A multi-dimensional computational fluid dynamics(CFD) approach was proposed in this study aiming to calculate the transfer matrix of an engine exhaust muffler in the conditions with and without mean *** CFD model of the muffler with absorptive material defined as porous zone was calibrated with the measured noise reduction without mean flow,and was further employed to study the effect of the mean flow on the acoustic performance of the ***,the exhaust acoustical source was derived from the calculated transfer matrices of six different additional acoustic loads obtained by the proposed CFD approach as well as the measured tail noise based on a multiload least squares ***,the exhaust noise was predicted based on Thevenin's *** proposed CFD approach was suggested to be able to predict the acoustic performance of a complex muffler considering mean flow(without and with mean flow) and heat transfer,and provide reasonable results of the exhaust noise.

The binary vapor–liquid equilibrium data of CO_2 in diethylene glycol(monomethyl,monoethyl,monobutyl,dimethyl,diethyl,dibutyl)ether were determined from 288.15 to 318.15 K at pressure up to 6 MPa based on the constant-volume *** was found by contrast that the ether group in solvents can promote the CO_2 absorption,but the hydroxyl group will inhibit the CO_2 ***,the solubilities of CO_2 showed an upward trend with the increasing molecular lengths of *** experimental data were also correlated with a modified Patel–Teja equation of state(PT EOS)combined with the traditional van der Waals one-fluid mixing rules and the results showed a satisfactory agreement between the model and the experimental data.

The local topological properties of black hole systems can be expressed through winding numbers as *** date,AdS black hole thermodynamics are often depicted by the dual parameters of(T,S),(P,V),(Φ,Q) in the extended phase space,while there have been several studies on the black hole thermodynamics in the restricted phase *** this paper,we analyze the topological properties of charged AdS black holes in the restricted phase space under the higher-dimension and higher-order curvature gravity *** results show that the topological number of the charged black hole in the same canonical ensembles is a constant and is independent of the concrete dual thermodynamical ***,the topological number in the grand canonical ensemble is different from that in the canonical ensemble for the same black hole ***,these results are independent of dimension d and highe st order k of the Lanczos-Lovelock densities.

Many species of insect egg can be targeted individually or （and） collectively for cryopreservation by vitrification. However, there has been no report on cryopreservation of honeybee eggs by vitrification. In an attempt to define a preliminary procedure of cryopreservation of honeybee eggs by vitrification, queen honeybee born worker eggs （worker eggs） were stored through vitrification in liquid nitrogen up to 1 h, and then post-vitrification survival of the vitrified worker eggs in vitro and their hatching rates during maturation in vivo were observed using microscopic and close visual inspections. The procedure of cryopreservation by vitrification included dechorionation with sodium hypochlorite and permeabilization with isopropyl alcohol; equilibration by addition of loading solution （i.e., 25% vitrification storage solution） and dehydration by gradual replacement of loading solution with vitrification storage solution; cooling in liquid nitrogen vapor right before droplet vitrification in liquid nitrogen; and recovery in liquid nitrogen vapor right after storage in liquid nitrogen, thawing at temperature of thawing medium （5% sucrose in TC 100-insect medium） and rehydration by gradual replacement of vitrification storage solution with rehydration solution （5% fetal bovine serum in TC 100-insect medium）. It was found that among the worker eggs experiencing cyropreservation by vitrification, 1.25% of them were successfully passed through the four life stages, viz., egg, larva, pupa, and adult. In summary, it can be inferred that although a majority of worker eggs were dead after cyropreservation by vitrification, a few of them were developed into larvae, pupae, and finally emerged as adults.

In this paper,a method about the water-entry slamming of a two-dimensional(2D)bow structure has been proposed based on the experimental and simulation *** to this method,the sensitivity analysis has been carried out about the effect of speed and inclination angle on the slamming pressure of the ***,a 2D ship bow experimental model was performed to obtain the slamming pressure distribution at different measuring points under different ***,numerical simulation for the water-entry slamming of this experimental model was conducted to obtain the pressure distribution on the experimental model under different working ***,the experimental results were compared with the numerical simulation results to evaluate the effect of speed and inclination angle on the slamming pressure of the *** results show that the slamming pressure is more sensitive to speed variation within the low-speed *** effect of inclination angle on the slamming pressure is more obvious in the small angle *** the inclination angle is larger than 45°,the effect is limited.

Percutaneous intraductal radiofrequency ablation for treatment of biliary stent occlusion: A preliminary result

AIM To assess the feasibility and effectiveness of a novel application of percutaneous intraductal radiofrequency (RF) for the treatment of biliary stent obstruction. METHODS We specifically report a retrospective study presenting the results of percutaneous intraductal RF in patients with biliary stent occlusion. A total of 43 cases involving biliary stent obstruction were treated by placing an EndoHPB catheter and percutaneous intraductal RF was performed to clean stents. The stent patency was evaluated by cholangiography and follow-up by contrast enhanced computed tomography or ultrasound after the removal of the drainage catheter. RESULTS Following the procedures, of the 43 patients, 40 survived and 3 died with a median survival of 80.5 (range: 30-243) d. One patient was lost to followup. One patient had the stent patent at the time of last follow-up. Two patients with stent blockage at 35 d and 44 d after procedure underwent percutaneous transhepatic drain insertion only. The levels of bilirubin before and after the procedure were 128 +/- 65 mu mol/L and 63 +/- 29 mu mol/L, respectively. There were no related complications (haemorrhage, bile duct perforation, bile leak or pancreatitis) and all patients' stent patency was confirmed by cholangiography after the procedure, with a median patency time of 107 (range: 12-180) d. CONCluSION This preliminary clinical study demonstrated that percutaneous intraductal RF is safe and effective for the treatment of biliary stent obstruction, increasing the duration of stent patency, although randomized controlled trials are needed to confirm the effectiveness of this approach.
