The low cycle fatigue （LCF） behavior of P92 martensitic steel was investigated under different controlled strain amplitudes at room and high temperatures （873 K）. The cyclic stress responses at all temperatures and strain amplitudes exhibited obviously rapid softening behavior at the early stage of fatigue life, and there was no saturated stage at high temperature. The fracture surfaces of the fatigue samples were observed by scanning electron microsco py （SEM） and optical microscopy. It was shown that crack initiation and propagation occurred transgranularly at both testing temperatures. A typical character was the high density crack branches or secondary cracks along fatigue striations at high temperature, which initiated from the oxidized inclusions and grain boundaries. Further investiga- tion by transmission electron microscopy （TEM） showed that the softening behavior was attributed to the micro- structure evolution during fatigue life, such as annihilation of dislocations and migration of martensite laths as well as carbide coarsening, especially for samples tested at high temperature.

The effects of 0.5 wt pct In on Al-3.3Cu-0.8li alloy were studied. Instead of T1 （Al2Culi） phase, there was an unknown cubic phase acting as the dominant precipitates in the In-added alloy in T6 temper, which disappeared in T8 temper. The orientation relationship between this phase and matrix was given by SAEDs：（001）p//（001）α, [010]p//[010]α. Both measuring directly from HREM images or calculating from it＇s FFTs gave an close lattice parameter about 0.83 nm. 3DAP composition analysis revealed the presence of Al, Cu and li in the atomic percentages： 60%Al, 30%Cu and 10%li. Thus, this cubic phase is considered to be li-rich γ1 （Al4Cu9） phase or a new phase designated as X （Al5Cu6li2）. Different from the traditional report providing heterogeneous nucleation sites for the precipitates, In was detected neither around nor in the cubic phase by EDX and 3DAP.

BACKGROUND Primary squamous cell carcinoma(SCC)of the renal parenchyma is extremely rare,with only nine cases *** SUMMARY This study reports a 51-year-old man with primary SCC of the renal *** patient was admitted with recurrent dull pain and discomfort in the right lumbar region,which had worsened over 2 weeks,accompanied by painful gross *** antigen(SCCA)levels were elevated,and imaging revealed a renal mass with associated *** patient underwent laparoscopic unilateral nephrectomy and lymph node *** pathology confirmed highly differentiated SCC with necrosis in the right renal parenchyma,with negative renal pelvis and *** pathological stage was *** months after surgery,the tumor recurred with involvement of the liver,right psoas major muscle,and inferior vena *** patient refused chemotherapy and succumbed to the disease 6 months postoperatively due to disease *** We report a case of primary SCC of the renal parenchyma,a rare renal *** clinical symptoms,laboratory tests,and imaging findings are nonspecific,making accurate and timely diagnosis *** to the literature,for patients with renal calculi accompanied by a renal mass,elevated serum SCCA levels,and magnetic resonance imaging showing cystic or cystic-solid masses within the kidney with pseudocapsules and heterogeneous mild enhancement,the possibility of this disease should be considered.

In the present work,the microstructural characteristics and mechanical properties of Al-1.5 Mg-0.6Si and Al-3.0 Mg-0.6Si alloy containing 3 wt%li were investigated by optical microscopy(OM),X-ray diffraction analysis(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),time of flight-secondary ion mass spectrometry(SIMS),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),and mechanical performance *** addition of li reduces the density of the base alloy by up to 8.4%.The residual second phases contain Mg and Si in the hot-rolled condition,but the Mg/Si atomic ratio decreases after quenching,which means that li substitute some of the Mg and convert Mg_(2)Si into a(Mg,li)_(2)Si phase during solution *** results of SIMS observations confirm *** high Mg-containing alloy has a more rapid hardening response compared to the low Mg-containing *** observation reveals that theδ′-Al3li+β′′-Mg_(2)Si dual phases can be observed in the high Mg-containing alloy after aging for 100 h at 170°*** higher Mg content enhances the precipitation of theδ′phase,which results in the high Mg-containing alloy having a larger average diameter size ofδ′particles and widerδ′-precipitate-free zones(δ′-PFZs).The mechanical properties are significantly improved with the elastic modulus increasing by more than 16.5%.However,the existence of large second phases and wideδ′-PFZs in li-containing alloys is detrimental to their ductility;as a result,their elongation is much lower than that of the base alloy.

We theoretically investigate the spin resolved Friedel oscillation （FO） and quasiparticle interference （QPI） in graphene induced by an Anderson *** the impurity becomes magnetic,the resulted FO becomes spin dependent,which gives rise to a local magnetic moment oscillation with an envelop decaying as r-2in real space in the doping ***,at half filling,the electron density and local magnetic moment will not oscillate but decay as *** spin resolved FO has both sublattice and spin ***,the local magnetic moment decay at half filling only occurs at one sublattice of graphene,which is quite like the phenomenon observed in the STM experiment (***ález-Herrero et al.,Science 352,437 （2016）).We further give an analytic formula about such spin dependent FO based on the stationary phase ***,we study the interference of quasiparticles around the magnetic impurity by calculating the spin dependent Fourier-transformed local density of states （FT-LDOS）.Our work gives a comprehensive understanding about the local magnetic moment oscillation around an Anderson impurity on graphene.

We report the rational design of a dual stimulus-activated quaternary chiral emission nematic liquid crystals(Q-N*-LCs)containing light-driven chiral dopant R-S-R-1,a static chiral dopant S-2 and an achiral Nile Red(NR)in a nematic liquid crystal(SLC1717).The dopant R-S-R-1 acts as a dynamic chiral donor and an energy donor,and the achiral NR serves as a circularly polarized luminescence(CPL)emitter and energy ***,this kind of Q-N*-LCs appears reversal CPL emission direction(L-CPL)using 365 nm UV light irradiation compared with the initial state(R-CPL).Most importantly,the“On-Off”CPL switch behavior of Q-N*-LCs can be repeatedly driven by revoking or rearranging the applied direct current(DC)electric *** OR chiral information logic gate demonstrates that this dual driven Q-N*-LCs can be potentially used for chiral information storage and coding.
