To improve the performances of HDPE-based separators, polyether chains were incorporated into HDPE membranes by blending with poly（ethylene-block-ethylene glycol）（PE-b-PEG） via thermally induced phase separation （TIPS） process. By measuring the composition, morphology, crystallinity, ion conductivity, etc, the influence of PE-b-PEG on structures and properties of the blend separator were investigated. It was found that the incorporated PEG chains yielded higher surface energy for HDPE separator and improved affinity to liquid electrolyte. Thus, the stability of liquid electrolyte trapped in separator was increased while the interfacial resistance between separator and electrode was reduced effectively. The ionic conductivity of liquid electrolyte soaked separator could reach 1.28 ×10^-3 ***^-1 at 25℃, and the electrochemical stability window was up to 4.5 V （versus li^＋/li）. These results revealed that blending PE-b-PEG into porous HDPE membranes could efficiently improve the performances of PE separators for lithium batteries.

AIM: To evaluate the toxicity of endogeneous peroxynitrite on transplanted retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) sheets and the effect of puerarin on their survival in the C57BL/6 mice after RPE sheets have been transplanted into SD rats' subretinal space. METHODS: C57BL/6 mice eyes were used to culture RPE cells. Ninety-six SD rats were involved in the experiment. They were divided into control( block control), streptozotocin (STZ, negative control), untransplanted RPE (positive control) and transplanted RPE groups respectively. Diabetes was induced in SD rats by intra-peritoneal STZ injection in the latter three groups. Saline was injected into the subretinal space of 24 SD rats in the untransplanted RPE group and primary RPE sheets were injected into the subretinal space of 24 SD rats in the transplanted RPE group. Puerarin (45 mg/kg) was administrated into both untransplanted RPE and transplanted RPE groups of diabetic rats through intra-peritoneal injection route after RPE sheets transplantation. At 20,40,60 days after surgery, Western blotting analysis, DNA ladder and RT-PCR were used for determining the differences in expression of nitrotyrosine (NT, the foot print of peroxynitrite), apoptosis and iNOS mRNA in the control, STZ, untransplanted RPE and transplanted RPE groups respectively. HE staining was used for determining the RPE survival in the subretinal space of the transplanted RPE group. RESULTS: Apoptosis and expression of NT and iNOS mRNA were observed in STZ, untransplanted RPE and transplanted RPE groups, but were delayed in untransplanted RPE and transplanted RPE groups in a time-dependent manner compared with control and STZ groups (P 0.01). NT, DNA ladder, iNOS mRNA were down-regulated, which were associated with the decrease of expression of peroxynitrite. Background:Insomnia is a prevalent clinical condition and Shangxia liangji formula(SXLJF)is a well-established method of ***,the specific mechanism of action of SXLJF remains ***:The mouse model of insomnia was established by intraperitoneal injection of ***-two mice were randomly divided into a negative control group,model group,SXLJF group(18.72 g/kg/day),and positive control group(diazepam,2 mg/kg)and treated with the corresponding drugs for 7 consecutive *** open field test and pentobarbital-induced sleeping test were ***-MS-based untargeted metabolomics and network pharmacology were applied to explore the potential targets of SXLJF for treating ***,key targets were validated using ***:Behavioral tests demonstrated that SXLJF reduced the total distance,average velocity,central distance,and sleep latency,and prolonged sleep *** and network pharmacology revealed potential targets,signaling pathways,metabolic pathways,and metabolites associated with the anti-insomnia effects of ***,tyrosine hydroxylase(TH)and tyrosine metabolism emerged as crucial metabolic pathways and targets,***-qPCR results supported the role of TH in the mechanism of SXLJF in treating ***:In conclusion,TH and tyrosine metabolism may represent significant targets and pathways for SXLJF in treating insomnia.

Fe-Ni films with compositions of 73 wt% of Ni and 45 wt% of Ni were used as under bump metallization （UBM） in wafer level chip scale package, and their reliability was evaluated through electromigration （EM） test compared with commercial Cu UBM. For ***0.7Cu（SAC）]Cu solder joints, voids had initiated at Cu cathode after 300 h and typical failures of depletion of Cu cathode and cracks were detected after 1000 h EM. While the SAC]Fe-Ni solder joints kept at a perfect condition without any failures after 1000 h EM. Moreover, the characteristic lifetime calculated by Weibull analysis for Fe-73Ni UBM （2121 h）, Fe-45Ni UBM （2340 h） were both over three folds to Cu UBM＇s （698 h）. The failure modes for Fe-Ni solder joints varied with the different growth behavior of intermetallic compounds （IMCs）, which can all be classified as the crack at the cathodic interface between solder and outer IMC layer. The atomic fluxes concerned cathode dissolution and crack initiation were analyzed. When Fe-Ni UBM was added, cathode dissolution was suppressed due to the low diffusivity of IMCs and opposite transferring direction to electron flow of Fe atoms. The smaller EM flux within solder material led a smaller vacancy flux in Fe-Ni solder joints, which can explain the delay of solder voids and cracks as well as the much longer lifetime under EM.

