Coal,a carbon-rich mineral with plentiful reserves,serves not only as a fuel but also as a raw material,presenting lower pollution emissions in the latter *** a materials chemistry standpoint,coal is a viable raw material for graphene *** study develops a promising and sustainable method to convert coal into graphene,leveraging its unique macromolecular aromatic struc-ture and high carbon *** investigation includes an analysis of the lateral size,morphology,and chemical composition of coal-derived graphene using techniques such as X-ray diffraction,Raman spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,and op-tical *** confirm that coal can effectively replace natural graphite flakes in graphene production,with the derived graphene featuring three to six exfoliated layers and an oxygen content below 5.5%.While the graphene from coal shares a similar morphology to that derived from graphite,it exhibits more structural ***,the macroscopic size of the coal does not influence the microscopic composition and structure of the ***,the thermal reduction method for oxidized graphene proves more effective at repairing structural defects than chemical *** coal-derived graphene as a supercapacitor electrode demonstrates excellent cycling stability and ultra-high capacitance storage *** H-CG-32. shows the highest dis-charge area-specific capacitance across various current *** an increased current density of 10 A/g,the H-CG-32. maintains 80.6%of its initial capacitance of 79 F/g observed at 1 A/*** tests reveal that coal-based graphene holds significant potential as a supercapacitor material,indicating promising applications in energy storage and conversion.

Synchrotron tomography experiments are transitioning into multifunctional,cross-scale,and dynamic characterizations,enabled by new-generation synchrotron light sources and fast developments in beamline ***,with the spatial and temporal resolving power entering a new era,this transition generates vast amounts of data,which imposes a significant burden on the data processing ***,as a highly accurate and efficient data processing method,deep learning shows great potential to address the big data challenge being encountered at future synchrotron *** this review,we discuss recent advances emplo{2.ng deep learning at different stages of the synchrotron tomography data processing *** also highlight how applications in other data-intensive fields,such as medical imaging and electron tomography,can be migrated to synchrotron ***,we provide our thoughts on possible challenges and opportunities as well as the outlook,envisioning selected deep learning methods,curated big models,and customized learning strategies,all through an intelligent scheduling solution.

The Ordovician rocks on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau represent the oldest non-metamorphic strata,and are critical to understanding the history of regional geology and biotic evolution of the entire *** of Floian,Darriwilian,Sandbian,Katian and Hirnantian are represented in the plateau with a hiatus of variable duration occurring underneath the basal Ordovician across the *** stratigraphical regions,including the Himalaya,Gangdise-Zayu,Qiangtang-Qamdo,Songpan-Garze,and Karakoram-Kunlun-Altun,are differentiated for the Ordovician strata,which are correlated with their equivalents in the Sibumasu,Indochina,Qaidam-Qilian,Tarim-Tianshan,and the Yangtze(western margin)stratigraphical *** the QinghaiTibetan Plateau,graptolites,conodonts,and cephalopods are the most common and useful fossils for the Ordovician *** Ordovician biotas of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau bear some distinguishable palaeobiogeographical signatures,among which the cephalopods are characterized by the flourishing actinocerids of North china affinity in the Early-Middle Ordovician,and by the thriving lituitids and orthocerids of South china affinity in the Middle-Late *** occurrences and their palaeobiogeographical evolution provide critical evidence bearing on the reconstruction of the geological history of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and surrounding terranes in northeastern *** stratigraphical successions of the Cambrian-Ordovician transition in the Himalaya and Lhasa and nearby Sibumasu terranes were significantly affected by the Kurgiakh Orogeny,which resulted in the extensive unconformity between the Ordovician and the underlying rocks in most areas of the Qinghai-Tibetan *** southern Xizang,a warm-water biota of Middle Ordovician age was recovered from oolitic limestones,suggesting a likely palaeogeographical location in low-latitudes near the *** the Himalaya and Sibumasu regions,the Upper Ordovician was typified by t

In order to clarify the fatigue damage evolution of concrete exposed to flexural fatigue loads,ultrasonic pulse velocity(UPV),impact-echo technology and surface electrical resistance(SR) method were *** variable based on the change of velocity of ultrasonic pulse(Du) and impact elastic wave(Di)were defined according to the classical damage *** influences of stress level,loading frequency and concrete strength on damage variable were *** experimental results show that Du and Di both present a three-stages trend for concrete exposed to fatigue *** impact elastic wave is more sensitive to the microstructure damage in stage Ⅲ,the critical damage variable,i e,the damage variable before the final fracture of concrete of Di is slightly higher than that of ***,the evolution of SR of concrete exposed to fatigue loads were analyzed and the relationship between SR and Du,SR and Di of concrete exposed to fatigue loads were *** is found that the SR of concrete was decreased with the increasing fatigue cycles,indicating that surface electrical resistance method can also be applied to describe the damage of ballastless track concrete exposed to fatigue loads.

