Integrating NLP and Ontology Matching into a Unified System for Automated Information Extraction from Geological Hazard Reports

Many detailed data on past geological hazard events are buried in geological hazard reports and have not been fully utilized. The growing developments in geographic information retrieval and temporal information retrieval offer opportunities to analyse this wealth of data to mine the spatiotemporal evolution of geological disaster occurrence and enhance risk decision making. This study presents a combined NLP and ontology matching information extraction framework for automatically recognizing semantic and spatiotemporal information from geological hazard reports. This framework mainly extracts unstructured information from geological disaster reports through named entity recognition, ontology matching and gazetteer matching to identify and annotate elements, thus enabling users to quickly obtain key information and understand the general content of disaster reports. In addition, we present the final results obtained from the experiments through a reasonable visualization and analyse the visual results. The extraction and retrieval of semantic information related to the dynamics of geohazard events are performed from both natural and human perspectives to provide information on the progress of events.

We apply the method of principal component analysis to a sample of simple stellar populations to select some age sensitive spectral indices. Besides the well-known age sensitive index Hβ, we also find some new age sensitive indices, G4300 and Fe4383, C_(2)4668, and Mgb. In addition, we find that these spectral indices sensitive to age depend on the metallicity of stellar population, Hβ and G4300 are more suitable to determine the age of loy metallicity stellar population, while C_(2)4668 and Mgb are more suitable to the high metallicity stellar population.

Determination of Soil Parameters in Apple-Growing Regions by Near-and Mid-Infrared Spectroscopy

Soil quality monitoring is important in precision *** study aimed to examine the possibility of assessing the soil parameters in apple-growing regions using spectroscopic methods.A total of 111 soil samples were collected from 11 typical sites of apple orchards,and the croplands surrounding ***-infrared(NIR) and mid-infrared(MIR) spectra,combined with partial least square regression,were used to predict the soil parameters,including organic matter(OM) content,pH,and the contents of As,Cu,Zn,Pb,and *** matter and pH were closely correlated with As and the heavy *** NIR model showed a high prediction accuracy for the determination of OM,pH,and As,with correlation coefficients(r) of 0.89,0.89,and 0.90,*** predictions of these three parameters by MIR showed reduced accuracy,with r values of 0.77,0.84,and 0.92,*** heavy metals could also be measured by spectroscopy due to their correlation with organic *** NIR and MIR had high correlation coefficients for the determination of Cu,Zn,and Cr,with standard errors of prediction of 2.95,10.48,and 9.49 mg kg-1 for NIR and 3.69,5.84,and 6.94 mg kg-1 for MIR,*** content behaved differently from the other *** NIR and MIR underestimated Pb content,with r values of 0.67 and 0.56 and standard errors of prediction of 3.46 and 2.99,*** and Zn had a higher correlation with OM and pH and were better predicted than Pb and ***,NIR spectra could accurately predict several soil parameters,metallic and nonmetallic,simultaneously,and were more feasible than MIR in analyzing soil parameters in the study area.

A cost-effective scheme supporting adaptive service migration in cloud data center

Cloud computing as an emerging technology promises to provide reliable and available services on de- mand. However, offering services for mobile requirements without dynamic and adaptive migration may hurt the performance of deployed services. In this paper, we propose MAMOC, a cost-effective approach for selecting the server and migrating services to attain enhanced QoS more econom- ically. The goal of MAMOC is to minimize the total operating cost while guaranteeing the constraints of resource de- mands, storage capacity, access latency and economies, including selling price and reputation grade. First, we devise an objective optimal model with multi-constraints, describing the relationship among operating cost and the above con- straints. Second, a normalized method is adopted to calculate the operating cost for each candidate VM. Then we give a de- tailed presentation on the online algorithm MAMOC, which determines the optimal server. To evaluate the performance of our proposal, we conducted extensive simulations on three typical network topologies and a realistic data center net- work. Results show that MAMOC is scalable and robust with the larger scales of requests and VMs in cloud environment. Moreover, MAMOC decreases the competitive ratio by identifying the optimal migration paths, while ensuring the constraints of SLA as satisfying as possible.

ZrO2 -supported Ru- Fe bimetallic clusters derived from Ru2 Fe(CO)12 or RuFe2(CO)1 2 displayed much higher activities in the hydrogenation of CO than that of mixed metal clusters or their monometallic clusters derived from Ru3(CO)1 2 and Fe2(CO)9 and that of conventional catalysts prepared from RuCl3 and Fe(NO3)*** of the major object to research the Fischer--Tropsch synthesis over bimetalliccatalysts is the development of new catalyst systems which maximize the more desirablechemical products. In this paper, the effect of precursors for ZrOZ --supported Ru--Febimetallic and their monometallic clusters on the FT synthesis activities was investigated.

Ground-State Bands of Fm and No Isotopes in Cluster Model

We investigate the ground-state rotational bands of nuclei with Z 〉 100 using cluster model proposed by Buck et al. [Phys. Rev. Left. 94 （2005） 202501]. The core-duster decomposition of each nucleus is determined by the corresponding electric quadrupole transition strength B（E2 ： 2^＋ → 0^＋）. The theoretical spectra of fermium and nobelium isotopes are compared with available experimental data. Good agreement between model and data is obtained.

Interfacial charge transfer in WS2 monolayer/CsPbBr3 microplate heterostructure

Integration of heterogenous materials produces compelling physical phenomena and increased perfor- mance of optoelectronic devices. In this work, we integrate CsPbBr3 microplate with WS2 monolayer to investigate the interfacial carrier transfer mechanism in the heterojunction. The quenching of photo- luminescence （PL） emission from CsPbBr3 and WS2 after heterostructure formation indicates efficient charge transfer in the junction. Low-temperature PL spectra reveal that the decreasing PL of WS2 arises from the vanishing of biexcitons. Photodetection based on the WS2/CsPbBr3 heterostructure is demonstrated. The higher performance from the junction further certifies the occurrence of charge transfer in the heterojunction.

Hot compression deformation behavior of biomedical Ni-Ti alloy

Biomedical Ti-55.78 (wt%) Ni alloy samples were prepared by vacuum induction melting, and their hot compression deformation behavior was studied in the deformation temperature range of 750-950℃, the strain rate range of 0.001-1.000 s^-1 and the true strain range of 0.1 -0.7. The constitutive equation of the as-cast biomedical Ni-Ti alloy was established based on the Arrhenius constitutive model, and error analysis of the constitutive equation was carried out. The processing zone and unstable thermal deformation zone of the as-cast biomedical Ni-Ti alloy were obtained by establishing hot processing maps based on a dynamic material model. The results showed that deformation temperature and strain rate were the main factors affecting the flow stress. The results of error verification of the constitutive equation show that the predicted flow stress curves agree well with the measured ones. Therefore, the constitutive equation based on Arrhenius can accurately predict the high temperature flow stress of as-cast biomedical Ni-Ti alloy. The optimum parameters for forging process of biomedical Ni-Ti alloy are the strain rate less than 0.003 s^-1 and the hot deformation temperature range of 930-950℃.