Tin-indium were employed in the propargylations of various aldehydes with propargyl bromide in the presence of SnCl2 and C6H5（CH3）3NBr under microwave irradiation to afford the corresponding homopropargyl alcohols exclusively in high yields. All the reactions were completed smoothly in predominantly aqueous media in 200 seconds only.

With the construction of spatial data infi＇astructure, automated topographic map generalization becomes an indispensable component in the community of cartography and geographic information science. This paper describes a topographic map generalization system recently developed by the authors. The system has the following characteristics： 1） taking advantage of three levels of automation, i.e. fully automated generalization, batch generalization, and interactive generalization, to undertake two types of processes, i.e. intelligent inference process and repetitive operation process in generalization; 2） making use of two kinds of sources for generalizing rule library, i.e. written specifications and cartographers＇ experiences, to define a six-element structure to describe the rules; 3） employing a hierarchical structure for map databases, logically and physically; 4） employing a grid indexing technique and undo/redo operation to improve database retrieval and object generalization efficiency. Two examples of topographic map generalization are given to demonstrate the system. It reveals that the system works well. In fact, this system has been used for a number of projects and it has been found that a great improvement in efficiency compared with traditional map general- ization process can be achieved.

Multi-objective optimization has many important applications and becomes a challenging issue in applied science. In typical multi-objective optimization algorithms, such as Indicator-based Evolutionary Algorithm(IBEA), all of parents and offspring need to be evaluated in every generation, and then the better solutions of them are selected as the next generation candidates. This leads to a large amount of calculation and slows down convergence rate for IBEA related applications. Our discovery is that the evaluation of evolutionary algorithm is a binary classi?cation in nature and a meaningful preselection method will accelerate the convergence rate. Therefore this paper presents a novel preselection approach to improve the performance of the IBEA, in which a SVM(Support Vector Machine) classi?er is adopted to sort the promising solutions from unpromising solutions and then the newly generated solutions are conversely added as train sample to increase the accuracy of the classi?er. Firstly, we proposed an online and asynchronous training method for SVM model with empirical kernel. The initial population is randomly generated among population size, which is used as initial training. In the process of training, SVM classi?er is modi?ed and perfected to adapt to the evolutionary algorithm sample. Secondly, the classi?er divides all the new generated solutions from the whole solution spaces into promising solutions and unpromising ones. And only the promising ones are forwarded for evaluation. In this way, the evaluation time can be greatly reduced and the solution quality can be obviously improved. Thirdly, the promising and unpromising solutions are labeled as new train samples in next generation to re?ne classi?er model. A number of experiments on benchmark functions validates the proposed approach. The results show that IBEA-SVM can signi?cantly outperform previous works.

In this paper, a novel direction of arrival(DOA) estimation algorithm using directional antennas in cylindrical conformal arrays(CCAs) is proposed. To eliminate the shadow effect, we divide the CCAs into several subarrays to obtain the complete output vector. Considering the anisotropic radiation pattern of a CCA, which cannot be separated from the manifold matrix, an improved interpolation method is investigated to transform the directional subarray into omnidirectional virtual nested arrays without non-orthogonal perturbation on the noise vector. Then, the cross-correlation matrix(CCM) of the subarrays is used to generate the consecutive co-arrays without redundant elements and eliminate the noise vector. Finally, the full-rank equivalent covariance matrix is constructed using the output of co-arrays,and the unitary estimation of the signal parameters via rotational invariance techniques(ESPRIT) is performed on the equivalent covariance matrix to estimate the DOAs with low computational complexity. Numerical simulations verify the superior performance of the proposed algorithm, especially under a low signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) environment.

Predicting the future information and recovering the missing data for time series are two vital tasks faced in various application *** are often subjected to big challenges,especially when the signal is nonlinear and nonstationary which is common in *** this paper,we propose a hybrid 2-stage approach,named IF2FNN,to predict(including short-term and long-term predictions)and recover the general types of time *** the first stage,we decompose the original non-stationary series into several“quasi stationary”intrinsic mode functions(IMFs)by the iterative filtering(IF)*** the second stage,all of the IMFs are fed as the inputs to the factorization machine based neural network model to perform the prediction and *** test the strategy on five datasets including an artificial constructed signal(ACS),and four real-world signals:the length of day(LOD),the northern hemisphere land-ocean temperature index(NHLTI),the troposphere monthly mean temperature(TMMT),and the national association of securities dealers automated quotations index(NASDAQ).The results are compared with those obtained from the other prevailing *** experiments indicate that under the same conditions,the proposed method outperforms the others for prediction and recovery according to various metrics such as mean absolute error(MAE),root mean square error(RMSE),and mean absolute percentage error(MAPE).
