Experimental study of hysteresis and catastrophe in a cavity-based scramjet combustor

Hystereses and catastrophes were experimentally investigated in a cavity-based scramjet combustor.The inflow Mach number was 3.0.Fuel Equivalence Ratio(ER)was continuously regulated with multi-steps to explore influences of historical regulation directions on combustion states.Two divided hysteresis loops with catastrophes were observed.By 1-D flow estimations,the first loop occurred with shock-free/separated scramjet mode transitions,while the second kept in the separated scramjet mode.This breaks through the traditional knowledge that hysteresis and catastrophe were certainly related to ramjet/scramjet mode transitions.The first hysteresis and catastrophes were attributed to flame stabilization mode transitions between the cavity shearlayer stabilized and the jet-wake stabilized,with flow separation establishment/vanishment upstream the cavities.The obvious variations of flame and shock/separation structures meant large wall-pressure changes in the expansive duct,and generated obvious thrust catastrophes.Besides,transition ER and catastrophe were larger in historical ER-increasing path because combustion efficiency became obviously larger as flow separation established.Difference of critical transition ERs meant the first hysteresis.The second hysteresis and catastrophes in the jet-wake stabilized mode were attributed to flame/shock interaction mode transitions between the flame/shock weak interaction mode and intensive interaction mode.Each transition caused slightly stronger/weaker flame interacting with slightly larger/smaller flow separation,which meant small wall-pressure changes in the expansive duct,and thus thrust catastrophe was unobvious.Hysteresis occurred as the critical transition ER was slightly higher in historical ER-increasing path because of slightly lower combustion efficiency under slightly smaller separation.

Objective This prospective single-arm clinical trial aimed to evaluated the feasibility and safety of the application of the SHURUI system(Beijing Surgerii Technology Co.,Ltd.,Beijing,China),a novel purpose-built robotic system,in single-port robotic radical prostatectomy.Methods Sixteen patients diagnosed with prostate cancer were prospectively enrolled in and underwent robotic radical prostatectomy from October 2021 to August 2022 by the SHURUI single-port robotic surgical system.The demographic and baseline data,surgical,oncological,and functional outcomes as well as follow-up data were recorded.Results The mean operative time was 226.3(standard deviation[SD]52.0)min,and the mean console time was 183.4(SD 48.3)min,with the mean estimated blood loss of 116.3(SD 90.0)mL.The mean length of postoperative hospital stay was 4.50(SD 0.97)days.Two patients had postoperative complications(Clavien-Dindo Grade II),and both patients improved after conservative treatment.All patients’postoperative prostate-specific antigen levels decreased to below 0.2 ng/mL 1 month after discharge.The mean prostate-specific antigen level further decreased to a mean of 0.0219(SD 0.0641)ng/mL 6 months after surgery.Thirty days postoperatively,12 out of 16 patients reported using no more than one urinary pad per day,and all patients reported satisfactory urinary control without the need for pads 6 months after surgery.Conclusion The SHURUI system is safe and feasible in performing radical prostatectomy via both transperitoneal and extraperitoneal approaches.Tumor control and urinary continence were satisfying for patients enrolled in.The next phase involves conducting a large-scale,multicenter randomized controlled trial to thoroughly assess the effectiveness and safety of the new technology in a broader population.

Background:Cancer metastasis and recurrence remain major challenges in renal carcinoma patient management.There are limited biomarkers to predict the metastatic probability of renal cancer,especially in the early-stage subgroup.Here,our study applied robust machine-learning algorithms to identify metastatic and recurrence-related signatures across multiple renal cancer cohorts,which reached high accuracy in both training and testing cohorts.Methods:Clear cell renal cell carcinoma(ccRCC)patients with primary or metastatic site sequencing information from eight cohorts,including one outhouse cohort,were enrolled in this study.Three robust machine-learning algorithms were applied to identify metastatic signatures.Then,two distinct metastatic-related subtypes were identified and verified;matrix remodeling associated 5(MXRA5),as a promising diagnostic and therapeutic target,was investigated in vivo and in vitro.Results:We identified five stable metastasis-related signatures(renin,integrin subunit beta-like 1,MXRA5,mesenchyme homeobox 2,and anoctamin 3)from multicenter cohorts.Additionally,we verified the specificity and sensibility of these signatures in external and out-house cohorts,which displayed a satisfactory consistency.According to these metastatic signatures,patients were grouped into two distinct and heterogeneous ccRCC subtypes named metastatic cancer subtype 1(MTCS1)and type 2(MTCS2).MTCS2 exhibited poorer clinical outcomes and metastatic tendencies than MTCS1.In addition,MTCS2 showed higher immune cell infiltration and immune signature expression but a lower response rate to immune blockade therapy than MTCS1.The MTCS2 subgroup was more sensitive to saracatinib,sunitinib,and several molecular targeted drugs.In addition,MTCS2 displayed a higher genome mutation burden and instability.Furthermore,we constructed a prognosis model based on subtype biomarkers,which performed well in training and validation cohorts.Finally,MXRA5,as a promising biomarker,significantly suppressed malignant ability,including the ce

Considering the fact that the initial defects,like the imperfect interfacial transition zones(ITZ)and the micro voids in mortar matrix,weaken the mechanical properties of concrete,this study develops corresponding constitutive models for ITZ and matrix,and simulates the concrete failure with finite element methods.Specifically,an elastic-damage traction-separation model for ITZ is constructed,and an anisotropic plastic-damage model distinguishing the strength-difference under tension and compression for mortar matrix is proposed as well.In this anisotropic plastic-damage model,the weakening effect of micro voids is reflected by introducing initial isotropic damage,the distinct characteristic of tension and compression which described by decomposing damage tensor into tensile and compressive components,and the plastic yield surface which established on the effective stress space.Furthermore,by tracking the damage evolution of concrete specimens suffering uniaxial tension and compression,the effects of imperfect status of ITZ and volume fraction of initial voids on the concrete mechanical properties are investigated.

