Prostate cancer(PCa)is the second most common malignancy among men *** fu-zheng-yi-Liu(FZYL)Formula has been widely utilized in the treatment of *** study investigates whether the FZYL Formula can inhibit PCa by tar-geting the TAMs/CCL5 *** conducted in vitro co-cultures and in vivo co-injections of PCa cells and TAMs to mimic their *** showed that the FZYL Formula significantly reduced the proliferation,colony formation,subpopulations of PCSCs,and sphere-formation efficacy of PCa cells,even in the presence of TAM ***,the Formula markedly decreased the migration,invasion,and epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)of PCa cells induced by *** FZYL Formula also reversed M2 phenotype polarization in TAMs and dose-dependently reduced their CCL5 expression and secretion,with minimal cytotoxicity *** studies confirmed that the TAMs/CCL5 axis is a critical target of the FZYL Formula,as the addition of exogen-ous CCL5 partially reversed the formula’s inhibitory effects on PCSCs self-renewal in the co-culture ***,the Formula also significantly inhibited the growth of PCa xenografts,bone metastasis,and PCSCs activity in vivo by targeting the TAMs/CCL5 ***,this study not only elucidates the immunomodulatory mechanism of the FZYL Formula in PCa therapy but also highlights the TAMs/CCL5 axis as a promising therapeutic target.

Cancer is a complex disease associated with multiple gene mutations and malignant phenotypes,and multi-target drugs provide a promising therapy idea for the treatment of *** products with abundant chemical structure types and rich pharmacological characteristics could be ideal sources for screening multi-target antineoplastic *** this paper,50 tumor-related targets were collected by searching the Therapeutic Target Database and Thomson Reuters Integrity database,and a multi-target anti-cancer prediction system based on mt-QSAR models was constructed by using naïve Bayesian and recursive partitioning algorithm for the first *** the multi-target anti-cancer prediction system,some dominant fragments that act on multiple tumor-related targets were analyzed,which could be helpful in designing multi-target anti-cancer ***-cancer traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and its natural products were collected to form a TCM formula-based natural products library,and the potential targets of the natural products in the library were predicted by multi-target anti-cancer prediction *** a result,alkaloids,flavonoids and terpenoids were predicted to act on multiple tumor-related *** predicted targets of some representative compounds were verified according to literature review and most of the selected natural compounds were found to exert certain anti-cancer activity in vitro biological *** conclusion,the multi-target anti-cancer prediction system is very effective and reliable,and it could be further used for elucidating the functional mechanism of anti-cancer TCM formula and screening for multi-target anti-cancer *** anti-cancer natural compounds found in this paper will lay important information for further study.

ZrB2 ceramics with various hexagonal BN(hBN)additions up to 37 vol%were reactively densified by spark plasma sintering using powder mixtures containing ZrB2,ZrN and ***-boron based additives effectively promoted the densification process,ZrB2 ceramics reached>99%relative density at 2000℃and an applied pressure of 60 MPa with only 5 vol%in-situ formed hBN,whereas the relative density of pure ZrB2 was only 91.2%at the same *** thehBN contents,the morphology of hBN grains gradually changed from quasi-spherical to flake dominated,which has substantial influence on their mechanical ***-situ ZrB2-10 vol%hBN ceramics demonstrated high flexural strength of 597±22 MPa,relatively low Young’s modulus of 406 GPa and good machinability,especially for the impressively large strain to failure(1.47×10^-3)which is superior to most of their counterparts in the ZrB2 based particulate reinforced ceramics.

Seawater battery is an advanced energy storage system that enables conversion of chemical energy to electricity by consuming metals,dissolved oxygen and seawater in anode,cathode and electrolyte,***,the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)activity and stability of electrocatalysts can be easily deactivated due to the severe Cl~-permeation and corrosion in seawater ***,we developed a structural buffer engineering strategy by spontaneously anchoring Cl~-intoα-Co(OH)_(2) as efficient and stable ORR electrocatalysts,in which the ultrathinα-Co(OH)_(2) nanosheets were synthesized using an ultrafast solution high-temperature shock(SHTS)*** large lattice space(~0.8 nm)of layeredα-Co(OH)_(2) ensured the spontaneously penetration of Cl~-into the lattice structure and replaced part of OH~-to formα-Co(OH)_(2-x)Cl_*** continuous leaching and compensating of saturated Cl inα-Co(OH)_(2-x)Cl_x could enhance the Cl~-corrosion resistance and modulate electronic structure of Co metallic sites,thus improving the ORR electrocatalytic activity and stability in seawater ***α-Co(OH)_(2-x)Cl_x seawater batteries display superior onset and half-wave potentials of 0.71 and 0.66 V,respectively,which are much better than the counterparts ofα-Co(OH)_(2) and ofβ-Co(OH)_(2) with no Cl~-penetrating and no buffer ***α-Co(OH)_(2-x)Cl_x-based seawater batteries display stable open-circuit potential of 1.69 V and outstanding specific capacity of 1345 mAh·g^(-1).

