Stability of the Barrett True-K formula for intraocular lens power calculation after SMILE in Chinese myopic eyes

AIM: To compare the Barrett True-K formula with other formulas integrated in Lenstar 900 to predict intraocular lens(IOL) power after small-incision lenticule extraction(SMILE).METHODS: A theoretical prospective study was performed to predict the ratio of equivalent IOL power before and after SMILE using the SRK/T(Sanders, Retzlaff, Kraff/theoretical), Holladay 1, Haigis, and Barrett True-K formulas and compare the stability of their predictions. The study included 54 eyes(54 cases) with a manifest refraction spherical equivalent(MRSE) of-4.99±1.45 D. They were divided into two groups: 27 eyes with axial length of 24-26 mm in Group A, and 27 eyes with axial length >26 mm in Group B. All subjects enrolled in this study were examined with the Lenstar 900 before and 6 mo after SMILE including measurements of axial length, corneal curvature, and anterior chamber depth(ACD). RESULTS: The prediction of equivalent IOL power of the two groups was more stable for the Barrett True-K formula, especially in long axial length eyes(Group B). The respective percentages for the SRK/T, Holladay 1, Haigis, and Barrett True-K formulas were 7.4%, 7.4%, 85.19%, and 88.89% for a margin of error within 0.5 D;25.92%, 51.84%, 100%, and 100% for a margin of error within 1.0 D in Group A;33.33%, 40.74%, 44.44%, and 81.48% for a margin of error within 0.5 D;and 44.44%, 59.26%, 66.66%, and 92.59% for a margin of error within 1.0 D in Group B. The respective percentages for Barrett True-K formulas were 100% for a margin of error within 2.0 D in Group ***: Theoretically, the Barrett True-K formula provides more stable predictions than other formulas for cataract eyes after SMILE.

Objective Current clinical evidence on the effects of home blood pressure telemonitoring(HBPT)on improving blood pressure control comes entirely from developed ***,we performed this randomized controlled trial to evaluate whether HBPT plus support(patient education and clinician remote hypertension management)improves blood pressure control more than usual care(UC)in the Chinese *** This single-center,randomized controlled study was conducted in Beijing,*** aged 30-75 years were eligible for enrolment if they had blood pressure[systolic(SBP)≥140 mmHg and/or diastolic(DBP)≥90 mmHg;or SBP≥130 mmHg and/or DBP≥80 mmHg with diabetes].We recruited 190 patients randomized to either the HBPT or the UC groups for 12 *** primary endpoints were blood pressure reduction and the proportion of patients achieving the target blood *** Totally,172 patients completed the study,the HBPT plus support group(n=84),and the UC group(n=88).Patients in the plus support group showed a greater reduction in mean ambulatory blood pressure than those in the UC *** plus support group had a significantly higher proportion of patients who achieved the target blood pressure and maintained a dipper blood pressure pattern at the12th week of ***,the patients in the plus support group showed lower blood pressure variability and higher drug adherence than those in the UC *** HBPT plus additional support results in greater blood pressure reduction,better blood pressure control,a higher proportion of dipper blood pressure patterns,lower blood pressure variability,and higher drug adherence than *** development of telemedicine may be the cornerstone of hypertension management in primary care.

t-Butyl and t-pentylcalix[4]arenes bearing two 2-naphthol-1-hydrazone groups at the lower rim were synthesized,and showed excited-state intermolecular proton transfer fluorescent signal with basic *** are more sensitive to dihydrogen phosphate anion than to fluoride anion,although the latter has stronger *** with t-butylcalix[4]arene bearing two 2-naphthol-1-hydrazone groups,t-pentylcalix[4]arenes derivative has a larger fluorescent difference between dihydrogen phosphate and fluoride *** finding may be used to analyze dihydrogen phosphate anion in the presence of fluoride anion and provide a new approach for designing fluorescence probes that are highly selective for H2PO4-.

