The commercialization of lithium-sulfur (li-S) battery could be accelerated by designing advanced sulfur cathode with high sulfur utilization and stable cycle life at a high sulfur loading. To allow the energy density of li-S batteries comparable to that of commercial li-ion batteries, the areal capacity of sulfur cathode should be above 4 mA·h·cm−2. In general, a high sulfur loading often causes rapid capacity fading by slowing electron/ion transport kinetics, catastrophic shuttle effect and even cracking the electrodes. To address this issue, herein, a multilevel structured carbon film is built by covering highly conductive CNTs and hollow carbon nanofiber together with carbon layer via chemical vapor deposition. The self-standing carbon film exhibits well-interweaved conductive network, hollow fibrous structure and abundant N, O co-doped active sites, which combine the merits of high electronic conductivity (1200·S·m−1), high porosity and polar characteristic in one host. Benefiting from this attractive multilevel structure, the obtained sulfur cathode based on the carbon film host shows an ultra-high areal capacity of 8.9 mA·h·cm−2 at 0.2 C with outstanding cyclability over 60 cycles. This work shed light on designing advanced sulfur host for li-S batteries with high areal capacity and high cycle stability, and might make a contribution to the commercialization of li-S batteries.

A novel covalently modified glassy carbon electrode with β-cyclodextrin was prepared via electropolymerization technique for the simultaneous determination of uric acid（UA）,xanthine（XA）,hypoxanthine（HX） and dopamine（da）.This new electrode presented an excellent electrocatalytic activity towards the oxidation of UA,XA,HX and da by cyclic voltammetry（CV） *** oxidation peaks of the four compounds were well defined and had the enhanced peak *** separation potentials of the oxidation peaks for da-UA,UA-XA and XA-HX were 150,390 and 360 mV in CV,*** means of differential pulse voltammetry（DPV） method,the calibration curves in the ranges of 10―225,5―105,10―170 and 5―150 μmol/L were obtained for UA,XA,HX and da,*** lowest detection limits（S/N=3） were 5,1.25,5 and 1.5 μmol/L for UA,XA,HX and da,*** practical application of the modified electrode was demonstrated by the determination of da in hydrochloride injection and UA,XA,HX in human urine samples.

Intraspecific competition is a common phenomenon in agricultural production,and maize is one of the most sensitive grass species to intraspecific competition due to its low tillering *** study evaluated and analyzed intraspecific competition in maize,and screened competitive indices that could be used to evaluate intraspecific competition in a maize population.A 2-year field experiment was conducted using the maize hybrid Zhongdan 2 at 12 plant densities ranging from 1.5 to 18.0 plants（pl）*** results showed that the response of single-plant grain yield and dry matter at harvest to increased plant density decreased exponentially and that the harvest index decreased *** response of population-level grain yield to plant density was curvilinear,producing a maximum value at the optimum population ***,the yielddensity equation agreed well with the Steinhart-Hart equation curves,but not with the quadratic equation curves reported by most previous *** indices are used to evaluate competition in a plant population or plant *** present results show that competitive intensity（CI）and absolute severity of competition（ASC）increased with increasing plant density;however,relative yield（RY）and relative reproductive efficiency（RReff）*** different responses of these indices reflect different aspects of *** to the analysis of CI,ASC,RY,and RReff,higher CI and ASC values indicate higher intraspecific competition,whereas higher RY and RReff values indirectly reflect lower intraspecific *** competitive indices evaluate not only the intraspecific competitive intensity under different plant densities of the same cultivar but also those of different cultivars under the same plant ***,some overlap exists in the calculations of ASC,CI,and RY,so one could simply select any one of these indices to evaluate intraspecific competition in a maize *** conclusion,the present study

The hot deformation behavior of Al-Cu-li alloy was investigated by hot compression tests in the temperature range of 340-500℃ with strain rate of 0.001-10.000 s^(-1).Based on the dynamic materials model(DMM),processing maps of the test alloy were developed for optimizing hot processing *** optimum parameters of hot deformation for Al-Cu-li alloy are at temperature of 400-430℃and strain rate of about 0.100 s^(-1),with efficiency of power dissipation of around 30%.The microstructural manifestation of the alloy deformed in instability domains is flow localization,and dynamic softening first occurs in flow localizations *** stable domains,dynamic recovery(DRV) and dynamic recrystallization(DRX) are the main microstructural evolution *** is gradually strengthened with the increase in deformation temperature and the decrease in strain *** hot deformation,the DRX mechanism of Al-Cu-li alloy is dominated by continuous DRX(CDRX).A DRX model of Al-Cu-li alloy is proposed based on the microstructural evolution process of the test alloy.

