Effects of melt temperature and casting speed on microstructure and mechanical properties of Cu-14%Al-3.8%Ni(mass fraction) alloy wires fabricated by continuous unidirectional solidification technology were *** was found that the average size of columnar grain in the alloy decreased and grain boundary turned clear and straight with increasing the casting speed at a given melt *** the melt temperature was up to 1 2.0℃,theβ1phase gradually transformed into lozenged and lanciformγ’1martensite,as well as parallel-sided plateβ’*** alloy with numerous coarsely dendriticγ2.hase has poor mechanical properties due to the difficulty of stress-induced martensitic *** the amount of theγ2.hase reduced and the coarse dendriteγ2.hase evolved into the fine square particles,the elongation of the alloy increased gradually with a decrease in tensile ***,the plasticity of the alloy could also be improved by increasing the amount and size of martensites,particularly the lanciformγ’*** the alloy was almost composed of coarse lanciformγ’1martensite,the tensile strength and elongation of the alloy could be up to 772.MPa and 18.9%,respectively,and the tensile curve consisted of three transformation platforms.

Transparent photoresists with a high refractive index(RI)and high transmittance in visible wavelengths have promising functionalities in optical *** work reports a kind of tunable optical material composed of titanium dioxide nanoparticles embedded in acrylic resin with a high RI for ultraviolet(UV)-imprint *** hybrid film exhibits a tunable RI of up to 1.67(589 nm)after being cured by UV light,while maintaining both a high transparency of over 98%in the visible light range and a low haze of less than 0.05%.The precision machining of optical microstructures can be imprinted easily and efficiently using the hybrid resin,which acts as a light guide plate(LGP)to guide the light from the side to the top in order to conserve the energy of the display *** preliminary studies based on both laboratory and commercial experiments pave the way for exploiting the unparalleled optical properties of nanocomposite resins and promoting their industrial application.

Impaired brain glucose metabolism is an early indicator of Alzheimer’s disease(AD);however,the fundamental mechanism is *** this study,we found a substantial decline in isocitrate dehydrogenase 3β(IDH3β)levels,a critical tricarboxylic acid cycle enzyme,in AD patients and AD-transgenic mice’s *** investigations demonstrated that the knockdown of IDH3βinduced oxidation-phosphorylation uncoupling,leading to reduced energy metabolism and lactate *** resulting increased lactate,a source of lactyl,was found to promote histone lactylation,thereby enhancing the expression of paired-box gene 6(PAX6).As an inhibitory transcription factor of IDH3β,the elevated PAX6 in turn inhibited the expression of IDH3β,leading to tau hyperphosphorylation,synapse impairment,and learning and memory deficits resembling those seen in *** AD-transgenic mice,upregulating IDH3βand downregulating PAX6 were found to improve cognitive functioning and reverse AD-like ***,our data suggest that impaired oxidative phosphorylation accelerates AD progression via a positive feedback inhibition loop of IDH3β-lactate-PAX6-IDH3β.Breaking this loop by upregulating IDH3βor downregulating PAX6 attenuates AD neurodegeneration and cognitive impairments.

The infinite-layer cuprate ACu O_(2.(A=Ca,Sr,Ba)possesses the simplest crystal structure among numerous cuprate superconductors and can serve as a prototypical system to explore the unconventional *** on the first-principles electronic structure calculations,we have studied the electronic and magnetic properties of the infinite-layer cuprate SrCuO_(2.from a phonon *** find that interesting fluctuations of charges,electrical dipoles,and local magnetic moments can be induced by the atomic displacements of phonon modes in SrCuO_(2.upon the hole *** all optical phonon modes of SrCuO_(2.in the antiferromagnetic Néel state,only the A_(1g)mode that involves the full-breathing O vibrations along the Cu-O bonds can cause significant fluctuations of local magnetic moments on O atoms and dramatic charge redistributions between Cu and O ***,due to the atomic displacements of the A_(1g)mode,both the charge fluctuations on Cu and the electrical dipoles on O show a dome-like evolution with increasing hole doping,quite similar to the experimentally observed behavior of the superconducting T_(c);in comparison,the fluctuations of local magnetic moments on O display a monotonic enhancement along with the hole *** analyses indicate that around the optimal doping,there exists a large softening in the frequency of the A_(1g)phonon mode and a van Hove singularity in the electronic structure close to the Fermi level,suggesting potential electron-phonon *** work reveals the important role of the full-breathing O phonon mode playing in the infinite-layer SrCuO_(2.,which may provide new insights in understanding the cuprate superconductivity.