With the development of analytical instrumentation to minimization,integration and automation,the microfluidic chips,which are more integrated,complex and diversified,have been applied widely on the manufacturing of analytical ***,the present photolithography-based microfabrication technology,which is only able to pattern microchannels with simple inside structures,can not follow the rapid development of *** solving the problem,a fabrication method based on the restricting effect of laminar flow is proposed for the micro etching on isotropic *** were conducted inside glass-based microchannels,in which certain etchant was used to form complicated *** flow parameters＇ effects on the aspect ratio,side wall profile and etching rate were revealed by the *** experimental results reveal that the topography of micro structures patterned with the restricted flow etching method is mainly determined by the flowrates of separator and *** computational fluid dynamics（CFD） model on the interface between multiple streams was established for the etching process,and analysis on the causes of various micro topographies was conducted based on the CFD simulation *** experimental data consisted with the simulation results very *** investigation depicted in this paper indicate that the flow restricted etching method provides sufficient references for the research and understanding on the mass transport at the liquid-liquid surface in the microchannel and can be used to pattern complex micro structures with high aspect ratios,meantime,it greatly enriches the microfabrication technology for microfluidic chips.

To explore the wide-frequency damping and vibration-attenuation performances in the application of aerospace components,the cylindrical sandwich shell structure with a gradient core of entangled wire mesh was proposed in this ***,the gradient cores of entangled wire mesh in the axial and radial directions were prepared by using an in-house Numerical Control weaving machine,and the metallurgical connection between skin sheets and the gradient core was performed using vacuum ***,to investigate the mechanical properties of cylindrical sandwich shells with axial or radial gradient cores,quasi-static and dynamic mechanical experiments were carried *** primary evaluations of mechanical properties include secant stiffness,natural frequency,Specific Energy Absorption(SEA),vibration acceleration level,and so *** results suggest that the vibration-attenuation performance of the sandwich shell is remarkable when the high-density core layer is at the end of the shell or abuts the inner *** axial gradient material has almost no influence on the vibration frequencies of the shell,whereas the vibration frequencies increase dramatically when the high-density core layer approaches the ***,compared to the conventional sandwich shells,the proposed functional grading cylindrical sandwich shell exhibits more potential in mass reduction,stiffness designing,and energy dissipation.

Effective thermal transport across solid-solid interfaces which is essential in thermal interface materials(TIMs),necessitates both optimal thixotropy and high thermal *** role of filler surface modification,a fundamental aspect of TIM fabrication,in the influence of these properties is not fully *** study employs the use of a silane coupling agent(SCA)to modify alumina,integrating experimental approaches with molecular dynamics simulations,to elucidate the interface effects on thixotropy and thermal conductivity in polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)-based *** findings reveal that the variations of SCAs modify both interface binding energy and transition layer *** interface binding energy restricts macromolecular segmental relaxation near the interface,hindering desirable thixotropy and bond line *** the contrary,the thickness of the transition layer at the interface positively influences thermal conductivity,facilitating the transport of phonons between the polymer and ***,selecting an optimal SCA allows a balance between traditionally conflicting goals of high thermal conductivity and minimal bond line thickness,achieving an impressively low interface thermal resistance of just 2.45-4.29 K·mm^(2)·W^(-1)at275.8 kPa.

The concerns over energy crisis and climate change caused by the excessive consumption of fossil fuels and the associated emission of greenhouse gases, have driven many countries to develop policies for an energy transition into zero-carbon energy sources, essentially aiming at decarbonizing their energy systems. Among various renewable sources, hydrogen has been hailed as an ideal alternative to provide secure, cost-effective, and non-polluting energy. In recent years, there has been noteworthy progress in hydrogen electrochemical conversion and utilization techniques and devices, including water electrolyzers, proton-exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs), solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs), etc. Each of these technologies has yielded a series of encouraging advances. To showcase these recent advances, Frontiers in Energy is launching a special issue titled “electrochemical conversion and utilization of hydrogen energy”.
