Metal foams have been intensively studied as three-dimensional （3-D） bulk mass-support for various applications because of their high conductivities and attractive mechanical properties. However, the relatively low surface area of conventional metal foams largely limits their performance in applications such as charge storage. Here, we present a convenient electrochemical method for addressing this problem using Cu foams as an example. High surface area Cu foams are fabricated in a one-pot one-step manner by repetitive electrodeposition and dealloying treatments. The obtained Cu foams exhibit greatly improved performance for different applications like surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy （SERS） substrates and 3-D bulk supercapacitor electrodes.

Determination of Weak Points Based on Risk Theory and Application to Transmission Network Planning

In the traditional power transmission network planning,deterministic analysis methods are widely *** such methods,all contingencies are deemed to have the same occurrence probability,which is not *** this paper,risk assessment is introduced to the process of transmission network planning considering the probabilistic characteristics of *** indices are given to determine the weak points of the transmission network based on local information,such as bus risk,line overload risk,contingency *** indices are calculated by the optimal cost control method based on risk theory,which can help planners to quickly determine weak points in the planning and find solution to *** simplification,only line overload violation is ***,the proposed method is validated by an IEEE-RTS test system and a real power system in China from two *** the first case,the original system is evaluated by the proposed method to find the weak points,and then four planning schemes are established,among which the best scheme is *** the second case,four initial planning schemes are established by combining the experiences of planners,and after the evaluation by using the proposed method,the best planning scheme is improved based on the information of weak points in the initial schemes,and the risk of improved scheme is reduced from 42 531.86 MW·h per year to 4 431.26 MW·h per year.

Turbulence in the nocturnal boundary layer(NBL)is still not well characterized,especially over complex underlying ***,gradient tower data and eddy covariance data collected by the Beijing 325-m tower were used to better understand the differentiating characteristics of turbulence regimes and vertical turbulence structure of urban the *** for heights above the urban canopy layer(UCL),the relationship between turbulence velocity scale(VTKE)and wind speed(V)was consistent with the“HOckey-Stick”(HOST)theory proposed for a relatively flat *** regimes have been identified according to urban nocturnal stable boundary *** 1 occurs where local shear plays a leading role for weak turbulence under the constraint that the wind speed VVT and is mainly driven by bulk *** 3 is identified by the existence of moderate turbulence when upside-down turbulence sporadic bursts occur in the presence of otherwise weak *** 4 is identified as buoyancy turbulence,when V>VT,and the turbulence regime is affected by a combination of local wind shear,bulk shear and buoyancy *** turbulence activities demonstrated a weak thermal stratification dependency in regime 1,for which within the UCL,the turbulence intensity was strongly affected by local wind shear when V<*** study further showed typical examples of different stable boundary layers and the variations between turbulence regimes by analyzing the evolution of wind *** because of the influence of large-scale motions,the power spectral density of vertical velocity for upsidedown structure showed an increase at low *** upside-down structures were also characterized by the highest frequency of the stable stratifications in the higher layer.

We present the logistic growth model to study the stochastic resonance （SR） in a bacterium growth system under the simultaneous action of two external multiplicative cross-correlation noises and periodic external forcing. The expression of the signal-to-noise ratio （SNR） for a bacterium growth system is derived by using the theory of SNR in the adiabatic limit. Based on SNR, we discuss the effects of self-correlation time τ1 and τ2, cross-correlation time 3-3 and cross-correlation strength λ on the SNR. It is found that the self-correlation time τ1 and τ2, and cross-correlation strength λ enhance the SR of the bacterium growth system, while cross-correlation time τ3 weakens the SR of the bacterium growth system.

Marine oil spills are among the most significant sources of marine *** aperture radar(SAR)has been used to improve oil spill observations because of its advantages in oil spill detection and ***,speckle noise,weak boundaries,and intensity inhomogeneity often exist in the oil spill regions of SAR imagery,which will seriously aff ect the accurate identification of oil *** enhance marine oil spill segmentation of SAR images,a fast,edge-preserving framework based on the distance-regularized level set evolution(DRLSE)model was ***,a bilateral filter penalty term is designed and incorporated into the DRLSE energy function(BF-DRLSE)to preserve the edges of oil spills,and an adaptive initial box boundary was selected for the DRLSE model to reduce the operation time *** sets of RadarSat-2 SAR data were used to test the proposed *** experimental results indicate that the bilateral filtering scheme incorporated into the energy function during level set evolution improved the stability of level set *** with other methods,the proposed improved BF-DRLSE algorithm displayed a higher overall segmentation accuracy(97.83%).In addition,using an appropriate initial box boundary for the DRLSE method accelerated the global search process,improved the accuracy of oil spill segmentation,and reduced computational ***,the results suggest that the proposed framework is eff ective and applicable for marine oil spill segmentation.

In this paper, we consider the phenomenon of stochastic resonance （SR） in a quartic bistable system under the simultaneous action of a multiplicative non-Gaussian and an additive Gaussian noises and a weak periodic signal. The expression of the signal-to-noise ratio R is derived by applying the two-state theory in adiabatic limit. We discuss the effects of the parameter q indicating the departure of the non-Gaussian noise from the Gaussian noise, the correlation time r of the non-Gaussian noise, and coupling intensity A between two noise terms on the stochastic resonance. It is found that the signM-to-noise ratio of the system, as a function of the additive noise intensity, undergoes the transition from having one peak to having two peaks, and then to having one peak again when the parameter q or the noise correlation time τ is increased. The parameter q and τ play opposite roles in the SR of the system.

In order to extract the internal tidal current from the current data which is not measured from the sea surface to the bottom, a data processing method is developed. It is based on the fact that the internal wave currents above and below the sharp thermocline are inverse in direction. This method is a practical extension to that proposed by Shu (1985) that can be only used to quite ideal current data. The ADCP data collected on the South China Sea is then processed by this method. The internal tidal current is successfully extracted.

B and T lymphocyte attenuator （BTLA）, identified as an immune inhibitory receptor recently, plays widespread roles on T and B cells.