Nowadays, image copyright protection is one of the key points of information security in the field of education. Based on the transient property of human vision, the anti-theft and copyright protection strategies are proposed based on the idea of animation synthesis. In this paper, experiments are designed and compared from multiple perspectives. The results show that the strategy based on animation synthesis can not only ensure the browsing effect of images, but also effectively achieve the purpose of preventing interception via screenshot and protecting the legitimate rights of the original images.

Objective:Robot-assisted partial nephrectomy(RAPN)has become widely used for treatment of renal cell carcinoma and it is expanding in the field of complex renal masses.The aim of this systematic review was to analyze outcomes of RAPN for completely endophytic renal masses,large tumors(cT2-T3),renal cell carcinoma in solitary kidney,recurrent tumors,completely endophytic and hilar masses,and simultaneous and multiple tumors.Methods:A comprehensive search in the PubMed,Scopus,Web of Science,and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials databases was performed in December 2022 for English language papers.The primary endpoint was to evaluate the role of RAPN in the setting of each category of complex renal masses considered.The secondary endpoint was to evaluate the surgical and functional outcomes.Results:After screening 1250 records,43 full-text manuscripts were selected,comprising over 8500 patients.Twelve and thirteen studies reported data for endophytic and hilar renal masses,respectively.Five and three studies reported outcomes for cT2-T3 and solitary kidney patients,respectively.Four studies focused on redo-RAPN for recurrent tumors.Two studies investigated simultaneous bilateral renal masses and five reports focused on multiple tumor excision in ipsilateral kidney.Conclusion:Over the past decade,evidence supporting the use of RAPN for the most challenging nephron-sparing surgery indications has continuously grown.Although limitations remain including study design and lack of detailed long-term functional and oncological outcomes,the adoption of RAPN for the included advanced indications is associated with favorable surgical outcomes with good preservation of renal function without compromising the oncological result.Certainly,a higher likelihood of complication might be expected when facing extremely challenging cases.However,none of these indications should be considered per se an exclusion criterion for performing RAPN.Ultimately,a risk-adapted approach should be employed.

为探究多凹腔燃烧室前后排凹腔释热区转移过程中的演化特性,利用直连台在Ma=3.0条件下进行总当量比(φT)不变,前排凹腔当量比(φ1)增加,后排凹腔当量比(φ2)降低的试验。φ1较低时,前排凹腔为凹腔剪切层稳焰,后排凹腔为射流尾迹稳焰。当φ1增加到一定值,前排凹腔火焰由凹腔剪切层稳焰转换为射流尾迹稳焰,致使沿程压力出现突变。由于φ1较低,当地释热不足以维持火焰为射流尾迹稳焰,前后排凹腔燃烧耦合使得前排凹腔火焰在两种稳焰模式之间切换。φ1继续增加,前排凹腔的释热使火焰稳定在射流尾迹稳焰。之后φ1继续增加,前排凹腔火焰出现不对称的情况,这种不对称是随机的,且随着当量比的增加变得更加明显且持续时间更长。φ1继续增加使得前排凹腔出现火焰闪回现象。

DSC analyses of static and dynamic precipitation of an Al–Mg–Si–Cu aluminum alloy

In the present investigation, both static and dynamic precipitations of an Al–Mg–Si–Cu aluminum alloy after solid-solution treatment(SST)were comparatively analyzed using differential scanning calorimetry(DSC). Dynamic aging was performed in the SST alloy through equal channel angular pressing(ECAP) at different temperatures of room temperature, 110, 170, 191 and 300 1C. For comparison, static artificial aging was conducted in the SST alloy at 191 1C with two aging times of 4 and 10 h. The DSC analyses reveal that the dynamic precipitation has occurred in the ECAPed samples, while the activation energies associated with the strengthening precipitates in the dynamic samples are considerably higher than the energies in the SST and static aged samples. The higher activation energies are probably attributed to the smaller grains and higher dislocation density developed after ECAP. The results in the present investigation allow the prediction of the type of the dynamic precipitates to influence the strength of the ultrafine grained alloy during ECAP at various temperatures.

肾癌的局灶治疗是通过局部干预直接破坏肾癌病灶,同时最大限度保留周围健康肾组织的精准治疗技术,主要适用于Tla期(肿瘤直径≤4cm)的早期肾癌,尤其是手术风险较高的患者。相比于传统的根治性肾切除术和肾部分切除术,局灶治疗具有对患者一般情况要求低、更加微创、并发症少、恢复快等优势。目前临床上使用的局灶治疗技术主要包括冷冻消融、射频消融、微波消融、不可逆性电穿孔、高强度聚焦超声以及立体定向消融体部放疗。本文综述各种局灶治疗技术的原理、患者的选择,以及局灶治疗技术的肿瘤学结局、并发症和肾功能保护情况。
