Dispersion coding of ENZ media via multiple photonic dopants

Epsilon-near-zero (ENZ) media are opening up exciting opportunities to observe exotic wave phenomena. In this work, we demonstrate that the ENZ medium comprising multiple dielectric photonic dopants would yield a comb-like dispersion of the effective permeability, with each magnetic resonance dominated by one specific dopant. Furthermore, at multiple frequencies of interest, the resonant supercouplings appearing or not can be controlled discretely via whether corresponding dopants are assigned or not. Importantly, the multiple dopants in the ENZ host at their magnetic resonances are demonstrated to be independent. Based on this platform, the concept of dispersion coding is proposed, where photonic dopants serve as “bits” to program the spectral response of the whole composite medium. As a proof of concept, a compact multi-doped ENZ cavity is fabricated and experimentally characterized, whose transmission spectrum is manifested as a multi-bit reconfigurable frequency comb. The dispersion coding is demonstrated to fuel a batch of innovative applications including dynamically tunable comb-like dispersion profiled filters, radio-frequency identification tags, etc.

＜正＞In this paper,we present another novel source number estimator without the complete eigendecomposition,it is based on the Lanczos process and Sturm algorithm and Finally,for the case of a Uniform Circular Array of six isotropic sensors spaced a half wavelength apart with additive and uncorrelated white noise,we provide a simulated data example to evaluate the proposed estimator,which is proved to be very available.

This paper investigates the structure of a spin electromagnetic (EM) field and its various physical properties.A spin EM field is an intrinsic mode of free space,which satisfies the spin equations derived from Maxwell equations.A spin mode has two basic properties:the spin along its axis and the localization of electromagnetic field.The source and EM structure of this electric and magnetic mode are described in detail in this paper.The distributed charge and current of a spin mode can be integrated to obtain the electric and magnetic moment,and they can be treated as the electromagnetic dipole.A spin mode possesses both wave and particle properties:a wave number,angular frequency and characteristic speed are its wave parameters;an intrinsic radius,energy and angular momentum are its dynamic parameters.The former is analogous to an EM resonant mode;the latter is similar to the behavior of a particle with intrinsic spin.There are two kinds of electric modes present,one can be expressed through a pair of charges,and the other can be expressed by a magnetic current.They both have the same electric moment,but have different divergence properties.

＜正＞This paper presents a new peec-based inductor simulation tool,entitled L-Simulator,which employs a novel magPEEC modeling algorithm and an existing FastCap modeling algorithm to address both magnetic and electrical coupling effects respectively in 3D conductor + magnet + dielectric geometries,hence being capable to simulate and design 3D magnetic-enhanced RF IC inductors.Applications on micromachmed inductors in 0.2u.m GaAs HEMT process and magnetic-cored micro inductors in 0.18μm CMOS technology are discussed.

Plant viruses are a group of intracellular pathogens that persistently threaten global food security.Significant advances in plant virology have been achieved by Chinese scientists over the last 20 years,including basic research and technologies for preventing and controlling plant viral diseases.Here,we review these milestones and advances,including the identification of new crop-infecting viruses,dissection of pathogenic mechanisms of multiple viruses,examination of multilayered interactions among viruses,their host plants,and virus-transmitting arthropod vectors,and in-depth interrogation of plantencoded resistance and susceptibility determinants.Notably,various plant virus-based vectors have also been successfully developed for gene function studies and target gene expression in plants.We also recommend future plant virology studies in China.

＜正＞In this paper,a pattern synthesis method for linear array is proposed.This method is based on the Unit-Excitation Pattern theory.By calculating the mutual coupling equivalent excitation value,we can directly express the actual antenna array pattern in terms of the combination of the ideal element patterns.The mutual coupling is considered in the pattern synthesis.Finally,two simulation results are given to show the effectiveness of this method.

＜正＞In this paper,the investigation of W-band solid-state continuous wave（CW） frequency sources is given,according to the types, such as HFET oscillator,Gunn diode oscillator, IMPATT oscillator and all kinds of frequency multiplier sources.The emphases are the phase noise and frequency stability of frequency sources.At last,two W-band multiplier sources are developed,with spurious output less than -65dBc and phase noise -97dBc/Hz at 10kHz offset.
