Interactive holography offers unmatched levels of immersion and user engagement in the field of future *** of the substantial progress has been made in dynamic meta-holography,the realization of real-time,highly smooth interactive holography remains a significant challenge due to the computational and display frame rate *** this study,we introduced a dynamic interactive bitwise meta-holography with ultra-high computational and display frame *** our knowledge,this is the first reported practical dynamic interactive metasurface holographic *** spa-tially divided the metasurface device into multiple distinct channels,each projecting a reconstructed *** switching states of these channels were mapped to bitwise operations on a set of bit values,which avoids complex holo-gram computations,enabling an ultra-high computational frame *** approach achieves a computational frame rate of 800 kHz and a display frame rate of 23 kHz on a low-power Raspberry Pi computational *** to this methodology,we demonstrated an interactive dynamic holographic Tetris game system that allows interactive gameplay,color display,and on-the-fly hologram *** technology presents an inspiration for advanced dynamic meta-holography,which is promising for a broad range of applications including advanced human-computer interaction,real-time 3D visualization,and next-generation virtual and augmented reality systems.

The concerns over energy crisis and climate change caused by the excessive consumption of fossil fuels and the associated emission of greenhouse gases, have driven many countries to develop policies for an energy transition into zero-carbon energy sources, essentially aiming at decarbonizing their energy systems. Among various renewable sources, hydrogen has been hailed as an ideal alternative to provide secure, cost-effective, and non-polluting energy. In recent years, there has been noteworthy progress in hydrogen electrochemical conversion and utilization techniques and devices, including water electrolyzers, proton-exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs), solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs), etc. Each of these technologies has yielded a series of encouraging advances. To showcase these recent advances, Frontiers in Energy is launching a special issue titled “electrochemical conversion and utilization of hydrogen energy”.

In this study,we comprehensively investigated the scaling law for elastic properties of three-dimensional honeycomb-like graphenes(3D graphenes)using hybrid neural network potential-based molecular dynamics simulations and theoretical *** elastic constants were obtained as functions of honeycomb hole size,denoted by the graphene wall length *** five independent elastic constants in the large-L limit are proportional to L^(-1).The associated coefficients are combinations of elastic constants of two-dimensional ***-order terms including L^(-2)and L^(-3)emerge for finite L *** have three origins,the distorted areas close to the joint lines of 3D graphenes,the variation in solid angles between graphene plates,and the bending distortion of graphene ***,the chirality becomes essential with decreasing L because the joint line structures are different between the armchair and zigzag-type 3D *** findings provide insights into the elastic properties of graphene-based superstructures and can be used for further studies on graphene-based materials.

Avian H9N2 viruses have wide host range among the influenza A ***,knowledge of H9N2 mammalian adaptation is *** explore the molecular basis of the adaptation to mammals,we performed serial lung passaging of the H9N2 strain A/chicken/Hunan/8.27 YYGK3W3-OC/2018(3W3)in mice and identified six mutations in the hemagglutinin(HA)and polymerase acidic(PA)*** L226Q,T511I,and A528V of HA were responsible for enhanced pathogenicity and viral replication in mice;notably,HA-L226Q was the key *** T97I,I545V,and S594G of PA contributed to enhanced polymerase activity in mammalian cells and increased viral replication levels in vitro and in ***-T97I increased viral polymerase activity by accelerating the viral polymerase complex *** findings revealed that the viral replication was affected by the presence of PA-97I and/or PA-545V in combination with a triple-point HA ***,the double-and triple-point PA mutations demonstrated antagonistic effect on viral replication when combined with ***,any combination of PA mutations,along with double-point HA mutations,resulted in antagonistic effect on viral *** also observed antagonism in viral replication between PA-545V and PA-97I,as well as between HA-528V and *** findings demonstrated that several antagonistic mutations in HA and PA proteins affect viral replication,which may contribute to the H9N2 virus adaptation to mice and mammalian *** findings can potentially contribute to the monitoring of H9N2 field strains for assessing their potential risk in mammals.

The elliptic azimuthal anisotropy coefficient(v_(2))of the identified particles at midrapidity(|η|<0.8)was investigated in p-Pb collisions at√s_(NN)=5.02 TeV using a multi-phase transport model(AMPT).The calculations of differential v_(2)based on the advanced flow extraction method of light flavor hadrons(pions,kaons,protons,andΛ)in small collision systems were extended to a wider transverse momentum(p_(T))range of up to 8 GeV/c for the first *** string-melting version of the AMPT model provides a good description of the measured p_(T)-differential v_(2)of the mesons but exhibits a slight deviation from the baryon v_(2).In addition,we observed the features of mass ordering at low p_(T)and the approximate number-of-constituentquark(NCQ)scaling at intermediate p_(T).Moreover,we demonstrate that hadronic rescattering does not have a significant impact on v_(2)in p-Pb collisions for different centrality selections,whereas partonic scattering dominates in generating the elliptic anisotropy of the final *** study provides further insight into the origin of collective-like behavior in small collision systems and has referential value for future measurements of azimuthal anisotropy.

