Physical activity among Chinese school-aged children:National prevalence estimates from the 2016 Physical Activity and Fitness in China The Youth Study

Purpose: This study was to present national estimates of participating in moderate-to-vigorous physical activity(MVPA) and adherence to the recommendations of 60 min/day of MVPA among Chinese school-aged children and to assess demographic differences in ***: Cross-sectional analyses of data from the 2016 Physical Activity and Fitness in China—The Youth Study. Participants were 90,712 primary, junior middle, and junior high school children(boy: 47%; girl: 53%), recruited from 1204 rural and urban schools across 32 administrative provinces and regions in the Mainland of China. Main outcomes were(a) average MVPA minutes per day in the previous 7 days by self-reports and(b) percentage meeting MVPA ***: Average MVPA time was 45.4 min/day, with boys having more MVPA(47.2 min/day) than girls(43.7 min/day) overall and across the 3 school grade categories. About 30% of participants met MVPA recommendations, with a higher percentage of boys(32%) than girls(28%) overall and across the 3 grades categories. Urban school children outperformed rural children in terms of MVPA time. Overall, boys were more likely to meet MVPA recommendations(adjusted odds ratio(a OR) = 1.19, 95% confidence interval(CI): 1.16–1.22) compared with girls; children in higher grades(junior middle(a OR = 0.92, 95%CI: 0.87–0.98) and junior high(a OR = 0.59, 95%CI: 0.53–0.66)) were less likely to meet recommendations compared with primary school children. The odds of meeting recommendations did not differ between urban and rural children(p = 0.07),but urban boys were found to be more likely to meet recommendations compared with rural boys(a OR = 1.14, 95%CI: 1.06–1.19).Conclusion: Overall, the average MVPA minutes per day among Chinese school-aged children is low, and less than one-third of them meet MVPA recommendations. These results were most evident among junior middle and junior high school children and those living rural areas.

Data on discrete,isolated attributes of the marine economy are often used in traditional marine economic ***,as the focus of urban research shifts from internal static attributes to external dynamic linkages,the importance of marine economic net-work research is beginning to *** construction of the marine economic network in China’s coastal areas is necessary to change the flow of land and sea resources and optimize regional marine economic *** data from headquarters and branches of sea-related A-share listed enterprises to construct the marine economic network in China,we use social network analysis(SNA)to discuss the characteristics of its evolution as of 2010,2015,and 2020 and its *** following results were obtained.1)In terms of topological characteristics,the scale of the marine economic network in China’s coastal areas has accelerated and expan-ded,and the connections have become increasingly close;thus,this development has complex network characteristics.2)In terms of spatial structure,the intensity of the connection fluctuates and does not form stable development support;the group structure gradually becomes clear,but the overall pattern is fragmented;there are spatial differences in marine economic agglomeration radiation;the radi-ation effect of the eastern marine economic circle is obvious;and the polarization effect of northern and southern marine economic circles is *** this basis,we construct a framework for the governance of a marine economic network with the market,the government,and industry as the three governing *** clarifying the driving factors and building objectives of marine economic network construction,this study aims to foster the high-quality development of China’s marine economy.

Plasma spray coating on interconnector toward promoted solid oxide fuel cells and solid oxide electrolysis cells

Interconnector is a critical component to construct solid oxide cells (SOCs) stack. Oxidation of metallic interconnectors and Cr poisoning caused by oxidation are important factors that lead to long-term performance degradation of SOCs. Coating on the interconnector surface is an important approach to inhibit the oxidation and Cr migration of the interconnector. Herein, (La0.75Sr0.25)0.95MnO3–δ (LSM) and Mn1.5Co1.5O4 (MCO) are used to fabricate the coatings of interconnector. Two advanced thermal spray technology, atmospheric plasma spraying (APS) and low-pressure plasma spray (LPPS), are adopted for the coating preparation. The electrochemical performance, rising and cooling cycle stability, and Cr diffusion inhibition performance of the coatings are tested and evaluated. The result indicates that MCO can generate more uniform and denser coatings than LSM. In addition, MCO coatings prepared by LPPS shows the best electrochemical performance, rising and cooling cycle stability, and Cr diffusion inhibition. The initial area specific resistance (ASR) is 0.0027 Ω·cm2 at 800 °C. After 4 cooling cycle tests, the ASR increases to 0.0032 Ω·cm2 but lower than other samples. Meanwhile, the relative intense of Cr at the interface of SUS430 with MCO coatings fabricated by LPPS is lower than that of MCO fabricated by APS after 4 rising and cooling cycle operations, showing more favorable Cr diffusion inhibition performance.

