Silicon-based(Si-based) materials offer more possibilities for generating new portable electronic devices due to their high specific capacities. However, their inferior electrical conductivity and volume expansion during cycling seriously limit their development. The optimum solution is to select specific materials to establish an exceptionally conductive and volume buffer structure,which can assist Si materials in developing their excellent lithium storage properties. In this study, Si particles were confined in TiO_(2)carbon fibers(TiO_(2)CFs) via electrospinning, after which they were encapsulated with MXene and Co-MoS_(2)(CMS) nanosheets to fabricate hierarchical ST-2@MXene@CMS films. TiO_(2)CF, MXene and CMS were employed to establish a coherent conductive network with one-, two-and three-dimensional electronic pathways to permit the unimpeded flow of electrons inside the electrode material. TiO_(2)CF, MXene and CMS acted precisely as multilayered buffers to ameliorate the volume change of Si particles during cycling. In addition, the CMS nanosheets were involved in lithium storage, contributing to the final electrochemical performance. Ultimately, the ST-2@MXene@CMS films served as free-standing electrodes, avoiding the impact of inactive interfaces on the electrochemical performance and fulfilling the lightweight requirement for new energy storage devices.

An anti-saturation fault-tolerant adaptive torsional vibration control method with fixed-time prescribed performance for the rolling mill main drive system(RMMDS)was investigated,which is affected by control input saturation,actuator faults,sensor measurement errors,and parameter ***,we gave a continuously differentiable saturation function to approximate the control input saturation characteristic of the RMMDS,translating the saturation characteristic into the matched uncertainty and unknown time-varying gain in the ***,an RMMDS mathematical model with unmatched uncertainty and unknown time-varying gain was developed,taking into account the presence of control input saturation,actuator faults,sensor measurement errors,and parameter *** on the established mathematical model,an error transformation model of the roll speed tracking was constructed by the equivalent error transformation *** to the error transformation model,a barrier Lyapunov function and a novel adaptive controller were studied to ensure that the roll speed tracking error always evolves inside a fixed-time asymmetric ***,numerical simulations were performed in Matlab/Simulink to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed control method in suppressing the RMMDS torsional vibration.

In this paper,we investigate the maximization of the differences between a nonnegative monotone diminishing return submodular(DR-submodular)function and a nonnegative linear function on the integer *** it is almost unapproximable for maximizing a submodular function without the condition of nonnegative,we provide weak(bifactor)approximation algorithms for this problem in two online settings,*** the unconstrained online model,we combine the ideas of single-threshold greedy,binary search and function scaling to give an efficient algorithm with a 1/2 weak approximation *** the online streaming model subject to a cardinality constraint,we provide a one-pass(3-√5)/2 weak approximation ratio streaming *** memory complexity is(k log k/ε),and the update time for per element is(log^(2)k/ε).

Extraction of silica from fly ash to produce mesoporous silica materials is one of the most important utilization *** silica could not be synthesized on a large-scale by conventional sol-gel *** this paper,facile preparation of mesoporous silica with controllable pore structure from fly ash by the template-free process via two steps of mineral phase transformation and selective acid etching was *** influence of crystalline structure and acid etching degree on structure of as-synthesized mesoporous silica materials was revealed,as well as mechanism of crystalline structure transformation and pore structure *** results show that mullite and quartz could be transformed into acid-soluble kaliophilite when fly ash reacted with K_(2)CO_(3)at temperature of 800-1100℃.The hexagonal kaliophilite would be transformed into orthorhombic KAlSiO_(4)-O1 phase when the temperature is controlled at 1100℃.Mesoporous silica with specific surface area of 475.93 m^(2)/g and 642.57 m^(2)/g could be synthesized from activated fly ash with kaliophilite and KAlSiO_(4)-O1 phase crystalline *** controlling the degree of acid etching,mesoporous silica materials with different pore structures can be *** paper provides a cost-effective and large-scale process for the preparation of mesoporous silica materials with controllable pore structure from solid waste fly ash.

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) influences several million people around the globe， with a high prevalence in North America and Europe. Results from the studies about host-gut microbial interactions demonstrated that gut microbiota plays a critical role in the progression of IBD， and probiotics can significantly improve microflora dysbiosis and inflammatory response caused by intestinal pathogens. However， several limitations existed for the probiotics delivered to the intestine in the free form (non-encapsulated)， such as low pH and diverse digestive enzymes in the gastrointestinal tract， etc. To overcome the problems， several probiotic delivery systems were established and verified with effects. Here， the types and applications of probiotics in animal models and clinical studies are firstly reviewed in this paper. Subsequently， various types of probiotic delivery systems are elaborated， containing the well-known microcapsules and hydrogel delivery systems， and the engineered probiotic delivery systems are also introduced. Furthermore， mechanism of action associated with probiotics are illustrated， including maintaining gut microbiota barrier balance， modulating the immune response， and alleviating oxidative stress， etc. Finally， we discussed the relative advantages and disadvantages of different encapsulation methods， as well as future trends for further development of probiotic delivery systems with health benefits.

Compacted clay liners are extensively used as barriers to control the upward diffusion of vapors of volatile or semi-volatile organic contaminants released from unsaturated contaminated soils at industrycontaminated *** study aimed to investigate the gas diffusion barrier performance of compacted clayey soils amended with three agents including attapulgite and diatomite individually,and attapulgite/diatomite *** properties including water retention,volumetric shrinkage,gas diffusion,and unconfined compressive strength were evaluated through a series of laboratory tests of amended compacted clayey *** results demonstrate that the decrease in volume proportions of interaggregate pores leads to an increase in unconfined compressive strength(qu).Both hydrophilic groups and microstructures of attapulgite and diatomite result in an increase in water retention percent(Wt)of compacted clayey soil specimens after amendment regardless of the type of agent or initial water content(w0).Furthermore,the ratio of the gas diffusion coefficient(De)to the gas diffusion coefficient in the air(Da)was significantly reduced owing to a decrease in volume proportions of inter-aggregate pores,hydrophilic group,and microstructures of attapulgite and *** electron microscope analyses revealed that rod-shaped attapulgite filled the inter-aggregate pores formed by clay particles,whereas the disc-shaped diatomite particles,characterized by micropores,failed to obstruct the interaggregate pores due to their larger particle *** intrusion porosimetry(MIP)analyses showed a reduction in pore volume in the inter-aggregate pores,leading to a reduction in the total pore volume for both the attapulgite and attapulgite/diatomite mixture amended clays,which is in accordance with the scanning electron microscope(SEM)*** findings are pertinent to the practical application of compacted clay liners as gas barriers against the upward migration of volatile or s
