Respirogram technology has been widely applied for aerobic process, however, the response of respirogram to anoxic denitrification is still unclear. To reveal such response may help to design a new method for the evaluation of the performance of denitrification. The size distribution of flocs measured at different denitrification moments demonstrated a clear expansion of flocs triggered by denitrification, during which higher specific endogenous and quasi-endogenous respiration rates(SOUReand SOURq) were also observed. Furthermore,SOURqincreases exponentially with the specific denitrification rate(SDNR), suggesting that there should be a maximum SDNR in conventional activated sludge systems. Based on these findings, an index Rq/t, defined as the ratio of quasi-endogenous(OURq) to maximum respiration rate(OURt), is proposed to estimate the denitrification capacity that higher Rq/tindicates higher denitrification potential, which can be readily obtained without complex measurement or analysis, and it offers a novel and promising respirogram-based approach for denitrification estimation and control by taking measures to extend anoxic time to maintain its value at a high level within a certain range.

Cancer is a predominant culprit behind worldwide death and accounts for up to 10 million deaths every year.Chemotherapy is the primary therapeutic method employed for cancer in clinical settings and is essential in controlling tumor progression.Despite the advances in this field,tumor invasion and metastasis during treatment remain a significant cause of treatment failure.Nevertheless,the underlying mechanisms involving such a disappointing phenomenon are still not fully elucidated.Vinorelbine(VNB)extends the lifespan of many cancer patients in the clinic as an emerging chemotherapy drug approved by Food and Drug Administration(FDA).However,VNB-induced tumor metastasis is still an intractable problem,which may be closely related to the abnormal oxidative stress generated during VNB-mediated treatment.Hence,the study aims to construct a reductive nanosystem loaded with VNB,called VNB-VNP,to improve cancer cure rates and reduce tumor metastasis.With the reductive component vitamin E,VNB-VNP can effectively reduce oxidative stress and significantly outperform free VNB in preventing tumor progression.The transcriptome analysis shows that VNB-VNP can alleviate the over-expression of ectonucleotide pyrophosphatase/phosphodiesterase 2(ENPP2),which may be the main reason why VNB-VNP can inhibit tumor invasion and metastasis.Overall,the research designs a new platform for VNB treatment,which demonstrates promising efficacy in inhibiting neoplastic progression and identifies a new mechanism associated with VNB-induced tumor metastasis,which may offer several valuable references for enhancing chemotherapy efficacy in clinical anti-tumor therapy.

Tuning of activated sludge in winter based on respirogram profiles under standard and site temperatures

Respirograms of activated sludge OUR_ x^Tand OUR_x^(20)were measured under site(T) and standard(20°C) temperatures, respectively, and the predicted standard temperature respirogram OUR_( x,cal)^(20)was also calculated using the Arrhenius equation. These respirogram profiles reveal more information than effluent quality. A decrease of OUR_ x ^(20)is a critical alarm signal for the loss of pollutant removal capacity, and a sudden increase of the predicted value OUR_( x,cal)^(20)is an alarm signal for the unrecoverable deterioration of biomass. The sign of OUR_x^(20)–OUR_(x,cal)^(20)can be used for selection of tuning strategies. For example, a negative value of OUR_x^(20)–OUR_( x,cal)^(20)indicates that doubling biomass is difficult,thus strategies such as extending the reaction time with limited available biomass is preferred. The findings in this study elucidated the respiration profile of activated sludge under changes of temperature and can be effectively used for the stable operation of Wastewater Treatment Plants under cold temperatures and seasonal variations.

The presence of oxygen vacancies and hydroxyl groups are both favorable for the methanol electrooxidation on Pt-based catalysts.Understanding and differentiating the enhancing mechanism between oxygen vacancies and hydroxyl groups for high activity of Pt catalysts in methanol oxidation reaction(MOR)is essential but still challenging.Herein,we developed two kinds of co-catalyst for Pt/CNTs,Pr_(6)O_(11)is rich in oxygen vacancies but contains substantially no hydroxyl groups,while Pr(OH)_(3) possesses abundant hydroxyl groups without oxygen vacancies.After a seque nce of designed experiments,it can be found that both oxygen vacancies and hydroxyl groups can improve the performance of Pt/CNTs electrocatalysts,but the enhancing mechanism and improving degree of oxygen vacancies and hydroxyl groups for the MOR are different.Since the oxygen vacancies are more conducive to increasing the intrinsic activity of the Pt catalyst,and the hydroxyl groups play a decisive role in dehydrogenation and deproto nation of methanol,the co-catalysts with both oxygen vacancies and hydroxyl groups mixed with Pt/CNTs have higher catalytic performance.Therefore,hydroxyl-rich Pr_(6)O_(11)·xH_(2)O was prepared and used as MOR electrocatalyst after mixed with Pt/CNTs.Benefiting from the synergistic effect of oxygen vacancies and hydroxyl groups,the Pr_(6)O_(11)·xH_(2)O/Pt/CNTs shows a high peak current density of 741 mA/mg,which is three times higher than that of Pt/CNTs.These new discoveries serve as a promising strategy for the rational design of MOR catalysts with low cost and high activity.

