Heart rate distribution and predictors of resting heart rate after initiation of beta-blocker treatment in patients with coronary artery disease： REsults of Sympathetic Evaluation And Research of China （RESEARCH） study

Background The importance of heart rate as secondary prevention strategies for patients with coronary artery disease （CAD） is emphasized by multiple guidelines. However, limited information is available on the heart rate distribution and the change patterns of resting heart rate when initiating beta-blocker therapy among Chinese patients with CAD. Methods The REsults of Sympathetic Evaluation And Research of China （RESEARCH） study is a multi-centre, prospective, observational study involving 147 centers in 23 cities across China. All eligible beta-blocker naive patients were prescribed with metroprolol succinate. Initial dosage and target heart rate were selected at the discretion of their physicians in charge according to their usual institutional practice. The heart rate distribution and the change patterns of resting heart rate after initiation of beta-blocker therapy were observed. Results The majority of patients （63.6%） were prescribed with 47.5 mg metroprolol succinate. At baseline, there were only 17.4% of patients whose heart rate was less than 70 beats per minute, and the proportion reached 42.5% and 79.1%, one month and two months after initiation of beta-blockers, respectively. Multivariate linear regression analysis showed that baseline heart rate （B=0.900, SE=0.006, t=141.787, P〈0.0001） and the dosage （B=-0.007, SE=0.002, t=-3.242, P=0.001） were independent predictors of resting heart rate 2 months after beta-blocker therapy. Conclusions Resting heart rate is not optimally controlled in a broadly representative cohort of Chinese outpatients with CAD even after initiation of β-blocker therapy, and baseline heart rate and the dosage of beta-blocker are both independent predictors of resting heart rate after β-blocker therapy.

Prostate cancer risk and aggressiveness associated with the CYPIB1 4326C/G （Leu432Val） polymorphism： a meta-analysis of 2788 cases and 2968 controls

To derive a precise estimation of the associations between the cytochrome P450 1B 1 （CYPIB1） 4326C/G variants and prostate cancer （PCa） risk or aggressiveness, a meta-analysis was performed using all eligible published studies. Odds ratios （ORs） with 95% confidence intervals （CIs） were estimated to assess the association in seven literature studies with 2788 cases and 2968 controls. In the overall analysis, no significant association was found between the CYPIB1 4326C/G polymorphism and PCa risk, but ethnicity subgroup analyses and a case-source analysis revealed significant associations. The 4326G allele showed a significant association with increased PCa risk in Asians （OR= 1.52, 95% Ch 1.20-1.92）, and significant associations were also observed in a heterozygote comparison （OR= 1.40, 95% Ch 1.03-1.89）, a homozygote comparison （0R=2.38, 95% Ch 1.31-4.33） and in a dominant genetic model （OR = 1.52, 95% Ch 1.14-2.01）. Moreover, the 4326G allele was also significantly correlated with an increased risk of sporadic PCa （OR= 1.13, 95% Ch 1.04-1.24）, and significant associations were observed in a heterozygote comparison （OR= 1.16, 95% Ch 1.02-1.33）, a homozygote comparison （OR= 1.24, 95% Ch 1.03-1.49） and a dominant genetic model （OR= 1.19, 95% Ch 1.05- 1.34）. The overall analyses and all subgroup analyses showed no significant association between the 4326C/G polymorphism and PCa aggressiveness. Our meta-analysis showed that CYPIB1 4326G allele is significantly associated with an increased PCa risk in Asians and in sporadic PCa cases.

Mixed Dead-time Effect Suppression Strategy for Modular Multilevel Converters

Dead time is necessary for the coupled power switches to prevent shoot-through,especially in the modular multilevel converters(MMCs)with a large number of power *** paper proposes a dead-time effect suppression strategy for MMCs with nearest level *** operational principles of MMCs are first *** to the operational features of MMCs,the method that removes a switching signal from the coupled switches and the reduced switching frequency voltage balancing algorithms(RSFVBAs)are mixed in the proposed *** the intervals that are furthest away from the zerocrossing points(ZCP)of arm currents,the single switching signal method can completely eliminate the dead-time effect(DTE).Alternatively,the DTE is suppressed by the RSFVBA in intervals that are close to the *** the combination of the two methods,the dependence of the DTE suppression method on currents is reduced and the influences of ZCP are also released without degrading the normal operation performance of ***,the output performance of MMCs is improved and the voltage stress on the arm inductor dramatically ***,the validation of the method is verified by the simulation results with the professional tool Matlab/Simulink.

