A large number of the isomers of neutral and ionic Snn（n=2-15） clusters have been designed and optimized at the level of MP2/LANL2DZ with the aid of the Gaussian 09 software package. The most stable geometric structures of ionic（cationic and anionic） Sn clusters have been compared with the corresponding neutral geometries. Most structures of Snn＋ and Snn are similar to each other except for the structures of those with n=5, 11 and 15; while the anions Snn- are almost different from Snn clusters with n=9--15 except for Sn12- and Snl4-. The electronic properties have been calculated, including binding energy, second difference in energy, HOMO-luMO gaps, ionization potentials, and electron affinities.

Crohn's disease is a granulomatous systemic disorder of unknown etiology. Obvious pulmonary involvement is exceptional. Tracheal involvement in Crohn's disease is even more unusual, only a few cases have been report-ed to date. We herein report a rare case of tracheobron-chial nodules and pulmonary infiltrates in both lungs as a complication of Crohn's disease. A 42-year-old man underwent pancolectomy for multiple broken colon caused by Crohn's disease. Forty days later pulmonary symptoms and radiologic abnormalities were noted. A search for bacterial (including mycobacteria) and fungal in the repeated sputum proved negative. The treatment consisted of intravenous antimicrobials for one month, but there was no improvement in pyrexia or cough and radiologic abnormalities. Fibreoptic bronchoscopy (FOB) was performed and revealed nodes in the trachea and the right upper lobe opening. Histopathology of tracheo-bronchial nodules and bronchial mucosa biopsy specimen both showed granulomatous inflammation with proliferation of capillaries and inflammatory cells. Oral steroid and salicylazosulfapyridine were commenced and led to marked improvement in symptoms and an almost complete resolution of his chest radiograph. Repeated FOB showed that nodes in the trachea disappeared and the ones in the right upper lobe opening diminished obviously. Crohn's disease can be associated with several respiratory manifestations. The form of tracheal and bronchopulmonary involvement in Crohn's disease is rare and responded well to steroids.

BACKGROUND： Inevitable warm ischemia time before organ procurement aggravates posttransplantation ischemia- reperfusion injury. Endoplasmic reticulum （ER） stress is involved in ischemia-reperfusion injury, but its role in donation after cardiac death （DCD） liver transplantation is not clear and the effect of ER stress inhibitors, tauroursodeoxycholic acid （TUDCA） and 4-phenyl butyric acid （PBA）, on the prognosis of recipient of DCD liver transplantation remains unclear. METHODS： Male Sprague-Dawley rats （8-10 weeks） were randomly divided into control group： liver grafts without warm ischemia were implanted; DCD group： warm ischemia time of the liver grafts was 60 minutes; TUDCA and PBA groups： based on the DCD group, donors were intraperitoneally injected with TUDCA or PBA 30 minutes before the organ procurements. Serum aminotransferase levels, oxidative stress activation and expression of ER stress signal molecules were evaluated. Pathological examinations were performed. The survivals of the recipients in each group were compared for 14 ***： Compared with the control group, DCD rats had significantly higher levels of serum aminotransferase at 6 hours, 1 day and 3 days after operation （P〈0.01, 0.01 and 0.05, respectively） and oxidative indices （P〈0.01 for both malondialdehyde and 8-hydroxy deoxyguanosine）, more severe liver damage （P〈0.01） and up-regulated ER stress signal expressions （P〈0.01 for GRP78, phos-eIF2al, CHOP, ATF-4, ATF-6, PERK, XBP-1 and pro-caspase-12）. All recipients died within 3 days after liver transplantation. Administration of TUDCA or PBA significantly decreased aminotransferase levels （P〈0.05）, increased superoxide dismutase activities （P〈0.01）, alleviated liver damage （P〈0.01）, down-regulated ER stress signal expressions （P〈0.01） and improved postoperative survivals （P〈0.01）. In real multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems, the perfect channel state information (CSI) may be costly or impossible to acquire. But the channel statistical information can be considered relatively stationary during long-term transmission. The statistical information can be obtained at the receiver and fed back to the transmitter and do not require frequent update. By exploiting channel mean and covariance information at the transmitter simultaneously, this paper investigates the optimal trans- mission strategy for spatially correlated MIMO channels. An upper bound of ergodic capacity is derived and taken as the per- formance criterion. Simulation results are also given to show the performance improvement of the optimal transmission strategy.