菜心响应高温胁迫的转录组分析与基因挖掘

【目的】探索菜心响应高温胁迫的转录组分析及基因挖掘,为筛选响应高温胁迫的菜心耐热基因及耐热菜心分子育种提供参考依据。【方法】以菜心耐热品种四九-19号和热敏品种特青迟心4号2个耐热性差异明显的菜心品种为试验材料,经高温(42℃)胁迫处理后,对植株地上部和地下部共24个样本基因进行转录组测序,筛选出差异表达基因(DEGs),利用COG、GO、KEGG、KOG、Pfam、Swiss-Prot、eggNOG和Nr生物数据库中对DEGs进行功能注释,筛选响应高温胁迫的热激转录因子和热激蛋白,同时利用实时荧光定量PCR验证重要基因表达情况,并分析其启动子区顺式作用元件。【结果】通过RNA-Seq在24个样本中共获得207.18 Gb的Clean bases和47462个DEGs;8个功能注释数据库均得到注释的仅2663个DEGs,Nr数据库中得到注释的DEGs最多,为47324个,占比99.71%;4个样本比较组中剔除重复DEGs,获得15761个DEGs。GO功能注释结果显示,DEGs富集到生物过程、细胞组分和分子功能三大类;KEGG信号通路富集结果表明,植物激素信号转导、碳代谢和氨基酸的生物合成信号通路最为富集。在|log2Fold Change|≥8且P<0.001的高DEGs筛选标准下,4个比较组有141个DEGs共表达,38个基因在四九-19号菜心特有表达,54个基因在特青迟心4号菜心特有表达;采用Nr、Pfam和Swiss-Prot等数据库对2个菜心品种共有表达和特有表达的共233个DEGs进行功能注释分析,获得响应高温胁迫9个热激转录因子基因和25个热激蛋白基因;最终筛选出10个与响应高温胁迫高度相关的DEGs;10个DEGs的实时荧光定量PCR验证结果显示,基因表达趋势与RNA-Seq数据结果一致;通过启动子区顺式作用元件分析结果显示,10个DEGs存在多种响应环境和激素信号的顺式作用元件。【结论】筛选获得10个与响应高温诱导相关且显著上调的重要候选基因,其启动子区域含有多种响应环境和激素信号的顺式作用元件。

Consistent comparison of angle Kappa adjustment between Oculyzer and Topolyzer Vario topography guided LASIK for myopia by EX500 excimer laser

AIM： To evaluate and compare the uniformity of angle Kappa adjustment between Oculyzer and Topolyzer Vario topography guided ablation of laser in situ keratomileusis（LASIK） by EX500 excimer laser for ***： Totally 145 cases（290 consecutive eyes）with myopia received LASIK with a target of emmetropia. The ablation for 86 cases（172 eyes） was guided manually based on Oculyzer topography（study group）, while the ablation for 59 cases（118 eyes） was guided automatically by Topolyzer Vario topography（control group）. Measurement of adjustment values included data respectively in horizontal and vertical direction of cornea. RESULTS： Horizontally, synclastic adjustment between manually actual values（dx_（manu）） and Oculyzer topography guided data（dx_（ocu）） accounts 35.5% in study group, with mean dx_（manu）/dx_（ocu） of 0.78±0.48; while in control group, synclastic adjustment between automatically actual values（dx_（auto）） and Oculyzer topography data（dx_（ocu）） accounts 54.2%, with mean dx_（auto）/dx_（ocu） of 0.79±0.66. Vertically, synclastic adjustment between dy_（manu） and dy_（ocu） accounts 55.2% in study group, with mean dy_（manu）/dy_（ocu） of 0.61±0.42; while in control group, synclastic adjustment between dy_（auto） and dy_（ocu） accounts 66.1%, with mean dy_（auto）/dy_（ocu） of 0.66±0.65. There was no statistically significant difference in ratio of actual values/Oculyzer topography guided data in horizontal and vertical direction between two groups（P=0.951, 0.621）.CONCLUSION： There is high consistency in angle Kappa adjustment guided manually by Oculyzer and guided automatically by Topolyzer Vario topography during corneal refractive surgery by Wave Light EX500 excimer laser.

Structured illumination microscopy(SIM)is a popular and powerful super-resolution(SR)technique in biomedical ***,the conventional reconstruction algorithm for SIM heavily relies on the accurate prior knowledge of illumination patterns and signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)of raw *** obtain high-quality SR images,several raw images need to be captured under high fluorescence level,which further restricts SIM’s temporal resolution and its *** learning(DL)is a data-driven technology that has been used to expand the limits of optical *** this study,we propose a deep neural network based on multi-level wavelet and attention mechanism(MWAM)for *** results show that the MWAM network can extract high-frequency information contained in SIM raw images and accurately integrate it into the output image,resulting in superior SR images compared to those generated using wide-field images as input *** also demonstrate that the number of SIM raw images can be reduced to three,with one image in each illumination orientation,to achieve the optimal tradeoff between temporal and spatial ***,our MWAM network exhibits superior reconstruction ability on low-SNR images compared to conventional SIM *** have also analyzed the adaptability of this network on other biological samples and successfully applied the pretrained model to other SIM systems.

