Oxidation resistant low-alloyed Ti alloys with good ductility

Oxidation resistance enhancement of pure Ti often comes at the cost of reduced ductility,which is frequently the problem through alloying with sole Al,Si,W,Mo and *** overcome the short coming of single element alloying,this paper proposes a multi-element low-alloying strategy to take advantage of synergistic effects and resolve the conflict between oxidation resistance and *** demonstrates that the addition of a small quantity of Ta(0.51wt%)can boost both oxidation resistance and ductility in comparison to pure ***,the combined addition of a small amount(0.54 wt%)of Ta,Nb and Si not only preserves good ductility of pure Ti,but also reduces mass gains to 14%-67%of pure Ti during 100 h oxidation at 650-850℃in *** indicates even better oxidation resistance than that obtained through the use of Ta,Nb,or Nb+Ta *** Ta+Nb+Si alloying creates an oxide layer that is less porous and more resistant to stratification and ***,a 3-μm N-rich layer can form in the Ti substrate beneath the oxide scale,in which phase transformation generates coherent Ti_(2)N with(0001)_(Ti)as the habit plane,with N atoms prefers to diffuse along■than along[0001]_(Ti).The completely transformed Ti_(2)N region or partially transformed Ti+Ti_(2)N region can effectively impede oxygen ***,the multielement low-alloying strategy is promising for enhancing both oxidation resistance and mechanical properties of metallic materials in the future.

Antimony-based materials with high capacities and moderate potentials are promising anodes for lithium-/-sodium-ion ***,their tremendous volume expansion and inferior conductivity lead to poor structural stability and sluggish reaction ***,a doubleconfined nanoheterostructure Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)@Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)@C has been fabricated through a solvothermal method followed by low-temperature heat *** dual protection of“MXene”and“carbon”can better accommodate the volume expansion of Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3).The strong covalent bond(Ti-S,Ti-O-Sb,C-O-Sb)can firmly integrate Sb-based material with Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)and carbon,which significantly improves the structure *** addition,the carbon layer can restrain the oxidation of MXenes,and the nano-Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)can facilitate electron/ion transport and suppress the restacking of *** heterogeneous interface between Sb and Sb_(2)S_(3)can further promote interfacial charge *** MXene-Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)@C-1 with the optimal Sb content shows high specific capacities,comparable rate properties and ultra-stable cycling performances(250 m Ah·g^(-1)after 2500 cycles at 1 A·g^(-1)for sodium-ion batteries).Ex situ X-ray diffractometer(XRD)test reveals the storage mechanism including the conversion and alloying process of MXene-Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)@*** voltammetry(CV)test results demonstrate that the pseudocapacitance behavior is dominant in MXene-Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)@C-1,especially at large *** design paves the way for exploring high-performance alloy-based/conversion-type anode for energy storage devices.

Thyroid nodules are a common clinical problem caused by various factors,including environmental and nutritional factors and genetic *** environment can modulate and influence not only the risk of thyroid nodules but also the severity of disease in humans[1].The environment is awash with elements,and all mineral elements,including heavy metals and trace elements,are considered potentially toxic.A significantly higher incidence of thyroid cancer has been reported in populations exposed to low doses of metallic elements in volcanic areas over a long period[2].As research on thyroid disorders continues,it is becoming clear that abnormalities in trace elements in the body can affect the development of thyroid-related disorders.

Flocking of a Cucker–Smale Type Model with Compactly Supported Interaction Functions

How to analyze flocking behaviors of a multi-agent system with local interaction functions is a challenging problem in *** and Tadmor in 2011 also stressed the significance to assume that the interaction function is rapidly decaying or cut-off at a finite distance(*** and Tadmor in ***.2011).In this paper,we study the flocking behavior of a Cucker–Smale type model with compactly supported interaction *** properties of a connected stochastic matrix,together with an elaborate analysis on perturbations of a linearized system,we obtain a sufficient condition imposed only on model parameters and initial data to guarantee ***,it is shown that the system achieves flocking at an exponential rate.

Revealing effect of Al content on oxidation of novel Co-Cr-Nb-W carbide-strengthened superalloy

The high-temperature oxidation behavior of novel Co-Cr-Nb-W carbide-strengthened wear-resistance alloys with different Al contents(1wt%,2wt%and 3wt%)at 950,1000 and 1050℃was thoroughly investigated by scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and field emission electron probe *** porous property of NbC in-situ oxidation products(Nb_(2)O_(5),Co Nb_(2)O_(6)and Co_(4)Nb_(2)O_(9))induces a multi-layered oxide scale with micropores and ***-Cr-Nb-W alloy with 1 wt%Al undergoes catastrophic oxidation and spalling above 1000℃.The outward transportation of Cr and Co is effectively restrained by a continuous Al_(2)O_(3)scale formed around NbC in-situ oxidation region when Al content reaches 3 wt%.Theβ-Co Al in Co-Cr-Nb-W alloy with 3 wt%Al has an oxidation priority over eutectic carbides and the alloy matrix which are both enriched with Cr,thereby preventing the formation of Cr-depletion area and improving the self-healing ability of the oxide film.A slight change in Al content has a remarkable influence on the cooperative effect of Al and Cr and multiplies the antioxidant capacity of Co-Cr-Nb-W alloy above 1000℃.