Geological reports are a significant accomplishment for geologists involved in geological investigations and scientific research as they contain rich data and textual *** the rapid development of science and technology,a large number of textual reports have accumulated in the field of ***,many non-hot topics and non-English speaking regions are neglected in mainstream geoscience databases for geological information mining,making it more challenging for some researchers to extract necessary information from these *** Language Processing(NLP)has obvious advantages in processing large amounts of textual *** objective of this paper is to identify geological named entities from Chinese geological texts using NLP *** propose the RoBERTa-Prompt-Tuning-NER method,which leverages the concept of Prompt Learning and requires only a small amount of annotated data to train superior models for recognizing geological named entities in low-resource dataset *** RoBERTa layer captures context-based information and longer-distance dependencies through dynamic word ***,we conducted experiments on the constructed Geological Named Entity Recognition(GNER)*** experimental results show that the proposed model achieves the highest F1 score of 80.64%among the four baseline algorithms,demonstrating the reliability and robustness of using the model for Named Entity Recognition of geological texts.

The volume fractions and morphology of precipitates in precipitation-strengthened Cu-Ti alloys,which precipitate mainly as continuous and discontinuous precipitates,are important for the application of the *** study employed hardness and electrical conductivity tests transmission electron microscopy(TEM),atom probe tomography(APT),and first-principles calculations to demonstrate that the addition of Mg is effective for accelerating nanosized continuousβ'-Cu_(4)Ti precipitation as well as for suppressing the precipitation of coarse lamellar discontinuousβ-Cu_(4)Ti precipitates along the grain boundaries,resulting in Cu-Ti alloys with high yield strength and good electrical *** results showed that the continuous precipitation ofβ'-Cu_(4)Ti was accelerated by the Mg additions,which reduced the supersaturation of the matrix,thereby reducing the chemical driving force for the discontinuous *** the other hand,Mg additions increased the mismatch between the discontinuousβ-Cu_(4)Ti precipitates and matrix decreased the nucleation rate of the discontinuous precipitates,and increased the spacing of the discontinuous precipitation layer,resulting in a lower growth rate of the discontinuous ***,the addition of Mg to Cu-Ti alloys enhances the strength and improves the resistance to over-ageing.

Mercury(Hg)is one of the most dangerous contaminants and has sparked global concern since it poses a health risk to humans when consumed through ***(S)is a crucial component for plant growth,and S may reduce Hg accumulation in rice ***,the detailed effects of S and the mechanisms underlying S-mediated responses in Hg-stressed rice plants remain ***,to investigate the effects of S addition on rice growth,Hg accumulation,physiological indexes,and gene expression profiles,rice seedlings were hydroponically treated with Hg(2.μmol/L Hg Cl_(2.)and Hg plus elemental sulfur(100 mg/L).S application significantly reduced Hg accumulation in Hg-stressed rice roots and alleviated the inhibitory effects of Hg on rice growth.S addition significantly reduced Hg-induced reactive oxygen species generation,membrane lipid peroxidation levels,and activities of antioxidant enzymes while increasing glutathione content in *** analysis of roots identified 3,411,2.730,and 581 differentially expressed genes in the control(CK)***,CK ***+S,and Hg ***+S datasets,*** pathway of S-mediated biological metabolism fell into six groups:biosynthesis and metabolism,expression regulation,transport,stimulus response,oxidation reduction,and cell wall *** majority of biological process-related genes were upregulated under Hg stress compared with CK treatment,but downregulated in the Hg+S *** results provide transcriptomic and physiological evidence that S may be critical for plant Hg stress resistance and will help to develop strategies for reduction or phytoremediation of Hg contamination.