Comparison of total corneal power measurements obtained with different devices after myopic keratorefractive surgery

AIM:To analyze the differences,agreements,and correlation among total corneal power parameters generated by different instruments after myopic keratorefractive ***:The prospective cross-sectional study included patients who underwent myopic keratorefractive surgery and received measurements of corneal power 3mo after *** keratometer was used for the measurement of simulated keratometry(Sim K),sweptsource optical coherence tomography(SS-OCT)based biometer for total keratometry(TK),anterior segment-OCT for real keratometry(RK),and Scheimpflug keratometer for the true net power(TNP),the total corneal refractive power(TCRP)and equivalent K-readings(EKR).The differences among these parameters were analyzed,and the agreements and correlation between Sim K and other total corneal power parameters were ***:A total of 70 eyes of 70 patients after myopic keratorefractive surgery were *** evaluated corneal power parameters were as follows:Sim K 38.32±1.93 D,TK 37.54±2.12 D,RK 36.64±2.09 D,TNP 36.56±1.97 D,TCRP 36.70±2.01 D,and EKR 37.55±2.00 *** comparison showed that there were significant differences(P<0.001)among all parameters except for between TK and EKR,RK and TNP,RK and TCRP(P=1.000,1.000,1.000,respectively).The limits of agreement between Sim K and TK,RK,TNP,TCPR,and EKR were 1.08,1.08,1.43,1.48,and 1.73 D,*** parameters showed good correlation with Sim K,and the correlation coefficients were 0.995,0.994,0.983,0.982,and ***:Among the corneal power parameters after myopic keratorefractive surgery,the value of Sim K is the largest,followed by TK and EKR,with TCRP,RK,and TNP being the *** differences among the parameters may be attributable to the different calculation *** understanding and evaluation of corneal power parameters can provide a theoretical basis for taking advantage of the total corneal power to improve the accuracy of intraocular lens calculation a

The interfacial instability of the poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO)-based electrolytes impedes the long-term cycling and further application of all-solid-state lithium metal *** this work,we have shown an effective additive 1-adaman-tanecarbonitrile,which con-tributes to the excellent per-formance of the poly(ethylene oxide)-based *** to the strong interaction of the 1-Adamantanecarboni-trile to the polymer matrix and anions,the coordination of the Li^(+)-EO is weakened,and the binding effect of anions is strengthened,thereby improving the Li^(+)conductivity and the electrochemical *** diamond building block on the surface of the lithium anode can sup-press the growth of lithium ***,the 1-Adamantanecarbonitrile also regulates the formation of LiF in the solid electrolyte interface and cathode electrolyte interface,which contributes to the interfacial stability(especially at high voltages)and protects the electrodes,enabling all-solid-state batteries to cycle at high voltages for long periods of ***,the Li/Li symmetric cell undergoes long-term lithium plating/stripping for more than 2000 h.1-Adamantanecarbonitrile-poly(ethylene oxide)-based LFP/Li and 4.3 V Ni_(0.8)Mn_(0.1)Co_(0.1)O_(2)/Li all-solid-state batteries achieved stable cycles for 1000 times,with capacity retention rates reaching 85%and 80%,respectively.

Poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO)-based polymer electrolytes show the prospect in all-solid-state lithium metal batteries;however,they present limitations of low room-temperature ionic conductivity,and interfacial incompatibility with high voltage ***,a salt engineering of 1,1,2,2,3,3-hexafluoropropane-1,3-disulfonimide lithium salt(LiHFDF)/LiTFSI system was developed in PEO-based electrolyte,demonstrating to effectively regulate Li ion transport and improve the interfacial stability under high *** show,by manipulating the interaction between PEO matrix and TFSI^(-)-HFDF^(-),the optimized solid-state polymer electrolyte achieves maximum Li+conduction of 1.24×10^(-4)S cm^(-1)at 40℃,which is almost 3 times of the ***,the optimized polymer electrolyte demonstrates outstanding stable cycling in the LiFePO_(4)/Li and LiNi_(0.8)Mn_(0.1)Co_(0.1)O_(2)/Li(3.0-4.4 V,200 cycles)based all-solid-state lithium batteries at 40℃.