AIM to investigate the molecular mechanisms of gastric *** We used label-free quantification technology integrated with liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(Lc-m S/m S) analysis to identify differentially expressed proteins in 160 specimens of normal gastric mucosa,gastric mucosa with mild dysplasia,moderate dysplasia,severe dysplasia,and early mucosal gastric cancer(Gc) collected at the Second Hospital of Lanzhou University from 2010 to 2015. Immunohistochemistry was used to verify the differentially expressed proteins detected by Lc-m S/m *** With a threshold of a 1.2-fold change and a P-valuehange. the expression patterns of Er GIc1 and DNA-PKcs revealed by immunohistochemistry were consistent with the Lc-m S/m S *** the results suggest that aberrant Er GIc1 and DNAPKcs expression may be involved in Gc initiation.

Study of primordial deuterium abundance in Big Bang nucleosynthesis

Big Bang nucleosynthesis(BBN)theory predicts the primordial abundances of the light elements^(2) H(referred to as deuterium,or D for short),^(3)He,^(4)He,and^(7) Li produced in the early *** these,deuterium,the first nuclide produced by BBN,is a key primordial material for subsequent *** date,the uncertainty in predicted deuterium abundance(D/H)remains larger than the observational *** this study,the Monte Carlo simulation code PRIMAT was used to investigate the sensitivity of 11 important BBN reactions to deuterium *** found that the reaction rate uncertainties of the four reactions d(d,n)^(3)He,d(d,p)t,d(p,γ)^(3)He,and p(n,γ)d had the largest influence on the calculated D/H ***,the calculated D/H uncertainty cannot reach observational precision even with the recent LUNA precise d(p,γ)^(3) He *** the nuclear physics aspect,there is still room to largely reduce the reaction-rate uncertainties;hence,further measurements of the important reactions involved in BBN are still necessary.A photodisintegration experiment will be conducted at the Shanghai Laser Electron Gamma Source Facility to precisely study the deuterium production reaction of p(n,γ)d.

Currentless Multiple Switch Open-Circuit Faults Diagnosis for Modular Multilevel Converters with Nearest Level Modulation in HVDC Systems

Due to the large number of submodules(SMs),and modular multilevel converters(MMCs)in high-voltage applications,they are usually regulated by the nearest level modulation(NLM).Moreover,the large number of SMs causes a challenge for the fault diagnosis strategy(FDS).This paper proposes a currentless FDS for MMC with *** FDS,the voltage sensor is relocated to measure the output voltage of the *** acquire the capacitor voltage and avoid increasing extra sensors,a capacitor voltage calculation method is *** on the measurement of output voltages,the faults can be detected and the number of different-type switch open-circuit faults can be confirmed from the numerous SMs in an arm,which narrows the scope of fault ***,the faulty SMs and faulty switches in these SMs are further located without arm current according to the sorting of capacitor voltages in the voltage balancing *** FDS is independent of the arm current,which can reduce the communication cost in the hierarchical control system of ***,the proposed FDS not only simplifies the identification of switch open-circuit faults by confirming the scope of faults,but also detects and locates multiple different-type faults in an *** effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified by the simulation results.

Product quality prediction based on RBF optimized by firefly algorithm

With the development of information technology,a large number of product quality data in the entire manufacturing process is accumulated,but it is not explored and used *** traditional product quality prediction models have many disadvantages,such as high complexity and low *** overcome the above problems,we propose an optimized data equalization method to pre-process dataset and design a simple but effective product quality prediction model:radial basis function model optimized by the firefly algorithm with Levy flight mechanism(RBFFALM).First,the new data equalization method is introduced to pre-process the dataset,which reduces the dimension of the data,removes redundant features,and improves the data *** the RBFFALFM is used to predict product *** expe riments conducted on real-world product quality datasets validate that the new model RBFFALFM combining with the new data pre-processing method outperforms other previous me thods on predicting product quality.

Prediction of lime utilization ratio of dephosphorization in BOF steelmaking based on online sequential extreme learning machine with forgetting mechanism

The machine learning models of multiple linear regression(MLR),support vector regression(SVR),and extreme learning ma-chine(ELM)and the proposed ELM models of online sequential ELM(OS-ELM)and OS-ELM with forgetting mechanism(FOS-ELM)are applied in the prediction of the lime utilization ratio of dephosphorization in the basic oxygen furnace steelmaking *** ELM model exhibites the best performance compared with the models of MLR and ***-ELM and FOS-ELM are applied for sequential learning and model *** optimal number of samples in validity term of the FOS-ELM model is determined to be 1500,with the smallest population mean absolute relative error(MARE)value of 0.058226 for the *** variable importance analysis reveals lime weight,initial P content,and hot metal weight as the most important variables for the lime utilization *** lime utilization ratio increases with the decrease in lime weight and the increases in the initial P content and hot metal weight.A prediction system based on FOS-ELM is applied in actual industrial production for one *** hit ratios of the predicted lime utilization ratio in the error ranges of±1%,±3%,and±5%are 61.16%,90.63%,and 94.11%,*** coefficient of determination,MARE,and root mean square error are 0.8670,0.06823,and 1.4265,*** system exhibits desirable performance for applications in actual industrial pro-duction.
