Traditional Chinese herbal medicine Astragalus Radix and its effects on intestinal absorption of aconite alkaloids in rats

Objective:Astragalus Radix(AR,Huangqi in Chinese) has been widely used as a qi(energy) restoring herb that is thought to act through reinvigorating the spleen and *** is used to rebalance the body temperature during illness and played an irreplaceable role in disease control since ancient times,but it is limited by its strong neuro and *** the Song Dynasty(1227),the two herbs have been commonly used as herbal pairs including in the famous Qifu Decotion,from the "Wei's Family Prescription".However,many ancient texts also record that they are not compatible using together,suggesting they can have negative outcomes when *** study investigated whether Astragali Radix had either positive or negative effects on absorption of six different active alkaloids derived from ***:Single intestinal perfusion model was used to study the effects of Astragali Radix on aconite alkaloids *** of ABC transporters and distribution of three tight junction proteins on the surface of intestinal enothelium were assessed by Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction(RT-PCR),Western blot and immunofluorescence microscopy,***:The results showed that aconite alkaloids absorption could be inhibited,and different concentrations of Astragali Radix considerably increased the expression levels of the ABC transporters and tight junction proteins with Astragali Radix ***:These results suggest that Astragali Radix can block absorption of aconite alkaloids through the upregulation expression of ATP-binding cassette transporters(ABC transporters) and tight junction *** demonstrates that co-administration of Astragali Radix with other drugs might change the absorption profile of the second drug which is important to know in clinic therapy.

The tacticity of vinyl polymers is a key factor affecting the properties of ***,organic Brønsted acids have been demonstrated as effective catalysts for the development of highly stereoselective cationic reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer(RAFT)polymerizations of vinyl ethers,in which the use of RAFT agents could allow the control the molecular weight and tacticity of polymer products ***,the effect of RAFT agents on the tacticity-regulation remains elusive and lacks of *** this study,we synthesized four types of RAFT agents and evaluated their influence in the stereoselective cationic polymerization of isobutyl vinyl ether in the presence of PADI as a Brønsted acid catalyst,which unveils that the Z group of RAFT agents could not only affect the polydispersity of the products,but also exert a profound effect on the *** extensive screening of the RAFT agents,high stereoregularity(isotacticity,90%m)was obtained when using dithiocarbonate ester-type RAFT agents with a benzyloxy Z group.

π-conjugated chromophore functionalized high-nuclearity titanium-oxo clusters containing structural unit of anatase for photocatalytic selective oxidation of sulfides

N-doping has significant influence in manipulating the properties of TiO_(2),and this has stimulated the development of N-donor-functionalized titanium-oxo clusters(TOCs)as molecular models to study the structure-property ***,the structural type and photoresponsive application are still limited for such TOCs,especially regarding the high-nuclearity TOCs that contain structure unit of TiO_(2)for ***,we showed the synthesis of a series of high-nuclearity TOCs 1-3 compounds usingπ-conjugated 1,10-phenanthroline(phen)as chromophore and N-donor functional *** 1 features cocrystal structure composed of one[Ti_(26)]~(2+)and half[Ti_(22)]~(2+),which renders it as the first cocrystallized TOC containing two positively charged species and phen-functionalized TOC showing the highest nuclearity up to 37 Ti *** adjusting the synthetic conditions,the individual{Ti_(22)}and{Ti_(26)}clusters can also be isolated as Compounds 2 and 3,*** core structure of{Ti_(22)}is mainly constructed from four lacunary{Ti_(4)}derived from pentagonal{Ti(Ti)_5}unit,while{Ti_(26)}is built from four complete{Ti(Ti)_5}***,a{Ti_8O_(14)}structure unit of anatase TiO_(2)can be identified in{Ti_(26)}.Based on the unique structural features and proper photophysical and photochemical properties of Compounds 1-3,they are applied for photocatalytic *** to the presence of anatase structure unit in{Ti_(26)}and the synergistic effect from{Ti_(22)}and{Ti_(26)},the catalytic performance presents in the order of Compound 1>Compound 3>Compound *** work provides excellent models to understand the structureproperty relationship from the perspective of cocrystallization and Ti-O binding model and will further promote the application of TOCs as functional catalysts for organic transformation.

The recently discovered ATi_(3)Bi_(5)(A=Cs,Rb)exhibit intriguing quantum phenomena including superconductivity,electronic nematicity,and abundant topological ***_(3)Bi_(5)present promising platforms for studying kagome superconductivity,band topology,and charge orders in parallel with *** this work,we comprehensively analyze various properties of ATi_(3)Bi_(5)covering superconductivity under pressure and doping,band topology under pressure,thermal conductivity,heat capacity,electrical resistance,and spin Hall conductivity(SHC)using first-principles *** superconducting transition temperature(Tc)of CsTi_(3)Bi_(5)and RbTi_(3)Bi_(5)at ambient pressure are about 1.85 and 1.92 *** subject to pressure,Tc of CsTi_(3)Bi_(5)exhibits a special valley and dome shape,which arises from quasi-two-dimensional compression to three-dimensional isotropic compression within the context of an overall decreasing ***,Tc of RbTi_(3)Bi_(5)can be effectively enhanced up to 3.09 K by tuning the kagome van Hove singularities(VHSs)and flat band through *** can also induce abundant topological surface states at the Fermi energy(EF)and tune VHSs across ***,our transport calculations are in excellent agreement with recent experiments,confirming the absence of charge density ***,SHC of CsTi_(3)Bi_(5)can reach up to 226h·(e·Ω·cm)^(-1)at *** work provides a timely and detailed analysis of the rich physical properties for ATi_(3)Bi_(5),offering valuable insights for further experimental verifications and investigations in this field.

