Gallbladder carcinosarcoma with a poor prognosis: A case report

BACKGROUND Carcinosarcoma of the gallbladder is a rare malignant tumor with a very poor *** date,only approximately 100 patients have been reported in the English *** prognosis of this tumor type is poor,the preoperative diagnosis is difficult,and there is a possibility of a *** present an unsuccessful case of carcinosarcoma of the gallbladder with a preoperative misdiagnosis and rapid early postoperative ***,we have a deeper understanding of the poor prognosis of gallbladder carcinosarcoma(GBC)*** SUMMARY The patient is a 65-year-old *** was admitted to the hospital because of right upper abdomen distending pain and discomfort for half a *** magnetic resonance imaging revealed a polycystic mass in the right lobe of the liver and the fossa of the *** admission,the patient was diagnosed with a liver abscess,which was treated by abscess puncture ***,this treatment was *** and cholecystectomy were performed one month after the *** pathologic examination revealed carcinosarcoma of the gallbladder,and the resected specimen contained two tumor *** month after surgery,the patient's tumor recurred in situ and started to compress the duodenum,resulting in duodenal obstruction and *** treatment was not *** patient died of gastrointestinal hemorrhage and hypovolemic *** Carcinosarcoma of the gallbladder is a rare malignant tumor that is easily misdiagnosed preoperatively and has a poor prognosis.

Liver transplantation(LT)is the standard therapy for individuals afflicted with end-stage liver *** notable advancements in LT technology,the incidence of early allograft dysfunction(EAD)remains a critical concern,exacerbating the current organ shortage and detrimentally affecting the prognosis of ***,the perplexing hepatic heterogeneity has impeded characterization of the cellular traits and molecular events that contribute to ***,we constructed a pioneering single-cell transcriptomic landscape of human transplanted livers derived from non-EAD and EAD patients,with 12 liver samples collected from 7 donors during the cold perfusion and portal reperfusion *** of the 75231 cells of non-EAD and EAD patients revealed an EAD-associated immune niche comprising mucosal-associated invariant T cells,granzyme B^(+)(GZMB^(+))granzyme K^(+)(GZMK^(+))natural killer cells,and S100 calcium binding protein A12^(+)(S100A12^(+))***,we verified this immune niche and its association with EAD occurrence in two independent *** findings elucidate the cellular characteristics of transplanted livers and the EAD-associated pathogenic immune niche at the single-cell level,thus,offering valuable insights into EAD onset.

AIM:To explore the prognostic factors for lacrimal gland adenoid cystic carcinoma(LGACC)in Chinese ***:Clinical and histopathological data were reviewed in patients with pathologically confirmed *** recurrence,metastasis,and disease-specific death were the main outcome *** and multivariate analyses were performed by the Kaplan-Meier method and a Cox proportional hazard ***:This retrospective cohort study included 45 patients with pathologically confirmed LGACC between January 2008 and June ***(T)classification(P=0.005),nodal metastasis(N)classification(P=0.018)and positive margin(P=0.008)were independent risk factors of recurrence;T(P=0.013)and N(P=0.003)classification and the basaloid tumor type(P=0.032)were independent risk factors for metastasis;T classification(PluSION:Histological subtype should be emphasized when evaluating prognosis and guiding *** radiotherapy may reduce the risk of metastasis in patients with basaloid component.

Dear Editor,The common marmoset(Callithrix jacchus),a small New World monkey species,is considered an ideal non-human primate model for studying the evolution and neural mechanism of vocal behavior due to their rich call repertoire and vocal communication[1-3].Especially,the early vocal development of marmoset monkeys has attracted much attention,because newborn marmosets have been shown to exhibit a vocal development *** two months after birth,marmosets'vocalizations undergo dramatic changes from cries to adult-like mature calls,a process that is influenced not only by inner physical maturation but also by parental care and feedback[4].

The rich phase behavior of block copolymers(BCPs)has drawn great attention in recent ***,the double diamond(DD)phase is rarely obtained because of the competition between the minimization of interfacial energy and packing ***,a rod-coil BCP containing mesogen-jacketed liquid crystalline polymer is designed to acquire ordered bicontinuous network *** reduction of internal energy originating from the orientational interaction among the rod blocks can compensate for the free energy penalty of packing frustration to stabilize the DD *** resulting BCP can also experience lamellae-to-DD and double gyroid-to-lamellae transitions by changing the annealing *** results make the rod-coil BCP an excellent candidate for the self-assembly of ordered network structures,demonstrating great potential in nanopatterning and metamaterials.

Method for the real-time detection of tomato ripeness using a phenotype robot and RP-YolactEdge

In order to address the challenge of non-destructive detection of tomato fruit ripeness in controlled environments,this study proposed a real-time instance segmentation method based on the edge *** method combined the principles of phenotype robots and machine vision based on deep learning.A compact and remotely controllable phenotype detection robot was employed to acquire precise data on tomato *** video data were then processed by using an efficient backbone and the FeatFlowNet structure for feature extraction and analysis of key-frame to non-key-frame mapping from video *** enhance the diversity of training datasets and the generalization of the model,an innovative approach was chosen by using random enhancement ***,the PolyLoss optimization technique was applied to further improve the accuracy of the ripeness multi-class detection *** validation,the method of this study achieved real-time processing speeds of 90.1 fps(RTX 3070Ti)and 65.5 fps(RTX 2060 S),with an average detection accuracy of 97%compared to manually measured *** is more accurate and efficient than other instance segmentation models according to actual testing in a ***,the results of this research can be deployed in edge devices and provide technical support for unmanned greenhouse monitoring devices or fruit-picking robots in facility environments.

Eurasian otters prefer to prey on religious released nonnative fish on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau

Religious wildlife release is prevalent worldwide,especially in Asia *** is one of the anthropogenic pathways to cause biological *** fish release is common on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau,yet few studies have assessed the influences of religious fish release on local ***,a city on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau,we interviewedlocal people,conducted fish trap surveys in local rivers,and exam-ined the diet of Eurasian otters lutra lutra using a fecal DNA metabarcoding *** found that fish release started at least in 1980-1990s in *** residents released fish in large amounts and released fish were usually exotic commercial fish purchased from *** such long-term and intensive fish release activities,released fish were few in local *** the other hand,Eurasian otters mainly prey on fish and released fish accounted for~20%of relative read abundance of prey DNA in otters'diet,indicating their high preference on released *** study suggested that religious fish release may provide additional food resources for otters,whereas otters,as a top predator in local rivers,may deplete non-native fish once they were released and,therefore,reduce the probability of colonization of released fish,although further studies are required to assess otters'*** study revealed otters'diet in Yushu,providing basic information for local otter management and ***,it represents a case showing that native predators prey on religious released animals,implying a probable direction forcontrolling invasive species through nativepredator conservation.