Understanding the mechanical properties of the lithologies is crucial to accurately determine the horizontal stress *** investigate the correlation between the rock mass properties and maximum horizontal stress,the three-dimensional(3D)stress tensors at 89 measuring points determined using an improved overcoring technique in nine mines in China were adopted,a newly defined characteristic parameter C_(ERP)was proposed as an indicator for evaluating the structural properties of rock masses,and a fuzzy relation matrix was established using the information distribution *** results indicate that both the vertical stress and horizontal stress exhibit a good linear growth relationship with *** is no remarkable correlation between the elastic modulus,Poisson's ratio and depth,and the distribution of data points is scattered and ***,there is no obvious relationship between the rock quality designation(RQD)and *** maximum horizontal stress σ_(H) is a function of rock properties,showing a certain linear relationship with the C_(ERP)at the same *** addition,the overall change trend of σ_(H) determined by the established fuzzy identification method is to increase with the increase of C_(ERP).The fuzzy identification method also demonstrates a relatively detailed local relationship betweenσ_H and C_(ERP),and the predicted curve rises in a fluctuating way,which is in accord well with the measured stress data.

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries （AZIBs） are fundamentally challenged by the instability of the electrode/electrolyte interface,predominantly due to irreversible zinc （Zn） deposition and hydrogen ***,the intricate mechanisms behind the electrochemical discrepancies induced by interfacial Zn2+-solvation and deposition behavior demand comprehensive *** molecules endowed with special functional groups （such as hydroxyl,carboxyl,etc.） have the potential to significantly optimize the solvation structure of Zn2+and regulate the interfacial electric double layer （EDL）.By increasing nucleation overpotential and decreasing interfacial free energy,these functional groups facilitate a lower critical nucleation radius,thereby forming an asymptotic nucleation model to promote uniform Zn ***,this study presents a pioneering approach by introducing trace amounts of n-butanol as solvation regulators to engineer the homogenized Zn （H-Zn） anode with a uniform and dense *** interfacial reaction and structure evolution are explored by in/ex-situ experimental techniques,indicating that the H-Zn anode exhibits dendrite-free growth,no by-products,and weak hydrogen evolution,in sharp contrast to the bare ***,the H-Zn anode achieves a remarkable Zn utilization rate of approximately 20% and simultaneously sustains a prolonged cycle life exceeding 500 ***,the H-Zn//NH4V4O10（NVO） full battery showcases exceptional cycle stability,retaining 95.04%capacity retention after 400 cycles at a large current density of 5 A *** study enlightens solvation-regulated additives to develop Zn anode with superior utilization efficiency and extended operational lifespan.

One-pot synthesis of li_3VO_4@C nanofibers by electrospinning with enhanced electrochemical performance for lithium-ion batteries

Electrospinning is firstly used to one-pot synthesis of li3VO4@C nanofibers in a large scale. Although with the presence of organic sources in synthesis process, the pure phase li3VO4 with superior nanofibrous morphology is still successfully obtained through adjusting different heat treatment processes and different vanadium sources. The prepared li3VO4@C nanofibers exhibit a unique structure in which nanosized li3VO4 particles are uniformly embedded in amorphous carbon matrix. Compared with liBVO4/C powder, li3VO4@C nanofibers display enhanced reversible capacity of 451 mAhg^-1 at 40mAg^-1 with an increased initial coulombic efficiency of 82.3%, and the capacity can remain at 394 mAh g ^-1 after 100 cycles. This superior electrochemical performance can be attributed to its unique structure which ensures a high reactivity by nanosized li3VO4, more stable electrode/electrolyte interface by carbon encapsulation, improved electronic conductivity and buffered volume changes by flexible carbon matrix. The electrospinning technology provides an effective method to obtain high performance li3VO4 as a promising anode material for lithium-ion batteries.