In the field of noble metal-catalyzed alcohol electro-oxidation reaction(AOR),huge attention is paid on the composition,size,facet,and structure of the metals,while the support engineering should also be emphasized.CeO_(2)has been widely used as a unique support in AOR,primarily due to its abundant oxygen vacancies(O_(v)).Herein,we report CeO_(2)·xH_(2)O nanoparticles with both massive hydroxyl groups(OH)and O_(v)remarkably enhance the catalytic activity and stability of Pd toward ethanol oxidation reaction(EOR).The CO striping experiments and density functional theory(DFT)calculations suggest that OH and O_(v)on CeO_(2)·xH_(2)O surface bring about a large downshift of Pd d-band center and a significant weakening of CO absorption on Pd.Moreover,OH and O_(v)also play synergic roles in the removal of toxic intermediates.Consequently,the important roles of OH and O_(v)of CeO_(2)·xH_(2)O are confirmed in Pd-catalyzed EOR.The facile CeO_(2)·xH_(2)O-enhanced strategy can contribute to the catalyst design for other energy conversion reactions.

分析中医医院医疗质量的评价指标, 实现对中医医院医疗质量进行客观公正、精准的评价。通过分析中医医院医疗质量相关文献和专题小组讨论, 总结出21个三级中医医院医疗质量评价指标。采用专家咨询法进行问卷调查, 问卷调查40名专家, 有效回收37份, 积极系数为92.50%;经2轮专家咨询, 确定评价指标为:门诊中医中药饮片使用强度(中药饮片使用率、中药饮片处方数、中药饮片剂量、中药饮片服务价格)、中医医疗技术使用强度(中医技术比例、中医技术项目数、中医技术费用、中医技术疗程)指标。利用上海中医药大学附属岳阳中西医结合医院运营决策支持系统(BI)平台对10个科室相关数据进行案例分析, 发现10个科室数据分析结果与医院实际医疗质量情况基本一致。表明确定的中医医院医疗质量评价指标可反映实际医疗质量情况, 具有一定的科学性、可行性和适用性, 为完善中医医院医疗质量评价指标提供参考。

随着红外成像技术的广泛应用,人们对红外成像质量的要求不断提高。由于红外传感成像原理的限制,红外图像普遍存在对比度不高、缺乏细节纹理等问题。与此同时,常用的传统红外图像增强算法在提升图像对比度的同时容易引入较高的噪声,导致增强效果有限。因此,本文提出一种基于高斯-拉普拉斯金字塔、CLAHE、原始图像等多重先验知识的无监督红外图像增强算法,并通过实验与各种经典先验方法进行了对比。实验证明,本算法效果相较于传统算法有较为明显的提升,可以完全自适应地实现对比度拉伸、去除噪声等红外图像增强操作,并且对目标检测等下游任务带来了显著的精度提升。

Controlling the anomalous Hall effect(AHE)inspires potential applications of quantum materials in the next generation of electronics.The recently discovered quasi-2D kagome superconductor CsV_(3)Sb_(5) exhibits large AHE accompanying with the charge-density-wave(CDW)order which provides us an ideal platform to study the interplay among nontrivial band topology,CDW,and unconventional superconductivity.Here,we systematically investigated the pressure effect of the AHE in CsV_(3)Sb_(5).Our high-pressure transport measurements confirm the concurrence of AHE and CDW in the compressed CsV_(3)Sb_(5).Remarkably,distinct from the negative AHE at ambient pressure,a positive anomalous Hall resistivity sets in below 35 K with pressure around 0.75 GPa,which can be attributed to the Fermi surface reconstruction and/or Fermi energy shift in the new CDW phase under pressure.Our work indicates that the anomalous Hall effect in CsV_(3)Sb_(5) is tunable and highly related to the band structure.