CNN-LSTM based incremental attention mechanism enabled phase-space reconstruction for chaotic time series prediction

To improve the prediction accuracy of chaotic time series and reconstruct a more reasonable phase space structure of the prediction network,we propose a convolutional neural network-long short-term memory(CNN-LSTM)prediction model based on the incremental attention ***,a traversal search is conducted through the traversal layer for finite parameters in the phase ***,an incremental attention layer is utilized for parameter judgment based on the dimension weight criteria(DWC).The phase space parameters that best meet DWC are selected and fed into the input ***,the constructed CNN-LSTM network extracts spatio-temporal features and provides the final prediction *** model is verified using Logistic,Lorenz,and sunspot chaotic time series,and the performance is compared from the two dimensions of prediction accuracy and network phase space ***,the CNN-LSTM network based on incremental attention is compared with long short-term memory(LSTM),convolutional neural network(CNN),recurrent neural network(RNN),and support vector regression(SVR)for prediction *** experiment results indicate that the proposed composite network model possesses enhanced capability in extracting temporal features and achieves higher prediction ***,the algorithm to estimate the phase space parameter is compared with the traditional CAO,false nearest neighbor,and C-C,three typical methods for determining the chaotic phase space *** experiments reveal that the phase space parameter estimation algorithm based on the incremental attention mechanism is superior in prediction accuracy compared with the traditional phase space reconstruction method in five networks,including CNN-LSTM,LSTM,CNN,RNN,and SVR.

Mechanism underlying bergapten-mediated regulation of vincristine transport in MDCK-MDR1 cells

Objectives: To investigate the effects of bergapten of Angelicae Dahuricae Radix on the transport of vincristine and its possible ***: The apparent permeability coefficient(Papp) for the transport of vincristine through the membrane of MDCK-MDR1 cells was used as an indicator of the effect of bergapten on vincristine *** docking was employed to predict the binding force between bergapten and P-glycoprotein(Pgp). The effects of bergapten on P-gp function and P-gp ATPase activity were determined by rhodamine123(Rho123) accumulation and activity analysis, respectively. 1,6-Diphenyl-1,3,5-hexatriene(DPH) was used to study the effects of bergapten on membrane fluidity, and Western blotting and quantitative realtime PCR assays were performed to analyze the effect of bergapten on the protein and mRNA expression of P-gp, respectively. These experiments clarified the effects of bergapten on the transport of vincristine and allowed exploration of the possible mechanism underlying the effects of ***: The results showed that bergapten could inhibit the transport of vincristine in MDCK-MDR1 cells,and the binding force between bergapten and P-gp was weaker. Bergapten could reduce the accumulation of Rh123 in MDCK-MDR1 cells, increase the membrane fluidity, and upregulate P-gp protein and mRNA expression but it had no effect on P-gp ATPase ***: Overall, we concluded that the possible mechanism through which bergapten inhibits vincristine transport was related to the bergapten-mediated upregulation of P-gp protein and mRNA expression, membrane fluidity or P-gp enzyme activity.

Because the volatile content of isoamyl alcohol increases sharply on the seventh day of wheat mildew infection,isoamyl alcohol can be used as an early biomarker of wheat mildew ***,only a few sensors for isoamyl alcohol detection have been reported,and these sensors still suffer from low sensitivity and poor moisture ***,the isoamyl alcohol sensitivity of 5 at%Er@LaFeO_(3)(ELFO)was enhanced by loading Ag nanoparticles on the surface of the ELFO microspheres,while the optimal operating temperature was *** moisture resistance of Ag/ELFO was improved by the incorporation of g-C_(3)N_(4)nanosheets(NSs)on the surface of Ag/ELFO through electrostatic *** the requirements for practical applications in grain granaries,the sensing behavior of a Ag/ELFO-based sensor incorporating g-C_(3)N_(4)NSs at 20%relative humidity(RH)was systematically studied,and the sensor demonstrated excellent repeatability,long-term stability,and superior selectivity(791 at 50 ppm)for isoamyl alcohol with a low limit of detection(LOD=75 ppb).Furthermore,the practical results obtained for wheat at different mildew stages further confirmed the potential of the g-C_(3)N_(4)/Ag/ELFO-based sensor for monitoring the early mildew stage of *** work may offer guidance for enhancing the moisture resistance of gas-sensitive materials through the strategy of employing composite nanomaterials.

Degradation Behavior of Zn-Cu Stents with Different Coatings in Sodium Chloride Solution

The Zn0.6Cu wires are fabricated into stents for the potential biodegradable application of nasal wound *** degradation behavior of Zn0.6Cu stents in 0.9 wt%NaCl at 36.5℃ is *** shows that the untreated Zn0.6Cu stent experiences severe crevice corrosion with acceleration and autocatalytic effects within the micro-cracks and ruptures at 4.67±1.15 d,with the average corrosion rate of 0.28 mm y^(-1).Fortunately,the anodic polarization(AP)+hydrothermal(H)conversion coating,consisting of ZnCO_(3),Zn(OH)_(2) and ZnO,could inhibit the crevice corrosion significantly by reducing the cathode/anode ratio,extending the rupture time up to 16.50±2.95 d,with the average corrosion rate of 0.14 mm y^(-1).This research indicates that the biodegradable Zn-based stent has some potential applications in nasal wound recovery area.