Objective:A novel technique was explored using an airbag-selective portal vein blood arrester that circumvents the need for an intraoperative assessment of anatomical variations in patients with complex intrahepatic space-occupying ***:Rabbits undergoing hepatectomy were randomly assigned to 4 groups:intermittent portal triad clamping(PTC),intermittent portal vein clamping(PVC),intermittent portal vein blocker with an airbag-selective portal vein blood arrester(APC),and without portal blood occlusion(control).Hepatic ischemia and reperfusion injury were assessed by measuring the 7-day survival rate,blood loss,liver function,hepatic pathology,hepatic inflammatory cytokine infiltration,hepatic malondialdehyde levels,and proliferating cell nuclear antigen ***:Liver damage was substantially reduced in the APC and PVC *** APC animals exhibited transaminase levels similar to or less oxidative stress damage and inflammatory hepatocellular injury compared to those exhibited by the PVC *** was significantly higher in the control group than in the other *** APC group had less bleeding than the PVC group because of the avoidance of portal vein skeletonization during ***,more operative time was saved in the APC group than in the PVC ***,the total 7-day survival rate in the APC group was higher than that in the PTC ***:Airbag-selective portal vein blood arresters may help protect against hepatic ischemia and reperfusion injury in rabbits undergoing partial *** technique may also help prevent liver damage in patients requiring hepatectomy.

Reinforcement learning(RL) interacts with the environment to solve sequential decision-making problems via a trial-and-error approach. Errors are always undesirable in real-world applications, even though RL excels at playing complex video games that permit several trial-and-error attempts. To improve sample efficiency and thus reduce errors, model-based reinforcement learning(MBRL) is believed to be a promising direction, as it constructs environment models in which trial-and-errors can occur without incurring actual costs. In this survey, we investigate MBRL with a particular focus on the recent advancements in deep RL. There is a generalization error between the learned model of a non-tabular environment and the actual environment. Consequently, it is crucial to analyze the disparity between policy training in the environment model and that in the actual environment, guiding algorithm design for improved model learning, model utilization, and policy training. In addition, we discuss the recent developments of model-based techniques in other forms of RL, such as offline RL, goal-conditioned RL, multi-agent RL, and meta-RL. Furthermore,we discuss the applicability and benefits of MBRL for real-world tasks. Finally, this survey concludes with a discussion of the promising future development prospects for MBRL. We believe that MBRL has great unrealized potential and benefits in real-world applications, and we hope this survey will encourage additional research on MBRL.

Evaluation and attribution of trends in compound dry-hot events for major river basins in China

Concurrent compound dry and hot events(CDHEs)amplified more damange on the ecosystems and human society than individual *** climate change,compound dry and hot events become more frequent on a global *** paper proposes a mathematical method to quantitatively attribute changes of CDHEs to changes of precipitation,change in temperature and change in the dependence between precipitation and *** attribution is achieved by formulating the total differential equation of the return period of CDHEs among Meta-gaussian model.A case study of China is devised based on monthly precipitation and temperature data during the period from 1921 to 2020 for 80 major river *** is found that temperature is the main driving factor of increases in CDHEs for 49 major river basins in China,except for the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze *** West China,precipitation changes drove the increase in CDHEs in 18 river basins(23%),particularly in parts of North Xinjiang,Qinghai and *** the other hand,dependence between precipitation and temperature dominated changes of CDHEs in 13 river basins(16%)of China with other factors,including parts of South China,East China and Northwestern ***,changes in both the mean and spread of precipitation and temperature can also contribute to changes in CDHEs.

The end-effector is an important part of the broccoli harvesting *** at the physical characteristics of a large broccoli head and thick stem,a spherical cutting tool broccoli harvesting end-effector was designed in this ***,the physical characteristics of broccoli were tested,and physical parameters such as the broccoli head diameter and stem diameter of broccoli were *** maximum cutting force of broccoli stems under different cutting angles was ***,according to the physical characteristics and harvesting process of broccoli,the end-effector was designed,and the mathematical model of kinematics and dynamics was *** on the results of dynamic analysis,the end-effector rod was optimized,and the unilateral width of the slider was 40 mm,the length of the connecting rod was 120 mm,and the length of the crank was 42 *** mechanism needed an external driving force of 140.54 N to cut the broccoli ***,a 32 mm cylinder with a load rate of 50%was selected as the power ***,the feasibility of the broccoli harvesting end-effector was verified by the harvesting *** showed that the overall harvesting success rate of the end-effector is 93.3%,and the smoothness rate of the stem section is 83.3%.The harvesting performance of the broccoli end-effector was *** lays a foundation for agricultural robots to harvest broccoli.