Associations between muscular fitness and metabolic syndrome: Cross-sectional study of Japanese women and men

Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a complex interrelated risk factor for cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus. High cardiorespiratory fitness is known to contribute to prevention of MetS. However, little is known regarding the association between muscular fitness and MetS in Japanese adults. The purpose of this study was to examine the associations between muscular fitness and MetS in Japanese women and men. This cross-sectional study included 335 women and 209 men aged 30 - 79 y. MetS was determined according to the 2009 criteria of the International Diabetes Federation. Muscular fitness was evaluated by muscular fitness composite score (MFS), which was determined using Z scores from grip strength and sit-ups. Participants were classified by MFS tertile into low, middle, and high MFS groups. We used multiple logistic regression analysis to estimate odds ratios for the incidence of MetS in each group. The prevalence of MFS was 27.2% in women and 27.3% in men. Adjusted odds ratios for MetS prevalence in the low, middle, and high MFS groups, after adjusting for age, smoking status, alcohol intake, and exercise habits, were 1.0 (referent), 0.90 (95% confidence interval [CI], 0.50 - 1.62), and 0.49 (95% CI, 0.25 - 0.94;P for trend = 0.03) in women;in men, they were 1.0 (referent), 0.49 (0.23 - 1.04), and 0.42 (0.18 - 0.97;P for trend = 0.04), respectively. Muscular fitness is inversely associated with the prevalence of MetS in Japanese women and men.

Relationship between predicted oxygen uptake and cigarette smoking in Japanese men

The link between cigarette smoking and predicted oxygen uptake was investigated using data for 149 Japanese men not taking medication. Cigarette smoking habits were obtained through interviews by well-trained staff. The influence of cigarette smoking on predicted oxygen uptake, predicted work rate and predicted heart rate were evaluated. Predicted oxygen uptake decreased with age. Predicted oxygen uptake and predicted work rate in men who smoked cigarettes was significantly lower than in subjects who did not, after adjusting for age. The differences in parameters did not reach significant levels after adjusting for age and physical activity evaluated by Σ[metabolic equivalents × h per week (METs?h/w)] (predicted oxygen uptake: p = 0.0632, predicted work rate: p = 0.0873). Cigarette smoking might be a modifyable factor for improving the aerobic exercise level in Japanese men.

DMFVAE: miRNA-disease associations prediction based on deep matrix factorization method with variational autoencoder

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are closely related to numerous complex human diseases, therefore, exploring miRNA-disease associations (MDAs) can help people gain a better understanding of complex disease mechanism. An increasing number of computational methods have been developed to predict MDAs. However, the sparsity of the MDAs may hinder the performance of many methods. In addition, many methods fail to capture the nonlinear relationships of miRNA-disease network and inadequately leverage the features of network and neighbor nodes. In this study, we propose a deep matrix factorization model with variational autoencoder (DMFVAE) to predict potential MDAs. DMFVAE first decomposes the original association matrix and the enhanced association matrix, in which the enhanced association matrix is enhanced by self-adjusting the nearest neighbor method, to obtain sparse vectors and dense vectors, respectively. Then, the variational encoder is employed to obtain the nonlinear latent vectors of miRNA and disease for the sparse vectors, and meanwhile, node2vec is used to obtain the network structure embedding vectors of miRNA and disease for the dense vectors. Finally, sample features are acquired by combining the latent vectors and network structure embedding vectors, and the final prediction is implemented by convolutional neural network with channel attention. To evaluate the performance of DMFVAE, we conduct five-fold cross validation on the HMDD v2.0 and HMDD v3.2 datasets and the results show that DMFVAE performs well. Furthermore, case studies on lung neoplasms, colon neoplasms, and esophageal neoplasms confirm the ability of DMFVAE in identifying potential miRNAs for human diseases.

Spatial and temporal variation of water clarity in typical reservoirs in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region observed by GF 1-WFV satellite data

Rapidly monitoring regional water quality and the changing trend is of great practical and scientific significance,especially for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH)region of China where water resources are relatively scarce and inland water bodies are generally *** remote sensing data of the GF 1 satellite launched in 2013 have characteristics of high spatial and temporal resolution,which can be used for the dynamic monitoring of the water environment in small lakes and ***,the water quality remote sensing monitoring model based on the GF 1 satellite data for lakes and reservoirs in BTH is still lacking because of the considerable differences in the optical characteristics of the lakes and *** this paper,the typical reservoirs in BTH-Guanting Reservoir,Yuqiao Reservoir,Panjiakou Reservoir,and Daheiting Reservoir are taken as the study *** the atmospheric correction of GF 1-WFV,the relative radiation normalized atmospheric correction was adopted after comparing it with other methods,such as 6 S and *** the water clarity retrieval,a water color hue angle based model was proposed and outperformed other available published models,with the R 2 of 0.74 and MRE of 31.7%.The clarity products of the four typical reservoirs in the BTH region in 2013-2019 were produced using the GF 1-WFV *** on the products,temporal and spatial changes in clarity were analyzed,and the main influencing factors for each water body were *** was found that the clarity of Guanting,Daheiting,and Panjiakou reservoirs showed an upward trend during this period,while that of Yuqiao Reservoir showed a downward *** the influencing factors,the water level of the water bodies can be an important factor related to the water clarity changes in this region.

Effect of Incoming Vortex on Secondary Flows in Turbine Cascades with Planar and Non-Axisymmetric Endwall