A new integrated model of deformation resistance and its application in prediction of rolling force of a thick plate

The prediction accuracy of existing models of the rolling force of a thick plate is always very *** address this problem,a high-precision genetic algorithm-backpropagation network(GA-BP)model of deformation resistance was built,and its integration with the traditional fitted model was further ***,a novel rolling force model was obtained by embedding the integration model of deformation resistance in the original model of rolling *** to this research idea,the industrial data are normalized at *** this basis,the interactions among the process parameters were disclosed through the variance analysis,and then described by various virtual *** factors are set as part of input ***,the optimal structure of the GA-BP model of deformation resistance was determined and an integration model of deformation resistance was ***,a novel rolling force model is obtained by substituting the traditional fitted deformation resistance into the Sims model with the integration model of the deformation *** results proves that the introduction of virtual factors can increase the hit rate of±5%from 75.8%to 78%and can reduce the root mean square error from 4.72%to 4.48%.Besides,it is found that the mean relative error of the traditional fitted deformation resistance is 0.142,while that of the modified deformation resistance is only *** addition,the mean relative error in the original rolling force model is 0.145,while that of the present model is only 0.03.

Objective To investigate the protective effect of n-butanol extract from the roots of Potentilla anserina (NP) on hypoxic hippocampal neurons in neonatal rats. Methods Primary cultured hippocampal neurons were pretreated with different concentration of NP (0.25, 0.0625, and 0.0156 mg/mL) before incubation in a low oxygen (0.1%) environment for 4 h. Cell viability was evaluated by Trypan blue staining assay. Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) released by neurons into the medium was measured. The activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) in cell cytosol was determined using nitroblue tetrazolium. Morphological changes and mitochondrial function were observed by transmission electron microscopy. Results Hypoxic injury could decrease the cells viability of neuron, enhance LDH release (P lity, decreased LDH release (P < 0.05), promoted SOD activity (P < 0.05), and remarkably improved cellular ultra-microstructure compared with the model group. Conclusion NP could protect the primary hippocampal neurons from hypoxic injury by attenuating mitochondrial cell death.

With the increasing demand for scalable and cost-effective electrochemical energy storage,aqueous zinc ion batteries(AZIBs)have a broad application prospect as an inexpensive,efficient,and naturally secure energy storage ***,the limitations suffered by AZIBs,including volume expansion and active materials dissolution of the cathode,electrochemical corrosion,irreversible side reactions,zinc dendrites of the anode,have seriously decelerated the civilianization process of ***,polymers have tremendous superiority for application in AZIBs attributed to their exceptional chemical stability,tunable structure,high energy density and outstanding mechanical *** the expanding applications of AZIBs and the superiority of polymers,this comprehensive paper meticulously reviews the benefits of utilizing polymeric applied to cathodes and anodes,*** begin with,with adjustable structure as an entry point,the correlation between polymer structure and the function of energy storage as well as optimization is deeply investigated in respect to the ***,depending on the diversity of properties and structures,the development of polymers in AZIBs is summarized,including conductive polymers,redox polymers as well as carbon composite polymers for cathode and polyvinylidene fluoride-,carbonyl-,amino-,nitrile-based polymers for anode,and a comprehensive evaluation of the shortcomings of these strategies is ***,an outlook highlights some of the challenges posed by the application of polymers and offers insights into the potential future direction of polymers in *** is designed to provide a thorough reference for researchers and developers working on polymer for AZIBs.

Experimental and numerical investigation of two blended blade and endwall configurations

The Blended Blade and Endwall(BBEW)technique has proven to be effective in control-ling the intersection of boundary layer in corner region of the compressor *** this study,the experiment and analysis of two different BBEW designs are ***,based on a linear cas-cade with 0.7 Mach number inflow,two different configurations,BBEW 1 and BBEW 2,are well ***,according to the experimental result,control effects of these two BBEW configu-rations are validated and compared subsequently under various working *** results demonstrate a reduction in total pressure loss of 12.8%and 29%at the design point for BBEW 1 and BBEW 2,***,the BBEW technique proves effective in suppressing the development of the boundary layer and preventing corner *** by detailed numerical analysis,improvements around the corner region,especially for the boundary layer,are extracted to show the mechanisms and distinctions between the two *** results indicate that BBEW 1 significantly restrains the development of boundary layer before separation occurs,while BBEW 2 directly controls the strength and scale of the corner separation.

Compared with electrical neural networks,optical neural networks(ONNs)have the potentials to break the limit of the bandwidth and reduce the consumption of energy,and therefore draw much attention in recent *** far,several types of ONNs have been ***,the current ONNs cannot realize the acceleration as powerful as that indicated by the models like quantum neural *** to construct and realize an ONN with the quantum speedup is a huge ***,we propose theoretically and demonstrate experimentally a new type of optical convolutional neural network by introducing the optical *** is called the correlated optical convolutional neural network(COCNN).We show that the COCNN can exhibit“quantum speedup”in the training *** character is verified from the two *** is the direct illustration of the faster convergence by comparing the loss function curves of the COCNN with that of the traditional convolutional neural network(CNN).Such a result is compatible with the training performance of the recently proposed quantum convolutional neural network(QCNN).The other is the demonstration of the COCNN’s capability to perform the QCNN phase recognition circuit,validating the connection between the COCNN and the ***,we take the COCNN analog to the 3-qubit QCNN phase recognition circuit as an example and perform an experiment to show the soundness and the feasibility of *** results perfectly match the theoretical *** proposal opens up a new avenue for realizing the ONNs with the quantum speedup,which will benefit the information processing in the era of big data.