The charge carrier separation efficiency and the adsorption capacity of the photocatalyst usually affect the degradation rate of ***,Cerium-doped leaf-like CdS(Ce-CdS)modified with ultrathin N-doped rGO(N-rGO)composites were successfully constructed(Ce-CdS/N-rGO)to investigate the removal efficiency of tetracycline(TC).X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and photoelectrochemical results revealed that Ce ions doped in CdS acting as the electron capture sites facilitated the interfacial charge *** calculation(DFT)results indicated that the interfacial effect between Ce-CdS and ultrathin N-rGO promoted the transfer of photogenerated electrons under the synergistic effect between the doping and interface modification *** optimized Ce5-CdS/N-rGO2. composites had the maximum TC removal capability(94.5%)and maintained a stable cycling *** addition,the adsorption-driven photocatalytic degradation pathway of TC was studied through mass spectrometry(MS)and in-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(in-situ FTIR).This study will provide an effective strategy for the construction of efficient photocatalytic composites for wastewater treatment.

We have conducted a comprehensive investigation into the bright single pulse emission from PSR B1133+16using the Giant Metrewave Radio *** time resolution data(61μs)were obtained at a center frequency of 32. MHz with a bandwidth of 32.MHz over a continuous observation period of 7.45 hr.A total of 1082.bright pulses were sporadically detected with peak flux densities ranging from 10 to 2. times stronger than the average pulse ***,no giant pulse-like emission with a relative pulse energy larger than 10 and extremely short duration was detected,indicating that these bright pulses cannot be categorized as giant pulse *** majority of these bright pulses are concentrated in pulse phases at both the leading and trailing windows of the average pulse profile,with an occurrence ratio of approximately *** pulse energy distribution for all individual pulses can be described by a combination of two Gaussian components and a cutoff power-law with an index of α=-*** updated nulling fraction of 15.35%±0.45% was determined from the energy *** emission of individual pulses follows a log-normal distribution in peak flux density *** is imperative that regular phase drifting in bright pulse sequence is identified in both the leading and trailing components for the first *** physical mechanisms are discussed in detail to provide insights into these observations.

Exploration of advanced gel polymer electrolytes(GPEs)represents a viable strategy for mitigating dendritic lithium(Li)growth,which is crucial in ensuring the safe operation of high energy density Li metal batteries(LMBs).Despite this,the application of GPEs is still hindered by inadequate ionic conductivity,low Li^(+)transference number,and subpar physicochemical ***,Ti O_(2.x)nanofibers(NF)with oxygen vacancy defects were synthesized by a one-step process as inorganic fillers to enhance the thermal/mechanical/ionic-transportation performances of composite *** characterizations and theoretical calculations reveal that the oxygen vacancies on the surface of Ti O_(2.x)NF accelerate the dissociation of Li PF_6,promote the rapid transfer of free Li^(+),and influence the formation of Li F-enriched solid electrolyte ***,the composite GPEs demonstrate enhanced ionic conductivity(1.90m S cm^(-1)at room temperature),higher lithium-ion transference number(0.70),wider electrochemical stability window(5.50 V),superior mechanical strength,excellent thermal stability(2.0℃),and improved compatibility with lithium,resulting in superior cycling stability and rate performance in both Li||Li,Li||Li Fe PO_(4),and Li||Li Ni_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2.***,the synergistic influence of nanofiber morphology and enriched oxygen vacancy structure of fillers on electrochemical properties of composite GPEs is comprehensively investigated,thus,it is anticipated to shed new light on designing high-performance GPEs LMBs.

Owing to the large exciton binding energy(>100 meV)of most organic materials,the process of exciton dissociation into free electrons and holes is seriously hindered,which plays a key role in the photocatalytic *** this study,a series of chalcogen(S,Se)-substituted mesoporous covalent organic frameworks(COFs)have been synthesized for enhanced photocatalytic organic *** measurements indicate that the introduction of semi-metallic Se atom and the enlargement of conjugation degree can not only reduce the exciton binding energy accelerating the charge separation,but also reduce the band gap of *** a result,the COF-NUST-36 with the lowest exciton binding energy(39.5 meV)shows the highest photocatalytic performance for selective oxidation of amines(up to 98%*** 97.5%Sel.).This work provides a feasible method for designing COFs with high photocatalytic activity by adjusting exciton binding energy.
