourglass lattice sandwich structures with the same mass under the vertical incidence of *** is paid to elucidating the influences of rod cross-section dimensions,structure height,structure layer,and rod inclination angle on the deformation mode,ballistic performances,and ability to change the ballistic direction of *** results show that the ballistic performances of hourglass lattice sandwich structures are mainly affected by their structural *** this respect,structural parameters optimization of the hourglass lattice sandwich structures enable one to effectively improve their ballistic limit velocity and,consequently,ballistic performances.

Effect of Ellipsoidal Particle Shape on Tribological Properties of Lubricants Containing Nanoparticles

Adding nanoparticles can significantly improve the tribological properties of ***,there is a lack of understanding regarding the influence of nanoparticle shape on lubrication *** this work,the influence of diamond nanoparticles(DNPs)on the tribological properties of lubricants is investigated through friction ***,the friction characteristics of lubricants regarding ellipsoidal particle shape are investigated using molecular dynamics(MD)*** results show that DNPs can drastically lower the lubricant's friction coefficientμfrom 0.21 to *** shearing process reveals that as the aspect ratio(α)of the nanoparticles approaches 1.0,the friction performance improves,and wear on the wall *** the same time,the shape of the nanoparticles tends to be *** 0.85≤α≤1.0,rolling is ellipsoidal particles'main form of motion,and the friction force changes according to a periodic sinusoidal *** the range of 0.80≤αminant movement ***αdecreases within this range,the friction force progressively *** friction coefficientμcalculated through MD simulation is 0.128,which is consistent with the experimental data.
